  • @invincibleironman3 what is the name of that song on the intro? I'd like to hear it in its entirety. I mean, I do agree with you... Play the Parliament Jam. But that intro sounds like it might be worth checking out.

  • @invincibleironman3 if it wasnt for that intro u wouldnt be able to hear the song due to youtubes stupid copywrite rules. which is bullshit because im %100 sure irelandhiphop isnt making any money from his posts.

  • @invincibleironman3

They do that to dodge "The Man,"

  • One of the sampled groups in hip hop. The funk y'all...

  • George Clinton said that the funk will stand A hundred. And he ain't lien' Ask any real O.G. with a Lowrider, and I bet that he got some funk in the trunk.

  • Portland Oregon was all over this back in the day!

  • We was FUNKIN in DC in the basement with the red light gettin the freak OOOOONNNNNNN

  • This song got plenty of airplay in LA

  • It's totally criminal that this song didn't get any airplay in N.Y. black radio.

  • It did in St.Louis .

  • I'm sure it did. There were various reasons for why many P-Funk hits were shut out of NY radio.

  • That's messed up.

  • Don't get me wrong: the mega hits(Flash Light, Knee Deep, One Nation, Tear The Roof Off The Sucker...) all got their time in the sun. But Aqua Boogie, and a lot of follow up singles made little or no headway on NY black radio.

  • That's messed up

  • Yes it is. There were various reasons for this. Some political, some cultural (which in terms of black folks is almost one and the same).

  • Don't let the radio rule out whats funky in your heart. The funk wasn't ment to be radio freindly anyway. Some of yhe best cuts were the one's that the radio never played. You would have to be a real P-Funkaholic and a true funk-a-teer to know that.

  • We love the funk in L.A. Always have and Always will. 1580 K-DAY and KGFJ kept the funk alive for us.

  • @Timmyfunk1 wtf????????

  • HE GOT OLD.

  • Hell, we all did!

  • Will some one please tell me what happened to da Funk? Da master of funk, G.C. Y'all r welcome.
