I saw William on (I think) Chris Matthews and was impressed by him. I'm impressed by his knowledge of his rights and by his willingness to demonstrate them openly. I think he has guts and by exercising his rights he informs people who aren't even aware that they have them as they are slowly being removed beyond the point of eventual no return
Can someone please explain to me how cesspools like mass can put restrictions on peoples second ammendment right when the supreme court said gun ownership is a civil right protected by our bill of rights.
Also explain how the goverment is allowed to steal out Machine gun rights with the illegal unconstitution ban of 86.
@LiveFreeOrDie1985 Look up McDonald vs Chicago a supreme court decision upholding gun owners rights. A Chicago ordinance was passed making it illegal to own even a handgun. The Supreme court eventually upheld the 2nd amendment 5-4. Obama has placed Kagan and Sotomayer to the SCOTUS. If he is reelected and is able to place one more, then local and state govts may pass laws against gun ownership and the SCOTUS may start voting 5-4 against gun ownership. It is getting bad.
@LiveFreeOrDie1985 The Supreme Court ruled in favor of the gun owner and in favor of gun ownership according to the Constitution. But if Obama is able to name one more Supreme Court justice future challenges to local laws passed against gun ownership may not survive a challenge even it it gets all the way to the Supreme Court. Just one of many reasons to vote Obama out of office in November 2012. Thanks. I'm starting to like New Hampshire.
I fully agree with the right for individuals to have access to armaments as a means of self defense. However, self defense is to be used RESPONSIBLY and APPROPRIATELY. Bringing a firearm to a protest at a town hall is not self defense. It is an openly political statement designed to implement shock and awe tactics which devalue the valid arguments for gun rights.
Most shooters are actually really scared, not of suicide obviously, but of getting shot somebody else. They want to stay in controll or they simply havn't got the stomach for it.
William Kostric I enjoy Chris Mathews and thinks he asked great questions. I do not like guns, but they are legal, necessary and Americans should protect their rights. You stood up for what you believe and what is right. I think you did an excellent job supporting your rights and your argument. If more gun owners were like you, people would not feel so negative toward guns. EXCELLENT JOB FROM AN ANTI GUN PERSON!
So Mr. Kostric, you are eloquent and a true believer in personal liberty. When and where are you going to run for office? You are needed on the front line.
@gunsite308 "Hate begets hate; violence begets violence; toughness begets a greater toughness. We must meet the forces of hate with the power of love...Our aim must never be to defeat or humiliate.... but to win his friendship and understanding." Dr. Martin Luther King
@gunsite308 I understand that guns are objects...thank you for the clarification...but their purpose CANNOT..they were meant for ONE thing..TO KILL....end of story...rebuttal destroyed..let's move on...people carry because they're scared...scared to death I guess (Not a great way to live if you ask me).....These statistics that you speak of??? From where? Who? When? I don't see any, your argument is weak (at best) without ANYTHING to back it up, other than your word...nice try, though.
"Nobody wants violence..." Ummm..you had a gun...are guns NOT considered violent? I think this guy needs some serious help...anyone does who feels that they have to carry a concealed weapon.
But notice no one mentioned on Harball that he was attacked by two SEIU thugs who spit in his face and kicked him in the groin and yet, he never TOUCHED his gun.
Not a good idea to bring a gun to any presidential speech or any political type rally. It is well known politicians are at risk of extreme political backlash which sometimes involves people getting shot. Leave your gun at home you Idiot. If I was standing anywhere near you I would of kept a very close eye on you and stood close to you as to react to any sign of aggression and to cut your fricken throat open before you had a chance to shoot anyone.
So wanted to play policeman or soldier, but couldn't qualify – so now they play army-man and Ranger-Bob on weekends, and sport their loaded sidearms while going grocery shopping and visiting elementary schools. SO MANLY of these wannabes. SO PATHETIC, actually. Like the lame 50's BIKERS that buy HARLEY's and take them out on Sunday mornings for 15 minutes!
Let me get this straight. Carrying a loaded gun to a Presidential event, and a sign that refers to assassinations of elected leaders… on top of this nut, who has NO CLUE that the association of these two "clearly visible" props would lead ANY LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICER to scream, "PUT THE GOD-DAMNED GUN DOWN…" somehow doesn't manufacture the brain-power of a Teahead to think… "Duh, maybe this isn't such a good idea?" Then again, threatening folks with guns IS fun, isn't it?!
@granthemenway Both of you are victims. Maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow. It will happen, and we will read about you in the police blotter. "liberal loudmouths killed because prefer criminals to honest citizens". Rest in pieces.
