  • this stuff is tight..i really enjoy this haha..

  • AWESOME!

  • @JoeyPNB Thank you.

  • great video. kudos!

  • @BeLogicalWillU Thanks!

  • Mark Twain may have come & gone with the comet... but Rush plays Tom Sawyer

  • People say that Wikipedia is not a good place for information. But it depends where they get tehir information from what source.

  • @josefu0 I always look for other sources that either confirm or question what I've found on wiki. Most of the time they're pretty accurate.

  • RIP Mark Twain

May he rest in peace (requescat in pace)

  • Dude, your videos are all neat as hell, why didnt i find them sooner? i feel like ive been missing out.

  • Great production values on this vid. Very watchable and interesting.

  • Great stuf !

  • @arjanvanhoorn Thank you, sir.

  • thanks! i live for this stuff.

  • @dimebagdave77 Good, cause there's more. Thanks for watching.

  • I have to say again, I love this video. It's always good amusement for my nerd-dom.

Though I did see something recently that disproves that Henry VIII had syphilis. Mainly concerning the lack of Europe's favorite cure for it at the time was lacking from his household records.

  • @KatComixProductions Good catch - that's very interesting. I was watching an old 'Office' awhile back, and they mentioned that Ben Franklin had syphilis as well.

  • Love your research.thank you for the time devoted to it and for sharing it with us. subbed and favourited

  • @platsplouts89 Thanks for watching!

  • please search the lost ark of Noah . .

    thanks..

  • When I did my 'Atlantis' episode I touched on it, and I may go back to it sometime - but here's what I've found so far. The Noah flood story is much older than the Bible, and the ancient Mesopotamian story of Gilgamesh is in parts a word for word earlier version. It probably goes much farther back, and comes to us from some events that occured at the end of the last ice age.

  • Fascinating! I had a book on unusual deaths..... it was called "What a way to go". Cheers.

  • Thanks!

  • im loving this!

  • I'm glad, thanks. And if you really like it, please share the link with your friends.

  • wow, this stuff is amazing!

  • Thanks!

  • This was a good mini-documentaty. Very creative

  • Glad you enjoyed it.

  • The one about Nelson was a myth, the brandy was long gone before he was shot and you don't really think that an admiral of the British navy would be packed into a barrel?

  • Probably not, but I guess it depends on who drank the brandy.

  • well done but earth shall be here forever we will be dead.

  • Great episode. Thought-provoking... a bit gory there for a few minutes... but very well scripted and narrated. You do your homework, that's for sure. So, thank you.

  • if you like old movies watch *BIRTH OF CINEMA* in youtube and tell me your opinion

  • Thanks, I will.

  • i love your episodes, please keep them coming, you do an amazing job

  • I found this to be incredibly interesting. I'm a huge history nerd myself, and sadly half way through art school realized I would have loved to me a history teacher D: Oh well.

I nearly fall out of my chair when I saw you mention Edward II. I actually argued with a teacher about that death back in high school.

I'd love you see you have a show with more traffic some day!

P.S. I'd love to hear your opinion on the whole "Flanders Mare" myth. (Anne of Cleve) I personally don't believe it.

    <3 vids

  • Thanks so much. Of course, I'd love to have more traffic someday. I'd never heard of the 'Flanders Mare' myth before, and having looked around a bit I tend to agree with you. I'm sure he never would have gone as far as he did if she was truly ugly.

  • this is great

  • Thanks.

  • Turn me over, I'm done on this side. Lol Great!

  • Thanks.

  • That was great, I really enjoyed it. Thanks

  • Thanks Sandy.

  • Nice video! :)

  • you are the best!

  • "The Book Of Lists?"

  • Unfortunately, I sometimes have to substitute a similar looking picture of an event when I can't find one depicting what I'm talking about. Good catch.

The disease that was brought back from the new world was syphilis. In Europe, they called it 'the pox', but of course it was very different from small pox - which you're right about.

  • Very good! Just wanted to point out some things that were a bit odd. When you were talking about the Pontic ruler Mithradates VI, you used a picture from the siege/destruction of Jerusalem in 70 AD.

Also when you were talking about small pox, Colmumbus did not "bring it back to the Old World" and small pox had existed in Europe long before the Americas were discovered. In contrast, it was in the Americas that it spread like wildfire, as natives had no natural resistence to it like Europeans.

  • mine is john lennon

  • This was awesome .. brilliant post

  • Thanks.

  • the 1st 1 wus creepy!

  • Very interesting!

  • Great show, but I don't think Hendrix died too soon. He was a part of that Woodstock generation - he was a symbol of it. Could you really imagine him going beyond the legacy he created at Woodstock? I think he died young in exchange for immortality. He's still remembered. It is similar to John Keats. He died young but the little we have of them both is special. I would love to meet Janis Joplin but I can't, yet I have her songs and that's enough.

  • I was only 14 when Hendrix died, and at the time it seemed too soon for me. I've heard stories about his plans to colaborate with musicians like Miles Davis - and that could have been something. But that's life. Thanks for the comment.

  • kurt cobain

  • I agree with the comment that you need your own show, my fine friend. This was so well done. You treat your subjects with reverence and humor. So many historical pieces durge along, but you are terrific. I am not kidding. You rock, dude. Oh, did I mention I think you are, ahem, kinda cute? cheers!

  • It really makes my day when I get a comment like yours. I want to jump around like Rudolph and shout "I'm cute, I'm cute" - but then my fake nose would fall off and Santa would kick me out of Youtube.

  • You are highly entertaining, my friend! Ha! I could actually picture that. A man with a sense of humor is very sexy. Too bad all I can do is comment . . .

  • Thanks for posting

  • this is probably one of the best types of clips on youtube nice work with the history!

  • Thanks. I should have something new up soon.

  • Another well put together video, but I'm sure you know this and with the youtube censors now making it look more like YAP site, I'd like to see a more honest and level playing field.

YAP=Yet another Propagandist, not unlike the biggest of all the Wikipedia.

  • We just have to express ourselves and take advantage of youtube as long as we can.

  • I love watching these. Thanks alot for posting.

  • This is so well made. Keep going, there is so much history the world needs to know about.

  • Thanks, and thanks for subscribing. I will be.

  • what are those things people in the ancient times wore around their necks tokarski21?

  • I love the Lost History series. You remind me of Bill the Weird Science Guy or Steve the Croc hunter. You can be the Mark the Internet Historian Dude. You need to get on Nickelodean or the Disney Channel. Best of Luck.

  • The opening is so colorful....

  • Great video. Thanks!!!

  • Glad you liked it.

  • lol, interesting stuff...

  • Interesting and morbid. At some point I may do a part2.
