  • I wonder what would coffee be like then

  • No day without it

  • FUCK YOU PICARD FUCKS BITCHES UP

  • Why didnt she just go to the replicator herself?

  • @edwardjosephoshea It could be that the Replicator-Access was restricted in that Episode. I think there was once and episode were that happened, but I don't know for sure right now.

  • @jadephyre Its in Starfleet's best interest to let Captain Janeway get her coffee with or without rationing :P

  • @OneofInfinity True, but in this case it wasn't entirely Starfleet's doing ;)

  • what was that episode

  • Is no one wondering why Janeway has to go to Neelix first and ask him for coffee instead of just using her own replicator in her quarters or ready room? Does he have a special kind of borg-pimped replicator in the mess hall?

It's also funny to watch when Neelix is showing up on the brigde or somewhere else with a bottle of coffee which is the exact same coffee you can order at any replicator on the ship. Even on the bridge. Neelix seems to have nothing else to do than being the delivery boy.

  • "I don't deal with people before my first cup o coffee" now that is the attitude, girl!

  • Although coffee is good, there is nothing like.....Tea. Earl Grey. Hot.

  • Janeway must have been a paramedic in a previous life ;-)

  • Why can't she make the coffee herself, she just has to say coffee once to the computer than three times to Neelix...

  • @Monhold replicators were restricted somewhat since they were in the delta quadrant, IIRC while they were allowed certain amount for personal use, something like a daily cup would have to be done through neelix.

  • @AnvilMAn603 But shes's the damn captain! She can do what she wants, even destroying the whole ship, what she surely did several times... who carres about cofee?!?

  • Of all the places you'd expect there to be a Starbucks....

  • Ah, I love Janeway. Pure awesome. :) 'I beat the borg with it.'

  • There's coffee in that nebula!

  • Janeway's so insane! Sisko may have had a thing for Klingon Coffee, but he didn't need to drink it to take on no less than a dozen genetically-engineered super soldiers in hand-to-hand combat.

  • u forgot

    Neelix's ' Better Than Coffee Substitute '

  • @MusikCassette isn´t it the root of leola coffee?? HEHE

  • Someone explain to me why she walked over to Neelix and said "Coffee, Black" so that he'd walk to the replicator to say "Coffee, Black," when she walked right PAST it?

  • @WavemasterAshi he normally has it for her premade, and they have to use the replicator sparingly.

  • @WavemasterAshi Not to mention the fact that she has a replicator in her office.

  • Oh, she's so incredibly hot. Just like her coffee.

  • @XcV290 Coffee is the safest, least addictive stimulant possible, its helps prevent dementia AND it tastes good. Plus it's likely the cheapest, most efficient option; on a ship that has to ration its energy and food reserves, replicating or producing some sort of non-addictive stimulant compound in large quantities would be impossible. Coffee (or tea, if one prefers) makes the most sense. It gets millions of people through work every day, why should the Voyager crew be any different?

  • I was never impressed with "Janeway". She always sounded like a flake.

  • Neelix = :|

  • Janeway must be a descendant of Leroy Jethro Gibbs. Rule Number 23: "Never mess with a Marine's coffee. If you want to live."

  • @UncleMikeNJ Oh, that explains a lot. :D

  • I love the "Oh, two sugars!?" line, as though he's suggesting sacrilege.

  • I would love to have a replicator. Seriously, Kate Mulgrew is hot when she's growling at Neelix.

  • I WANT COFFEE BLACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • They should have made a movie with Janeway. I liked her more than (hawk) Sisko, she had a sense of class that was natural without a brittish accent to somehow sound classy. Great actress.....

  • See, the very reason why I drink up to five cups of Coffee per day: It makes me invincible! :O

  • me: Tea, two sugars, little milk!

  • love it

  • tea is for relaxing

    coffee is for genocide

  • Beat the borg with coffee!? :P

  • Do NOT get between Janeway and coffee! You do not know the powers you are meddling with!

  • flemeth

  • Has Kate ever said if she shares Janeway's addiction? Did she come to love or hate coffee from Voyager?

  • @AtenRa If you look on her website, on one of the Q &A's, she basically says she has the same addiction (:

  • @MunchkinMulgrew except she adds cream in real life. No sugar.

  • Starbucks needs to name black coffee after her. "Yeah I'll have the Captain Janeway" something I have always wanted to say.

  • Theres coffee in that nebula

  • Her face at :28 = coffee orgasm.

  • @ohtheprofanity She does a little shimmy there too... The closest Janeway gets to being wracked with pleasure.

  • Coffee adict!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • "Qaur... This coffee tastes like shit."

    "It is shit, austin."

"Oh good then, it's not just me."

