This is a remake of the 1934 Mickey Mouse cartoon that is the same, except with the characters remodeled for their appearances in the future.

What's the name of the chicken? It's one of those characters that kind of just fadded into obscurity as time passed. Horace Horsecollar and Clarabell Cow made their comeback in later cartoons but the chicken never came back; I wonder why?

She did in a manner - Jim Henson used the idea of singing chickens in The Muppet Show, including one prima donna chook that Gonzo used to adore.
