I admit he has made some pretty bad flicks but he's also made some classics in the 50s. Take The Pit And The Pendulum for example. The man had a low budget but made the whole movie look over the top, in my mind that takes tallent. Today directors are lazy assholes, Burt I Gordon, Ed Wood, Corman, Adamson had passion and creativity when making their films. Even if some turned out bad, some are really good and have stood the test of time