  • COFFEE FIRST! (bring out the whip)

  • Janeway drinks coffee and kicks the borgs' asses on a regular basis. Picard drinks wussy Earl Grey shit and gets PWND by the borg on a regular basis.

  • jeeess Janeway....why dont you and the coffee get a room.

  • rofl @ her face after drinking the coffee

  • What was great about Voyager was how the writers so clearly would rather be writing ANY OTHER KIND OF SHOW instead of a sci-fi series. "Hey, let's add some of that 1970s-cop-show vibe! How about we make the captain a quirky hard-ass with a thing for anachronistic beverages?" "Super! Also, let's use the holodeck more to showcase our failed Twilight Zone scripts!"

  • COFFEE FIRST!

  • FLEMETH CHILL OUT.

  • Coffee first, people second! LMAO!

  • Something consistent about her character? Weird...

  • @kathyjaneway I love that line :D

  • THERE'S COFFEE IN THAT NEBULA!

  • @redemptionsdoom but didn't he "died" in the end ;-) janeway was "only" killed in a book.... just kidding :-D

  • LOL I love her obsession with coffee!!!!!

  • Have you ever noticed that Janeway never seems to have pee, though, with all that coffee? Does she have a kidney implant from the Borg?!

  • 0:28 coffeegasm!

  • @Molo9000 OMG yes! That is exactly what that is! LOL

  • God, love Coffee!

  • So much for prune juice.

  • i started drinking coffee because of janeway

  • @startrekkin1701 lol i started drinking it black

  • how I wish it was so easy, waking up, barking the words "coffe, black" and you start the day right. It shouldn't be that hard to connect a coffee machine to your computer and switch it on over voice activation huh? ;)

  • @SteveOfHate Now THAT would be perfect XD

  • @SteveOfHate You can get pretty good voice-activation tech nowadays so if you programmed one to activate on "coffee, black" and wire it into the switch for black coffee then yeah, it would probably be fairly simple.

  • @SteveOfHate lol i have better solution. usually my wife gets up b4 I do and makes coffe. I dont even hafto ask :) no sexist pig attitude held shes just awesome.

  • @sininetigu lucky guy ;)

  • @SteveOfHate That's actually a great idea. Most people shut their computer down at night, and it usualy takes a while to start up. But if there was some way to leave the mic on...

  • @SteveOfHate Actually, it can be done. Coffee maker, toaster, hell, even the fridge....everything can be networked to a computer.

Matter of fact, I'ma gonna buy me (or build) one of those suckers right now!

  • @AndrewDeLong actually, with a little disclosure it would be possible to exactly build one of those replicators, it's zero point energy and the fact that matter IS energy on highest vibrations. So if you shorten the wavelength / extremely rise the frequenzy, you may create the smalles particle of all, with this it should be possible to create subatomic parts, then atoms, molecules etc. But this may need a high end computer.

Anyway, please let me know how when "sucker" works. I'd love to see ;)

  • @SteveOfHate it is absolutely possible these days...

  • Has anyone ever asked Kate if she shares Janeway's addiction? Did she come to hate coffee when it was over?

  • its funny how captain picard only drank coffee once, in samaritan snare, and never gave his opinion of it... I think he survived the heart surgury because of coffee as a steroid... Though I did try earl gray tea, and it is healthier for my cells because of the anti-oxidant thing...

  • I would have thought there'd be a Starbucks every 100 lightyears.

  • This is the moment when Janeway came closest to shoving Neelix's head inside the Warp Core.

  • @whirlpool28 but tuvok beat her with his death choke grip...

  • tea, Earl Grey, hot.

  • borg>jem'hadar>romulans

    coffee>borg raktajino>jem'hadar tea>romulans

    therefore:

    coffee>raktajino>tea

  • @randomface54 but.. raktajino... IS coffee.

    earth coffee>raktajino*

  • Hi, I'm a starfleet captain and i'm an addict of coffee, raktijinos, earl grey tea, and whatever that shit that crackhead T'Pol gave me in that hypospray crackpipe.

  • Hi, I'm a starfleet captain and i'm an addict of coffee, raktijinos, earl grey tea, and whatever that shit that crackhead T'Pol gave me in that hypospray crackpipe.

  • @amiarage I dont remember the last one, which episode was it (Tpol hyprospray crackpipe

    )

  • @halomasterchief14 Commander T'Pol got addicted to Trellium D during the Xindi Saga. She assembled a small hypospray crackpipe tray device to repeatedly get high over like 5 episodes, and Dr. Phlox had to help her get off the drugs. Humans don't get high off Trellium D, but Vulcans do get high off of it.

  • Hehe, any more coffee, and her blood would probably turn into the stuff!

