My vid I did for real against Pancrase Champion Yuki Kondo in MMA! Check out MMA4SelfDefense com or DanTheWolfman com see all my vids and experiences, Kali, Systema, MMA Striking, Submissions, UFC interviews etc
Pro MMA Fighter, did Straight Blast against the Pancrase Champion, bounced 13 yrs, survived a 10 on 1 attack and a 2 on 1 Sticks vs. Empty hand attack, so Yes, I have been in fights, also been a sparring partner/training partner to TONS of top UFC/MMA STARS!
Do you really think it has practical applications against a guy much bigger and stronger than you can you invision that? Do you think the foward pressure would still work or do you think you would look retarded before you got Knocked the Fuck out? Have you ever been in a fight?
Yes it has some merit against an untrained attacker of simlar size who you get on the back pedal. But your better off with techniques that work in a wider range of senarios and opponents!
@3876samf yes i do, this is similar to the wing chun chain punching, actually its pretty much identical and that technique has worked for women against bigger stronger men for centuries.
This is my video. I did it in MMA against Pancrase Champion Yuki Kondo in Japan, Bruce Lee did it whenever he got serious according to Dan Inosanto, JKD people all do it this way as a "Straight Blast" and all Wing Chun/Wing Tsun people around the world use the Chain Punch.
@3876samf mma is generally professional fighter vs. professional fighter. these types of techniques are street situations (against generally untrained opponents).
@dopemelody Anything works against an untrained opponent the techniques the professionals use are reliable battle tested and hard to avoid so they work better!
A boxing sucka punch works better than this crap anyday! One suprise left hook to the chin will KO most ppl! If your smaller you need a good simple eye strike and 100m dash time! etc
Thats a little unfair, not every punch in the UFC is a high quality boxing punch, look at Chuck liddel, anderson Silva & Lyoto. They hav all had success utilzing a variety of punchs. Sometimes its about gettin there first & fast rather than generating max power. Loads of styles & systems can be called 'battle tested', when you look at it, most of the MMA staples are actually about power generation & fitting within the rule set, they arent necessarily the best and only way.
I have used in MMA against Pancrase Champion Yuki Kondo! See my MMA highlight video! Also, I have advanced ways to use this that lead into takedowns and also defend punches!
This is my Video guys, go to ww MMA4SelfDefense com , I've trained 24 yrs and with many of the world's best MMA Fighters and Grapplers, fought in Japan 4 times etc., bounced for 13 yrs, defended myself in 10 on 1 attack and a 2 on 1 Stick attack! a name is just a name, and it can be spelled jujitsu, jiu-jitsu, jujutsu it all comes from the same Japanese kanji-focus on techniques and applications-this is my vid, I teach Combat Jiu-jitsu, MMA, Kudo, No Gi Grappling/BJJ etc.
jujitsu teaches offensive defense, eye guaging, biting, neck strikes, throws, dangerous shit... would you honestly want to cause someone to go blind or thrown them onto concrete and cause serious back or head injuries because you got sucker punched? if you are going to use those sort of offensive defense techniques in a street fight you would want to have very good control and situational awareness so that you know what action is appropriate
@danjack17 Well, im taking jiu jitsu, and I have yet to be taught to eye gouge, bite, or even throw a punch. The throws we do, you dont land on your head, you land on your back, and if you know your being thrown, you land on your feet, absorbing most of the impact. Im being taught submission holds, etc... Now, Krav Maga, teaches the things you talked about... but jiu jitsu is about submission....
now that is what i was looking for thank you im gonna keep practicing that till im a expert at it then i can properly defend my self in dangerous situations thank you very much
the in the wing chun punch that was demonstrated is doubtful that there'd be enough power to be effective against a powerful puncher, simply cos there was no body transfer of weight. see wing chun australia.
Ok, First off, you spelled jiu-jitsu wrong. Second off, this is not any type of jiu-jitsu. There is NO striking in jiu-jitsu it is a ground fighting style using leverage and technique to defeat you opponent. So please dont act like you know what you are talking about.
No, there are two ways to spell it and they mean two different things in Japanese. The pure form of Jiu Jitsu has many techniques to include punches and kicks. Not to be confused with Brazilian Jiu Jitsu that is heavy on the ground fighting. The term Ju Jitsu is used when it is a system developed by someone outside the traditional community that envelopes many different styles or techniques sort of a Jeet Kune Do concept.
