the one thing left out here is that USPS consistently loses thousands of packages, much more frequently than fed ex or USPS.

Thats what made me suck up the fee and use UPS this christmas season. But since i was early and it didn't have to go far, it wasn't too expensive.

any other time of the year, i'll use usps but i really want my family to have theirgifts under the tree on Christmas.

Oh and reporting lost packages to USPS is a nightmare.

@hawaii8087 Yes to all that, plus USPS doesn't really guarantee Next Day delivery in the sense that Fed Ex and UPS do.