@medartist01.. Hiya Meda, this sounds to me what you would've 'Liked' to have happened.. & not even close to what actually 'Happened' .. therefore, you need some tender, loving medication.. Heavy Medication..
& then speak to a profesional, & then turn in your hand gun & surrender your rights of the 2nd Amend..
Based on this response, this is how You personally would've acted being a citizen,.. or this is how You personally would've reacted being a LEO.. and you shouldn't be trusted with either.
@ChAp0GuZmAn You racist idiot If one of you nuts carry a weapon near Obama you are STUPID. Like it or not he is the duly elected President. If you have a hang up because he is black TOO BAD. He won fair and square so deal with it.
@Darusdei Apparently as a Sailor in the Navy, I was the only motherfucker in the world who has been well trained with guns, has carried them and fired them all over America and the world and has never shot anyone in an emotional panic. Thanks for the information jackass.
@BeingNobody1956 Do you think if the soldiers at Ft. Hood happend to be armed that they would "panic" and do more harm than good? Is that why you're getting on my ass? Because I'm well aware of the "Fuck The 2nd Amendment" movement, but the idea that US soldiers are incapable of dealing with gunfire and would readily panic is new to me. So you're taking this anti-gun euro-socialist side, no one can POSSIBLY EVER be responsible with a gun? If not, re read the discussion.
this is one of the most ignorant, paranoid individual I have seen in a long time. but most people who want to carry a gun with them everywhere they go are ignorant and paranoid.
Based on the the flawed logic of anti-gun folks, Since so many people have been hurt by the Mortgage Crisis, and losing homes, jobs, etc. The govt. should outlaw home ownership across the board because they want to stop people from getting hurt. Why don't the anti- gun people understand this?
I think you did a standup job in your Mathews interview. I also realize that you don't do it for a living whereas he does, yet you kept your composure while he was yelling questions/statements to you and refused to give their network an ignorant soundbyte. Great job!! I also have a PTC, It's not about intimidation, its about excersizing a right and saying we won't have it taken away from us by statists!
@hardwirecars Yeah God believes in using weapons to kill people. You probably are the type of Christian that doesn't want everyone to get equal access to health care when all that Jesus Christ stood for was helping those in need. The last time I checked, Jesus Christ did not believe in violence and was willing to be crucified for his convictions. You don't sound like a Christian to me.
Right on, a well-spoken, articulate individual defending his right to bear arms. I'm sure Secret Service would't hestitate to disarm him if they felt the presidential perimeter were not secured regardless.
The first thing the German National Socialists (NAZIS) did after they were democratically elected into power was register guns for "public safety". Within a year ALL guns were outlawed for "public safety". Withing the next few years, millions of "enemies of the State" were rounded up, tortured and executed for "homeland security".
Can this happen again? "Homeland Security" "TSA" "Habeas corpus suspended" "Imprisonment without trial of "suspected terrorists" etc.
so he's carrying a firearm as defense and protection, presumably from other people not animals. protection from other people would mean that he doesn't necessarily trust other people, that those people might be harmful to him. if we extend that to everybody and say that we should be worried about people we don't know wouldn't it make much more sense to be afraid of an admitted "extremist" who has a gun strapped to his leg....hmmmm.
he's very well spoken, but he himself admits that his actions and his viewpoints presented at the rally are "extreme" which would technically make him an admitted "extremist"......outside of hunting and fear of other people there is no reason a rational society needs guns. do you REALLY believe that your handgun is gonna help to overthrow a nuclear armed tyranny?? come on dude, quit being such a dumbass.......
What do all mass shooting places have in common, from schools to military bases....... They are all gun controlled. Yes. Even the military base, it is just as gun controlled as a school.
What fucking idiot...yeah we should all carry firearms to political rallies...that way it can turn into a giant shoot out and a lot of people can die...no one will know who to shoot...fuck it, this guy could do us all a favor and put the gun in his mouth and pull the trigger.. it could save all the sane people in this world a lot of trouble
@richardmulroy If guns are the problem, why aren't there any shootouts at NRA conventions or at gun shows, places where there are thousands of guns? There isn't.
@n310ea The guns serve as a deterrent. Its much like the US and USSR not attacking each other during the cold war because they would have destroyed each other. People like the serial killer that just killed six people and wounded dozens more in Arizona would not attempt doing that sort of thing at an NRA convention or gun show.
@Darusdei People are not allowed to carry guns on a base, only MP are allowed. If they were, that nut job wouldn't have lasted more than a shot or 2. An armed society is a polite society. He likely wouldn't have not even attempted.
