I have a question about that one verse where it says "Standing in the sun" I looked up the lyrics and it says "Son" instead of "Sun" And ive seen people sign it as Son. But it makes more sense to say Sun. Im confused on which to sign. Pleasee help.

@Dekitaa1 I would think you standing before Jesus and he is the Son of God. He will be telling the Father if you have excepted him and pleading your case.

I was born deaf and back in the 1960's, educators did not want the deaf to sign and not learn sign language, as I attended the school for the deaf, I was not allowed to learn sign language. Please protect the rights of the deaf as such programs are being replaced, along with other foreign languages to accommodate the spanish speaking. Many public schools are requiring spanish over ASL and other languages.

i thought it was very good---i am tryng to learn sign language again---i have cousin's who are deaf and know enough to kinda talk to them---my niece is also deaf--she has the cochlear implants on left and right side. but we rely on signs when her batteries are dead. this was awesome!! several years ago I learned the sign language to this song at a christian sleep away horseback summercamp. It was so long ago though, and today i just felt like trying to remember it. I looked it up found yours and you just helped me a lot. I hadnt forgotten as much as i realized but u did a really good job. you had more signs than we did but we had an hour a day five days to learn it . but u are very clear and its really good!!! i really loved the video!!!

@Love4Sign I take issue with your statement "every way can still be correct." There are, in fact, many ways to sign incorrectly. I am aware that you have a newer post of this song so you must have realized there were mistakes. If me writes English likes this way then I be wrong and all peoples will has no problems say my English be wrong. English is a language and has rules. Likewise, ASL is a language and has rules which should not be simply dismissed.

Well a friend I used to figure skate with, her mom was an interpreter. So everyday after practice we would sit and sign, and she would teach me some new signs. Than last year, my school started to offer it as a class, so I took it! I have now been signing for about three years! :)

Like above commentors, your sign for imagine was beautiful. You really put alot of emotion into that song and as you know that is essential with ASL.

I just wanted to let you know though that most people don't sign "what" like you did. It is generally left out in that context. When I started out, I made the same mistake. "Myself" and "surround" are the same. And also, I've been told by Deaf people that when addressing Him you have to do it up, like same sign but up for "your presence!"
