Thanks Tempe...I posted the lyrics in 3 separate posts (due to maximum characters allowed). They are posted in "backwards" order due to the YouTube set-up. Keep up the great music! And thanks for sharing with us.
Lovely! I'm sure Joan will consider it a great honor :)
The video/audio quality left me missing out on some of the words. Is there some way fans could read the words, or, could you possibly re-do the video?
What a beautiful song! I am a long-time Joan fan, and now a short-time (so far) Tempe fan. :) I especially like the melody of the chorus. You play the piano well also. It is a bit difficult to hear all the lyrics on this recording. Woudl it be possible to post them here? What an honor to Joan to have had you write her a song. She has inspired so many of us in so many different ways over the last 50 years.
yea dear sister,
now i can see you and listen to your sweet music anytime!

You are the music of my life, the lyrics and the melodies
A key unlocking all the doors of memories and dreams.

With words that draw me to my knees, so filled with passion and with power
You are the burst of harmony
The tempo, rhythm and the key
The verse and the refrain, repeated and sustained
I sing your song as I sing mine, your voice of aging velvet wine
The resonance and clarity, your music holds the memory
The voices carry me away to ocean sounds and starry nights
and mountains crisped by sunlit snow, and sweet guitars at morning light

Yours is the music of my life, the lyrics and the melodies
A key unlocking all the doors of memories and dreams.
You sing the longings of my heart, you are the time machine of youth
You call to me to take a part in speaking out the truth.
I hear the aching violin calling forth visions that inspire
and the trembling mandolin that draws the shape of my desire
Your fingers quick as honey bees that sip and sting your songs for hours

There's not enough room to post the lyrics here. Is there another way to send them?