@MrTomcroteau i know and there are perfectly good reasons why you're not allowed to carry guns on base...
that gun man would have been able to cause more havoc if everyone would've been armed.
people do stupid things when they panic. if you don't have any training except how to handle a fire arm there is a high posibility that you will just do more harm than good
@Darusdei You assume, members of the ARMED FORCES aren't trained in handling ARMS. You also assume members of the ARMED FORCES would "panic" if shot at. Yeah, because that's how it goes down in Afghanistan. Get out of here kid.
@promontorium i don't assume anything, i've served in a military and you obviously havent, otherwise you wouldn't even make such idiotic statements...
go ask a active soldier why they don't carry guns on base...
@Darusdei Yeah, you do assume members of the ARMED FORCES panic in a threat I'll quote you " you're not allowed to carry guns on base...
that gun man would have been able to cause more havoc if everyone would've been armed.
people do stupid things when they panic. if you don't have any training except how to handle a fire arm there is a high posibility that you will just do more harm than good"
You see, that's you, saying members of the armed forces would "panic". That is an "assumption".
@Darusdei You say you've "served in a military". What military? I'm a veteran of the U.S. Navy. I was qualified in handguns shotguns rifles and machine guns. I've served as law enforcement in the military. I've stood as sentry in bases around the world. You don't know shit you fucking troll. Pull your head out of your ass.
@Darusdei So you served in an unprofessional military, you know nothing of the US military, entirely voluntary, consisting of people who want to serve, who want to succeed. Again, all your bitching has been based on your refusal to admit you don't know what you're talking about, you assumed the soldiers at Ft. Hood would "panic". Those soldiers know war. They wouldn't panic. Your point was invalid. And reveling you're a Euro-socialist was the best way to kill your anti-gun argument.
@promontorium "they don't panic they know war" lol, what kinda bullshit argument is that?
the fort hood incident happened at "home" and no, the military personel didn't have any training for a similar situation, how to handle a gun doesn't even come to the equation.
"reveling you're euro-socialist" lol what the fuck does that even mean... perhaps a few more years in school would do some good?
@promontorium well i was in the US Army for 11 years. we trained with M-16s once a year, in basic training we touched an M60 machine gun. I was only required to qualify with a .45 one time in 11 years. only specialized jobs in the Army regularly qualify with anything other than M16s. it is not true that all members of the Army are trained in all aspects of firearms. and unless deployed to a war zone most members of the military only see live ammo at their yearly qualifications
@Darusdei Based on the the flawed logic of anti-gun folks, Since so many people have been hurt by the Mortgage Crisis, and losing homes, jobs, etc. The govt. should outlaw home ownership across the board because they want to stop people from getting hurt. ... be...cause they're around people who share the same ideas and thus the situation isn't volatile. Duh. 18 people thumbs upped -this- post? What a joke.
@tomperanteau you're the mannnnn! that was the best diss I ever heard!... sound like somebodies stepfather or somethin' lmao fuk outta here old man... live a little n get off your computer chump...
@StealOnU You children are cute when you actually try to formulate an idea and then express it. Keep at it and one day your IQ may just jump into the double-digit range.
@tomperanteau Did u just call me cute? pauuuuse that immediately!
I'm far from a child, I made joke. You acted snotty like a little bitch... and you should probably press the restart button on your life. Find a personality fasssst!
@tomperanteau damn you're a clown. you STILL don't realize u originally made a bitch ass remark to me out of the blue... sorry but u lost... i will clown on u all day.
"I tirrrrrre of toiling with..." shhhhhut the fuuuuuuk uuuuuuuup.... fake ass monty python ass muh fucka...
@StealOnU Your homosexual tendencies are showing. Now, if you're going to fantasize about another man, you might want to keep that to yourself. I don't swing in that direction. I"m heterosexual.
The only reason to carry a gun is you are afraid for your life.
You have a choice to conceal that weapon or display it.
Tactically it would be smarter to conceal that weapon for a number of reasons. (don't draw attention, surprise, etc.)
The only reason to display it is to intimidate others.
Ergo open carry nuts are cowards who want to bully everyone else and create a climate of fear. They make the same mistake that all bullies make, they mistake fear for respect.
@kradschutze Negative amigo. I don't wear a seat belt because I'm acutely afraid for my life while driving. Similarly, carrying a pistol can and has become a habit rather than a response to fear. I don't carry out of fear; it is merely risk management. Furthermore, wearing a weapon openly can demonstrate rights, show off your fancy toy, allow you to carry a larger pistol more comfortably than you could concealed or (as do police) deter threats by the presence of force.
Like all these assholes who open carry, this guy is just a chickeshit. A scared little kid, terrified of everyone and everything. Some serious abuse in this guy's childhood.
