dodge have had tranny problems if you dont take care of um forsure....just like any truck tho right....ive had the current trans in my truck (which i bought for next to nothin because the trans was junk) for 30,000 miles and it shifts like a dream....but yes i will admit without the proper care they are total junk!!!!!!

@redneckmays ford and dodges are both pretty stought on roll overs how ever in the event of a head on collision fords frame will hold up more than the dodges will and chevy forget them their tops flatten right down and why the hell do they put the frames so low in the event of a side impact a truck can run right over chevy's frames and into you

@redneckmays my parents bought a new dodge in 95 went through 3 trans before 30,000 miles then a motor at 80,000 they traded it for a 99 f250 powerstroke it had 400,000 trouble free miles on it when they traded for a 06 f350 wich has 178,000 trouble free miles on it so that is why i like ford like you said we stick to what we know ford has been tried and true for us my 07 f350 has 122,000 trouble free miles on it my brother has a 04 2500 dodge 81,000 miles and the rear end is going out on it

@redneckmays I agree. My dad was a ford guy and he went through 3 f-150's all were problematic. He bought a 94 dodge 3/4 ton and the only thing he did on it was replace the rotted muffler, the alternator and oil changes. That truck was amazing since then all we've owned is Dodge. My moms Dakota is an 03 we took it from British Columbia Canada all the way down to California, Nevada,Arizona and back and the truck has never had a problem. I'm sticking with Dodge for sure

@threetwentynine I have a 04' F150 and it has been very reliable for the 100,000 miles. Oil changes, brake pads, and the throttle body had to be removed and cleaned. Thats it. I even kept the original michelin tires for almost 92,000 miles and still had thread. I have had customers drive dodge and love them and some hate them.

@kingmike40 Ive driven the newer Dodges like 02-09 rams and I didnt like the way they drove but they were still nice for power and response. I had a 79 Dodge d-250 she was a beast it ran amazing and had just over 750,000kms and I was third owner. I had a few fords aswell and they were all lemons. My dad had a few to and they had nothing but problems. Nothing against Ford but if that happened to a Ford I dont think it would be able to still run

Truck seems ok. You just need to find a salvage yard like A1 chrysler in Tulsa Oklahoma. They have complete bodies in near mint condition if it wasn't covered by insurance. Make it look good as new in no time. They only specialize in chrysler and have a whole lot full of truck bodies and beds. They may even have one that same color.
