It seems some people think he died doing this cliff jump. He had NO injuries following this jump, which was 5 years ago. He died yesterday in an avalanche. Granted, avalanche conditions were moderate to high, but he always knew what he was doing.

Jamie is survived by his wife and two children whom he loved more than life itself. He is also survived by his parents, brothers and sisters and all of us who had the honor of calling him a friend.
What was he thinking, what was not thinking about. His wife is a widow, and his kids only have a memory of their father. At 36 years old he should have been thinking of them instead of himself.
Everyone here will think I'm crazy but yesterday afternoon after laying in bed to take a nap (not knowing anything about Jamie's death around that time) I saw a faint impression/ split second vision of a snow covered hill in the door of my room. I feel it was God's way of telling me to go snowboarding sometime in the near future( I don't know how to ski) and that something big happened just on the ski slopes. Jamie was a real inspiration to me. Prayers out his family. RIP

@DDunker51 Ya a lot of extreme sports athletes have spouses and children. Everyone of them knows the risks they are taking when they drop in. I was actually at the resort when it happened, along with hundreds of other people doing the exact same thing. It was a freak accident. The avalanche took him over a cliff and buried him. Have you ever even taken a risk in your life? Even those he's dead now at least people can say he lived. What the fuck have you done? Grow a pair your fucking jerk-off.

Jamie is survived by his wife and two children whom he loved more than life itself. He is also survived by his parents, brothers and sisters and all of us who had the honor of calling him a friend.

Everyone here will think I'm crazy but yesterday afternoon after laying in bed to take a nap (not knowing anything about Jamie's death around that time) I saw a faint impression/ split second vision of a snow covered hill in the door of my room. I feel it was God's way of telling me to go snowboarding sometime in the near future( I don't know how to ski) and that something big happened just on the ski slopes. Jamie was a real inspiration to me. Prayers out his family. RIP