... tyrants, and anyone with more than a single functioning brain cell who comprehends that the average person is a complete moron easily led into fanaticism and should never be allowed to just wander around with a pistol. And even rational, level-minded people have really, really bad days, get drunk, or just snap now and again.
I finally met Bill at the 2010 April 15 Tea Party -- thank you Bill, for going on with Matthews... that same night I refused to. People are going to have to use their heads -- someone sporting a piece on his leg does not mean he's going to use it. Nothing about you being spit on by the astroturf thugs however.
"If you are not well endowed then carrying a gun could theoritically make up for that."
If you can point to me an instance where a gun aided in procreation between a consenting couple or if a male attacker used his penis to successfully kill another human being, then maybe your contention may have an air of credence.
I am a proud Southern White male who legally owns a firearm and this guy that Mr. Matthews interviewed, while articulate, is totally misguided by bringing a handgun to a political event. Especially one with the POTUS present. The interviewee is so misguided.
@padude64 you are still commenting on this?? I can see you are still the idiot playing the race card. Admit to the world you are calling the man a racist because you lack the intellect to debate the issue.
@padude64 yeah there are a lot of bigots..more of them on the obama side. how many blacks voted for obama BECAUSE he is black. go watch howard sterns episode when he has a guy go to harlem and ask them questions about obama. Who cares about McCain? he is an idiot and has nothing to do with this video.
By the police WE THE PEOPLE are referred to as civilians, not citizens. Police departments everywhere are adopting black uniforms & black window tinting. Even the University of Central Florida has a S.W.A.T. team. Welcome the fulfillment of the vision of the U.N.'s founders! [Abe "Adolf" Lincoln is the model potentates aspire to.]
Matthews won the debate, which was not about gun rights (Matthews defended them) but about what is and is not appropriate behavior in a pubic forum within a civilized society.
Kostric lost the debate for one simple reason: there's no good reason to bring a loaded gun to a pubic town hall meeting.
I would have liked to seen at least 1,000 people show up with open fire arms standing on their constitutional rights. Bet your ass you would have seen the most organized polite event to date. God bless Man and i wish we had more people with the guts to stand up for our rights like you do.
@ArmadilloLind WTG! GOOD JOB ON RACIAL SLUR BASED ON SKIN COLOR! NOW SAY NIGGER AND WETBACK TOO! OH WAIT THAT MIGHT OFFEND SOMEONE RIGHT? FUCKING IDIOT.
So standing up for your constitutional rights is acting like a foolish child?? WOW! I applaud this man and wish he had more like him. Thank God we have less like you. And Skyfox you need to get a better understanding of our history and where we are heading.
the guy held a sign that implied violence and had not particular political message other than shedding blood. its a very old saying and the dude had a gun. no brainer here. he can do what he wants its America but to say the guy wasn't implying some sort of violence is being blind on purpose. idc what he does and he should do more fuck the govt the Repubs and the Demo's. my only sigh is this guy was probably all daisies and happy in his head during bush. true blindness. bush was just as twisted.
He rules and he did a great job pissing off chris matthews he had him cussing mad i love it when he gets all cluster fucked in his head cause he can,t make a point this guy owned chris matthews
You would have to be extremely biased to say that Matthews "had his ass handed to him" by this guy, seeing as this guy didn't actually answer Chris' questions, but avoided them. He does answer them here, though, in a round-about way: He carried that particular sign to say that he will only be pushed so far. In other words, a thinly veiled threat. To Chris, he tried the "it's my right" excuse, but that still doesn't begin to say WHY he did it.
Chris Mathews is no different than Bill O'Rielly or Sean Hanity; Mathews just shouts over his guests in trying to provoke an angry response. Hanity and O'Rielly are good at doing that and that's what helps them get their ratings.
Mathews got his ass handed to him and I applaud Mr. Kostric for standing up to these media turds who constantly spew out false information just for the purpose of getting viewers excited and angry.
How did Matthews get "OWNED" by someone who kept evading the questions? I am not familiar with this Chris Matthews fellow, and your assesment of his character may be correct, BUT - in the segment with this particular imbesil, his questions were very reasonable (except when he asked for whom this person voted). Carrying a GUN to a presidential event, and with a sign hinting toward presidential assassination... he might as well have carried a sign saying, "I'm a psycho".
To you anyone carrying a gun would be a "psycho" What Mr. Kostric was perfectly legal Legal yes; but smart; absolutely NOT.
If you have ever watched Chris Mathews' program or even people like BIll O'Rielly or Sean Hanity and listened to their questioning of their guests, you would see that the questions are geared with half-truths and are designed to elicit an emotional response.
Often times when people are emotional, they do not think through on what they say. Mr Kostric stood his ground.
