excuze me but when have bullets not flone? i always thought for some odd reason the bullets always flew throught th air and hit the target but i gess i have ben wrong the hole time
@dacasman It's in the pattern of the Colt .45. Maybe it's a Colt, or a clone from one of the many manufacturers that specialize in that sort of thing (Kimber, for example), but it's definitely modern - lots of improvements over the original M1911 model.
@dacasman It's an SVI Infinity competition 1911, very well made and very expensive. Sorry about being late on the answer but the other answers people gave you were wrong.
@Stranger1700 If you're being sarcastic: I only own four firearms, I do not subscribe to any gun magazine, and I am not divorced. Also, I never claimed to be an expert in firearms, I only pointed out the orientations of many of the comments on this video around nine months ago.
@PIOQWERTY im a video game player and it does learn me something aobut guns but did i said im now a gun expert? did i or anyone else ever said that we are experts just because of videos games? it does learn something but not alot ofcourse video games are for fun not for gun education
what do you mean by sloppy? I'm suprised you didnt mention how much that bolt bounced on that AK-47 too. You do realize that A) the barrels in all glocks tilt to allow easy of loading of the next round into the barrel and B) glocks are "sloppy" by nature, just like the AKs, to insure that everything goes as planned and a little bit of dirt doesnt foul up the gun at a critical time. But if you knew anything about guns you would have known that. And see? I have educated you on it now.
Wow... a lot of hatred. I know that Glocks are built that way, ive seen clips dropped and kicked through the dirt, put in the gun and still work fine. I also knew it was a ramped barrel, but i was just amazed at how much the barrel actually moved. That's what i meant by "sloppy." I guess I used the wrong word to explain it...geese.
@unseenpunk1906 They are sloppy, they are sloppy like AKs are sloppy and inaccurate compared to precision firearms. I have held, disassembled, inspected and fired a lot of different ones and i have to tell you that the ones that are the most reliable (as to fire when submerged in water or full of sand/dirt) are also the most intolerant to specifications. Instead of having a tolerance of 1/100K AKs Glocks and other makes are around 1/10K of an inch tolerance. This makes it so debris can escape.
@s197stangdragger Who are you to talk about gun education when you know nothing about guns yourself.
Pistols with tilting barrels have tilting barrels to dispose of kinetic energy, the energy of a round going off would easily blow the slide off of the gun if it's velocity wasn't lowered, therefore the slide uses the heavy barrel as a counterweight in the first stages of firing, when barrel pressure has decreased, the barrel tilts down to allow the slide to perform a slow and smooth recoil.
dude you are so full of shit. The RECOIL spring absorbs RECOIL. not the tilting barrel. The barrel does one thing. Holds the cartridge as the bullet is fired through it. If the energy of the round going off would normally rip the slide off then the barrel is not gonna stop that. And barrels are not heavy at all. A glock barrel weighs about a 5th of what the slide weighs. The bullet is being loaded as the barrel is tilting back forward. This solves feed problems due to hollowtip bullets.
I understand where you're coming from. I have somewhat the same opinion about "plastic" being used on firearms, but at the same time the abs we use today is more durable and reinforced than wood. That's why lower receivers are plastic instead of wood, such as Glocks, Rugers etc.
so you can see the inner workings. all that covers the guide spring and bolt assembly is a thin piece of stamped metal. the key to the AKs success and a durable rifle is in fact that it is not a tight fitting or precisely honed/milled gun. Its ample internal clearances give dirt and particulate room to be pushed around instead of interfering with mechanisms.
Yeah, glock 18 is the only original-made glock with full-auto, it is only for army and special cops not for ordinary people, however, there is a way how to make every glock full-auto. Well, it is ilegall of course, but who knows :)
Its not a scope for one, it has zero magnification, its just a red dot for quick target aquisition, and if you have ever been to or go to a tournament you will see alot of people with their "own" hand placement, there is no one correct technique, the right one is the one that gets you hitting the target where you want everytime.
Well i have never been one for "tournament" shooting. I see no point, i've served in the British Army, so i guess i have a different gun background to you guys.
I mean you dont get time to 'aquire' targets on active service, you aim, you fire, you hit the mark. end of.
@Dukeyboy "active service" or "active duty" are both pretty common place terms in the UK, "theatre" is very much an americanism, and ive never heard any soldier refer to it as "ops" before, so again, i assume its an americanism.
also: he never mentioned pistol expertise, he said he didnt like tournament target shooting, and then described target aquisition...
nice video, except in AK scene, if the bolt carrier jumps out of lower reciever- it will end up in shooters head 50 % inside the brain. It happened many times before by idiots who done removed the top receiver cover.
Its a special feature of most modern pistols. First found on the Glock. For the round to load properly the barrel takes up a slight change in the angle at which it sits so the round loads neatly into the breach.
As a secondary purpose, yes, but the barrel tilts primarily so that abutments on top of the barrel may disengage from slots in the slide, unlocking the breech. This locking method dates back to John Browning's designs, most famous of which is the 1911.
First found on the Glock? No it was'nt actually, its the 'Browning tilting barrel system', first found on 'Browning' pistols funnily enough, later Glock and a number of other manufactures adopted the system becuase it reduces the chance of the bullet casing snaggin on the feed-ramp. Because of this though the pistol can be a little less accurate because of the 'floating' barrel.
Fuck off this has been explained to me already. I wasnt aware that it was found on the browning. So fuck up. Leave 3 week old comments alone. And read the whole thing before you go and act like a cock.
