transmission fluid on automatic cars is usually red, but many manual transmissions just use engine oil (or something that looks strikingly similar). so just because the fluid coming out isn't red doesn't mean that you haven't missed the transmission. i'd suggest that you go out and buy a repair manual for your particular make & model of car.

having the engine warm lets the oil drain faster and more of the dirt will come out with it. But be careful not to burn your hands cuz it will be hot.

all u need to know the diff is the color trany is red and motor oil should be light brown when new and dark if ot black when needs to be changed so im sure being 15 u know the diffreance ot that hard