"To you anyone carrying a gun would be a "psycho" What Mr. Kostric was perfectly legal Legal yes; but smart; absolutely NOT."
Carrying a gun branding someone a psycho? No, I never said that, and WOULD never say that. Carrying a gun AND carrying a sign saying the tree of liberty needs to be watered? Yes, absolutely: he's a nut job.
Might I also add that just like carrying a wallet that sticks partially out of the pocket is irresponsible, so is carrying a gun that sticks partially out of its holster, without being secured in any way. A wallet can be pinched without you noticing, and a gun may be drawn by someone behind you before you have time to react.
If you looked carefully you would clearly see the strap snapped in place over the rear of the slide that secures the gun to the holster. Aside from that, there is an internal lock that holds the gun in place. And I can clearly SEE ALL OF THAT from the video!
You obviously know nothing. You need to educate yourself some more.
You need glasses. Its there. I can clearly see it.
We can debate what the sign means until the end of days. What the sign means is not the issue. The issue here is everyone calling this man a nut job for exercising his rights.
Obviously you and Chris Mathews were in the minority of people who thought Mr. Kostric was a threat that day.
What the sign means is EXACTLY the issue. Please point out where I called him a nut job for excercizing his RIGHTS. This is NOT about his rights, nor was it ever. We have a RIGHT to lots of things, but having a RIGHT to do something is not the same as having a REASON to. Where's his pogo stick? Why isn't he chewing gum? Where are the 14 wrist watches he has a RIGHT to wear on his right arm?
No one is attacking his RIGHTS - only his REASONS. And that is where the sign comes in.
The Secret Service left him alone; he was NOT arrested. The police did NOT arrest him because he did NOTHING wrong.
What does all that tell you?
If you would rather us live in some fantasy Utopian society where there are no guns, no knives no weapons or crime of any kind, where we all live in harmony holding hands walking down the street.....then go back in time and move to Nazi Germany; where speaking out, resisting, questioning and standing up for yourself got you BURNED!
"The Secret Service left him alone; he was NOT arrested. The police did NOT arrest him because he did NOTHING wrong.
What does all that tell you? "
What has that got to do with anything? I never said he was doing anything ILLEGAL. What I have said from the beginning is that the gun COMBINED WITH THAT SIGN is a threat, but he doesn't want to own up to it. If he had been carrying a sign with a political message and carried that gun, I wouldn't have raised an eyebrow. (cont.)
(cont.) But that sign did not have any relevance to any political agenda. "It is time to water the tree of liberty"? Is that NOT supposed to be threatening? On a PRESIDENTIAL EVENT? The sign refers to an expression calling for the assassination of political leaders, for pete's sake. And phrased such that he was calling Obama a tyrant in the process. He carried a gun to ram the point home: "this is what I stand for, and I've got the means, sonny".
Why would someone want to own up to something when that person did NOT break the law or do anything wrong?
No one here has a problem with what this guy did except you. Owning up to something would be as a result of someone feeling remorse or regret for having done something they now felt was wrong or actions that were poorly timed; and Mr. Kostric feels neither!
"Owning up to something would be as a result of someone feeling remorse or regret for having done something they now felt was wrong or actions that were poorly timed"
No, you are confusing "owning up" with "confessing". Owning up to something is the same as standing up for your convictions. It is when you ARE feeling guilty about something that you don't want to own up to it. Eg., I own up to being a royalist, because I have no shame in being a royalist.
In this case, it is perfectly understandable why he doesn't want to own up directly (although he did do so indirectly in this very video!) to wishing to intimidate, because it IS illegal to make physical threats, and he probably realizes that he'd come off as the nut job he is by admitting to wearing a gun and that sign for the purpose of intimidation. And we have all been in that situation: (cont.)
(cont.) Doing something which seemed a good idea at the time, which we thought would make us look cool, earn us respect or whatnot, and looking back realizing we were just making asses of ourselves. That is something very hard to own up to, and so we make excuses, just like this guy is making excuses. And very transparent ones, at that. You agree with him because you WANT to agree with him, because you think this is about the excercizing of rights. It isn't, and never was.
Mr. Kostric was the one who was accosted at the event. Did you see the other video? Probably not because you never even mention it. Mr. Kostric was well behaved and made no threats either verbally, he never touched his gun or even looked at it.
You seem to be the only one who has the problem. Granted it was not the right venue for this stunt, but it was PERFECTLY LEGAL and Law Enforcement knew it which is why he was NOT arrested for carrying the gun. Deal with it.
"Mr. Kostric was the one who was accosted at the event."
Well, duh. Don't tell me you're surprised. My guess is that's exactly the reaction he was hoping for, too. And he didn't NEED to make verbal threats, when he had the sign to do it for him.