First off, Jiujitsu, Jujitsu, etc. are phonetical adaptations from the original japanese characters. Second off, you may be a child that only knows jiujitsu from it's limited use on MMA fights or so. I've learned jiujitsu several years ago -I'm 34 and you 19, if its right you were not born when I learned it-, so you think that's only a "ground fighting style".
JuJitsu/Jujutsu is the correct way of spelling the art. Jiujitsu is the spelling which the Brazilians adopted through misinterpretation of japanese, and so they kept that spelling out of tradition.
Jiujitsu refers to Brazialian JJ. Japanese jujutsu has plenty of striking and is standup and ground.
your a joke.. BJJ is ground fighting.. Jujitsu teaches strikes, weaponry, ground fighting.. it was developed to kill, strikes weren't AS effective on fully armored opponents in battle so they ALSO developed in throws, locks and weaponry (small dagger).. if you go to a good Jiu Jitsu school that upholds true tradition youll train in throws, joint-locks, unbalance/balance advantages, restraint techniques, Kicking and Punching its a complete art.. also he spelt it right too douche
Hey Guys, this is my video, I hope you like all my videos on here. Look up "Dan The Wolfman" and go to w.DanTheWolfman com .Teach at Muay Thai Academy in North Hollywood, Ca. I've trained many martial arts for 23 yrs, MMA w/ many of the world's best fighters/grapplers for 13 yrs, survived 2 on 1 stick attack, and 10-1 fight. Plus 13 yrs of bouncing and fighting two UFC #1 Contenders gives me Real World Understanding. I do Acting and Stuntwork as well, once doubling Sylvester Stallone. Cheers!
And let me just say this... I think that if you learn just two or three very simple techniques like the one shown in this video then that's all you'll need for the rest of your life. Anyone who is smart should pick two or three techniques like this, learn them and then move on with their lives.
If you start reading thins you CANT stop .Once ther was a little girl named Cecilia. She was a little 7 year old who got strangled and raped by a man =.If you dont post this to 15 other videos you will see CCecilia standing at the end of your bed with a knife and she will kill you
You have to do this by midnight or you will be dead
I can confirm that I have used this for real and IT WORKS. I had no idea what I was doing at the time and I'm untrained. But those repeating straight blasts really do work. This is great stuff! I'd definitely like to learn more about this martial art.
It was a street fight. My girlfriend and I had our backs to a car and some thug was threatening us. I drew an imaginary line in the ground and decided that if he crossed the line and stepped into our comfort zone then I'd have to defend myself. He stepped forward and began his assault. I did the technique (above) and knocked Mr Thug to the ground. He didn't know how to react and appeared to be totally stunned. Had I gone for a knockout punch then I think he might have been ready for that.
ToraJutsu01 you must mean jujitsu alone because it was created by Japan BUT when US and English military saw this, they improved it and it is better for modern warfare. THIS WAS THEN CALLED COMBAT JUJITSU! REMEMBER "COMBAT"
Hey guys, I belive I am the first to do this in MMA against Pancrase Champ. Yuki Kondo in a main event fight. Look up my MMA Highlight to see that. Also I did use it on Susumu Yamazaki in the Daidojuku Kudo World Championships. I also did a Boxing style blast on him, and a few weeks earlier did a Boxing Style Blast on Jeremy Horn in the beginning of the 2nd round. That is also on Dan The Wolfman MMA highlight! Check it out, useful stuff!
It definitely does work. It's a way of keeping the pressure forward and constant contact. In Wing Chun, we're taught to do the straight blast if we're not sure what to do. In a real fight, you sometimes don't think straight. Having a simple attack like this can give you the edge. But like anything else, it's not appropriate for every situation.
looks more like JKD or kung fu than anything, jujitsu was designed for samurai warfare on the battle field, they didnt use alot of strikes like this as its kinda hard to punch through full body armour. but as a a combat jujitsu, with jujitsu meaning the way of least resistance, i suppose this is applicable, regardless, it works, so good onya!
yes but what? that doesnt make sense, i didnt say it wasnt "combat jujitsu" designed by the military. jujitsu was for combat and was designed by the military, the warrior class of japan. i wasnt disputing it so where does your "Yes but" fit in?

It definitely does work. It's a way of keeping the pressure forward and constant contact. In Wing Chun, we're taught to do the straight blast if we're not sure what to do. In a real fight, you sometimes don't think straight. Having a simple attack like this can give you the edge. But like anything else, it's not appropriate for every situation.