"but it was PERFECTLY LEGAL"
And I have NEVER SAID OTHERWISE, so I really do not see why you keep pushing on that issue, as nowhere did I ever question the legality of it. Seriously, it seems you're just out to pick a fight here.
The anointed one; Our President thought with his super majority in both houses of Congress that he could shove all his schemed down the throats of Americans.
People fell for the stimulus scheme; but he got stopped DEAD in his tracks with the health care scam. Why do you think? Obama is a politician; no different that the criminal in the White House before him.
Again; the Secret Service even the local police left Mr. Kostric be. The only people that had a problem were Mathews and you.
WOW....your comments are absolutely absurd!!! Your the nut job here! Do you even understand what freedom and liberty are?!?!?! You are just another Obama liberal socialist!!!! Your progessive and radical ideology are part of the reason why America is in such decline.
Ooooooook. So your argument basically consists of claiming my comments are absurd, with no justification whatsoever. On top of that, although I have revealed absolutely nothing of my political leanings, you spout McCarthy-paranoia where EVERYONE who disagrees with you is a commie, apparently. And *I* am supposed to be the nut job? You and your kind are the reason people don't respect America.
Why is he a nut job? Just because he stood up to the "establishment"
It was a peaceful event. Even the police officer that approached Mr. Kostric at one of these events was NOT alarmed. The officer was very respectful and professional.
Your comments are absurd. You may not have said he was a psycho; but the implication/suggestion was there. Think next time before you write something.
While other people are afraid to stand up for what they believe in and would rather let others protest and speak while they remain silent, Mr Kostric stood his ground against Chris Mathews.
It is our Second Amendment right to keep and bear arms. The framers wrote that NOT with "hunting" or "target shooting" in mind....but for the protection of the American people from those that would do us harm, be it our government or an ordinary criminal scum out there.
It's not about what his RIGHT is. He didn't wear a gun because it was his RIGHT. No one does anything because it's their RIGHT. Case point: Chris pointed out that it was his RIGHT to carry a pogo stick as well, and yet he wasn't. Why? Because he had no reason to do so. No reason - even though it was his right. From this we see that having a RIGHT to do something does not itself give you a REASON to do it. His REASON to carry a gun was seen in the sign he carried: he wanted to intimidate.
He never wanted to intimidate. Obviously you feel intimidated. The president, who was NOT even at that location was NOT intimidated. Neither were the police.
As far as Mr. Kostric; he was right in his actions; maybe not the best venue to show it, but he was right. Which is why he was NOT arrested. He was belittled and attacked on television but remained calm and composed. Chris Mathews seemed to have the problem. Look who was doing the shouting? Mathews was.
Tell me, what was the message on his sign? What did that message imply? When in addition you place that sign together with a gun, what does THAT imply? You even have it from the horse's mouth in this video: the message was that he will only be pushed so far. That's a threat. He doesn't SAY what will happen "or else," but he wears the gun to imply it, and pretends that because he didn't acutally SAY it, he retains deniability.
@DELTASPABOY04. I think you were trying to spell *Bigot and no Matthews got his ass handed to him from an average joe. Keep drinking the kool-aid retard.
ALLOWS? who "allows" a free man to do what a free man does? The US is a shooting gallery only where gang bangers are "allowed" to terrorize without fear of vigilantes. Go to one of those other countries and see how you fare, try Haiti, I hear they love the defensless this time of year.
Uhh... didn't a white woman just kill 3 people at a University where she taught, and had no affiliations with a gang?
I also heard about that anti-semite who bought an assualt rifle, legally, walked into a jewish preschool, and shot a bunch of people because he hates Jews.
I also heard about a bunch of other, non gang related shootings that were committed with legal, "rightfully owned" firearms.
Did you know US citizens don't have the "freedom" or "right" to walk down the street naked?
I saw William on (I think) Chris Matthews and was impressed by him. I'm impressed by his knowledge of his rights and by his willingness to demonstrate them openly. I think he has guts and by exercising his rights he informs people who aren't even aware that they have them as they are slowly being removed beyond the point of eventual no return

You stood up for what you believe and what is right. I think you did an excellent job supporting your rights and your argument. If more gun owners were like you, people would not feel so negative toward guns. EXCELLENT JOB FROM AN ANTI GUN PERSON!

Not a good idea to bring a gun to any presidential speech or any political type rally. It is well known politicians are at risk of extreme political backlash which sometimes involves people getting shot. Leave your gun at home you Idiot.

"Homeland Security" "TSA" "Habeas corpus suspended" "Imprisonment without trial of "suspected terrorists" etc.

n310ea 1 year ago 28
@n310ea The guns serve as a deterrent. Its much like the US and USSR not attacking each other during the cold war because they would have destroyed each other. People like the serial killer that just killed six people and wounded dozens more in Arizona would not attempt doing that sort of thing at an NRA convention or gun show.

so you've stood as a sentry at bases around the world, well congratulations, i hope you feel that you've achieved something.
Darusdei 9 months ago
@Darusdei So you served in an unprofessional military, you know nothing of the US military, entirely voluntary, consisting of people who want to serve, who want to succeed. Again, all your bitching has been based on your refusal to admit you don't know what you're talking about, you assumed the soldiers at Ft. Hood would "panic". Those soldiers know war. They wouldn't panic. Your point was invalid. And reveling you're a Euro-socialist was the best way to kill your anti-gun argument.
promontorium 9 months ago
@promontorium "they don't panic they know war" lol, what kinda bullshit argument is that?
the fort hood incident happened at "home" and no, the military personel didn't have any training for a similar situation, how to handle a gun doesn't even come to the equation.
"reveling you're euro-socialist" lol what the fuck does that even mean... perhaps a few more years in school would do some good?
not very bright are you...
Darusdei 9 months ago
@promontorium well i was in the US Army for 11 years. we trained with M-16s once a year, in basic training we touched an M60 machine gun. I was only required to qualify with a .45 one time in 11 years. only specialized jobs in the Army regularly qualify with anything other than M16s. it is not true that all members of the Army are trained in all aspects of firearms. and unless deployed to a war zone most members of the military only see live ammo at their yearly qualifications

They make the same mistake that all bullies make, they mistake fear for respect.
kradschutze 1 year ago
@kradschutze Negative amigo. I don't wear a seat belt because I'm acutely afraid for my life while driving. Similarly, carrying a pistol can and has become a habit rather than a response to fear. I don't carry out of fear; it is merely risk management. Furthermore, wearing a weapon openly can demonstrate rights, show off your fancy toy, allow you to carry a larger pistol more comfortably than you could concealed or (as do police) deter threats by the presence of force.

Gilmaris 1 year ago
Chris Mathews is no different than Bill O'Rielly or Sean Hanity; Mathews just shouts over his guests in trying to provoke an angry response. Hanity and O'Rielly are good at doing that and that's what helps them get their ratings.
Mathews got his ass handed to him and I applaud Mr. Kostric for standing up to these media turds who constantly spew out false information just for the purpose of getting viewers excited and angry.
A media giant got OWNED by an average joe.
Hellsredeemer 1 year ago
@Hellsredeemer
Gilmaris 1 year ago
To you anyone carrying a gun would be a "psycho" What Mr. Kostric was perfectly legal Legal yes; but smart; absolutely NOT.
If you have ever watched Chris Mathews' program or even people like BIll O'Rielly or Sean Hanity and listened to their questioning of their guests, you would see that the questions are geared with half-truths and are designed to elicit an emotional response.
Often times when people are emotional, they do not think through on what they say. Mr Kostric stood his ground.

Carrying a gun branding someone a psycho? No, I never said that, and WOULD never say that. Carrying a gun AND carrying a sign saying the tree of liberty needs to be watered? Yes, absolutely: he's a nut job.
Gilmaris 1 year ago
Might I also add that just like carrying a wallet that sticks partially out of the pocket is irresponsible, so is carrying a gun that sticks partially out of its holster, without being secured in any way. A wallet can be pinched without you noticing, and a gun may be drawn by someone behind you before you have time to react.
Gilmaris 1 year ago
If you looked carefully you would clearly see the strap snapped in place over the rear of the slide that secures the gun to the holster. Aside from that, there is an internal lock that holds the gun in place. And I can clearly SEE ALL OF THAT from the video!
You obviously know nothing. You need to educate yourself some more.

"You obviously know nothing. You need to educate yourself some more."
Stop the press, I didn't see the strap! If that doesn't demonstrate a lack of education, I don't know what does. O_o

Hellsredeemer 1 year ago

Hellsredeemer 1 year ago
"The Secret Service left him alone; he was NOT arrested. The police did NOT arrest him because he did NOTHING wrong.
What does all that tell you? "
What has that got to do with anything? I never said he was doing anything ILLEGAL. What I have said from the beginning is that the gun COMBINED WITH THAT SIGN is a threat, but he doesn't want to own up to it. If he had been carrying a sign with a political message and carried that gun, I wouldn't have raised an eyebrow. (cont.)
Gilmaris 1 year ago
(cont.) But that sign did not have any relevance to any political agenda. "It is time to water the tree of liberty"? Is that NOT supposed to be threatening? On a PRESIDENTIAL EVENT? The sign refers to an expression calling for the assassination of political leaders, for pete's sake. And phrased such that he was calling Obama a tyrant in the process. He carried a gun to ram the point home: "this is what I stand for, and I've got the means, sonny".
Gilmaris 1 year ago
Why would someone want to own up to something when that person did NOT break the law or do anything wrong?
No one here has a problem with what this guy did except you. Owning up to something would be as a result of someone feeling remorse or regret for having done something they now felt was wrong or actions that were poorly timed; and Mr. Kostric feels neither!
Hellsredeemer 1 year ago
"Owning up to something would be as a result of someone feeling remorse or regret for having done something they now felt was wrong or actions that were poorly timed"
No, you are confusing "owning up" with "confessing". Owning up to something is the same as standing up for your convictions. It is when you ARE feeling guilty about something that you don't want to own up to it. Eg., I own up to being a royalist, because I have no shame in being a royalist.
Gilmaris 1 year ago
In this case, it is perfectly understandable why he doesn't want to own up directly (although he did do so indirectly in this very video!) to wishing to intimidate, because it IS illegal to make physical threats, and he probably realizes that he'd come off as the nut job he is by admitting to wearing a gun and that sign for the purpose of intimidation. And we have all been in that situation: (cont.)
Gilmaris 1 year ago
(cont.) Doing something which seemed a good idea at the time, which we thought would make us look cool, earn us respect or whatnot, and looking back realizing we were just making asses of ourselves. That is something very hard to own up to, and so we make excuses, just like this guy is making excuses. And very transparent ones, at that. You agree with him because you WANT to agree with him, because you think this is about the excercizing of rights. It isn't, and never was.
Gilmaris 1 year ago
I'm done. God day sir
Hellsredeemer 1 year ago

Hellsredeemer 1 year ago
WOW....your comments are absolutely absurd!!! Your the nut job here! Do you even understand what freedom and liberty are?!?!?! You are just another Obama liberal socialist!!!! Your progessive and radical ideology are part of the reason why America is in such decline.
OathKeeper4Liberty 1 year ago
@OathKeeper4Liberty
Gilmaris 1 year ago
Why is he a nut job? Just because he stood up to the "establishment"
It was a peaceful event. Even the police officer that approached Mr. Kostric at one of these events was NOT alarmed. The officer was very respectful and professional.
Your comments are absurd. You may not have said he was a psycho; but the implication/suggestion was there. Think next time before you write something.
Hellsredeemer 1 year ago
"Why is he a nut job? Just because he stood up to the "establishment" "
I told you why. Kindly refer to what I actually said, and not to what you pretend I said.
And do explain the sign. What was that meant to imply?
Think next time before you write something.
Gilmaris 1 year ago
While other people are afraid to stand up for what they believe in and would rather let others protest and speak while they remain silent, Mr Kostric stood his ground against Chris Mathews.
It is our Second Amendment right to keep and bear arms. The framers wrote that NOT with "hunting" or "target shooting" in mind....but for the protection of the American people from those that would do us harm, be it our government or an ordinary criminal scum out there.
Hellsredeemer 1 year ago
It's not about what his RIGHT is. He didn't wear a gun because it was his RIGHT. No one does anything because it's their RIGHT. Case point: Chris pointed out that it was his RIGHT to carry a pogo stick as well, and yet he wasn't. Why? Because he had no reason to do so. No reason - even though it was his right. From this we see that having a RIGHT to do something does not itself give you a REASON to do it. His REASON to carry a gun was seen in the sign he carried: he wanted to intimidate.
Gilmaris 1 year ago
He never wanted to intimidate. Obviously you feel intimidated. The president, who was NOT even at that location was NOT intimidated. Neither were the police.
As far as Mr. Kostric; he was right in his actions; maybe not the best venue to show it, but he was right. Which is why he was NOT arrested. He was belittled and attacked on television but remained calm and composed. Chris Mathews seemed to have the problem. Look who was doing the shouting? Mathews was.
Hellsredeemer 1 year ago
@Hellsredeemer

Go to one of those other countries and see how you fare, try Haiti, I hear they love the defensless this time of year.
rebel4x 2 years ago
Uhh... didn't a white woman just kill 3 people at a University where she taught, and had no affiliations with a gang?
I also heard about that anti-semite who bought an assualt rifle, legally, walked into a jewish preschool, and shot a bunch of people because he hates Jews.
I also heard about a bunch of other, non gang related shootings that were committed with legal, "rightfully owned" firearms.
Did you know US citizens don't have the "freedom" or "right" to walk down the street naked?

no ther country in the world would allow this sort of insanity seriously this is why
the USA is a shooting gallery, idiots like this with guns