  • Wonder if any of the coffee manufacturing companies would like Kate Mulgrew for a spokesperson?

  • @msudreaming That. would be epic!

  • POWA OF DA COFFEE

  • The coffee was the real hero of Voyager, not Janeway.

I wouldn't be surprised at all that in the 26th century, Janeway brand coffee is enjoyed by the entire galaxy, particularly in the Delta Quadrant.

  • The Captain LOOOVES, COFFEE!!

  • coffee first always the coffee first

  • she's an addict.

  • janeway loves her coffee

  • 1:00 She only gave him one sugar. "I'm the Captain, damn it! If I say you take cream and sugar, you take cream and sugar!"

Wait a minute, why does she have cream or sugar out on the table at all if she always drinks it black?

  • @RenardeBlanche I loathe coffee but I keep a small jar in my cupboard specifically to offer to visitors.

  • @PippinRally Ah I see your point, but I would think she'd have them off to the side somewhere, especially where the cream should be refrigerated.

A tip for your visitors' sake: though it doesn't exactly "spoil" the flavour of coffee changes over time. Once a package is opened, it helps to refrigerate it, and replace it after a month or two. Otherwise the coffee will taste positively disgusting to most regular coffee drinkers. Just in case you didn’t know. =)

  • i drink both tea and coffe know what can i destroy....Species 8472 (Aka:undine-in the sto universe) yea that will be good for now

  • KJ rules ,She Epic

  • She **REALLY** wants her coffee! =D

  • No doubt. KJ is the best captain ever!

  • I love Kathryn Janeway. She is the number 1 Captain.

  • IF Worf was on Voyager... he would probably say...

"This... THIS IS A WARRIOR'S DRINK"

    *Klingon Laugh*

  • @SirReivax15 Nope on TNG Worf already has his Warriors Drink LOL. He drinks Prune Juice...he LOVES it...even brought it over to DS9 show with him LOL

  • @rtds9fan

    LOL Hahaha

  • hmm, so coffee will even out live oil as a human fuel source

  • hail captain janeway

  • No woman has ever spoken wiser words.

  • lol!

  • wow I think I should start to drink coffee lol love the video but what episodes did u use

  • @Djsimonroc88 hehe. she prolly never gets hyper cause she's the captain. there's a reason why she's addicted to coffee. she drains it out so much she doesn't get hyper, lol. oh Janeway :]

  • It's her face when she drinks the coffee. I'm like that too. None of that frothy crap neither. Proper coffee. Like drinking diesel.

  • Coffee...black...

Janeway kicks so much ass...she gets someone else to REPLICATE her coffee.

  • wow how incredibly boring

  • I've long believed that people who like drinking beverages that can be a bit bitter like coffee or tea are more likely to be given to intellectual or rational pursuits than those who strongly prefer heavily sugarized drinks like soda pop. Yes, I may be over-thinking it a bit, but I still stick to that. I'll share a Star Trek Nerd-ism with you folks here: I decided to buy my first box of Earl Gray tea because of Captain Picard. Live Long, and Prosper!

  • @JoshuaH688 I bought Pepsi Blue back in 2002 because I thought it looked like Romulan Ale. (When they showed Andorian Ale on ST:Ent, it made me want Pepsi Blue all over again)

  • @rkmugen There's still Mountain Dew Code Blue which could make a fair faux Romulan Ale, if you like Mountain Dew. :-)

  • @JoshuaH688 Aye, I do like Mountain Dew... but there is no such thing as a labeled "Mountain Dew Code Blue".... there is, however, Mountain Dew: Voltage, and there has also been Mountain Dew: Revolution (from the 1st Dewmocracy) and Mountain Dew: Game Fuel (Alliance; World of Warcraft-themed)... all of which have had differing shades of blue (compared to each other).

  • @rkmugen Sorry for the mis-statement. I do remember that I purchased a bottle of blue Mountain Dew recently. It must have been Voltage. Well, anyway... Live Long, and Prosper!

  • she's very like coffee

  • more like Homer Simpson than a Starfleet Captain lol "Can't fight Borg, drinking coffee"

  • Coffee... finest organic suspension ever devised? Ha! She may have been able to use its power to bring down the Borg, but tea got Picard to not only beat the Romulans, resist the Cardassians and withstand Lwaxanna Troi's onslaught, but allowed him to also defeat the Borg Queen in hand-to-hand combat and save Earth's First Contact! The Federation owes its very existence to Picard and his tea!

    Coffee... pah! :D

  • @TheTigerwolf55

May you tell me please what season and episode is

    Thanks so much

  • @kxjack To resist the Cardassians, it'll be in Season 6 Chain of Command. To beat the Romulans, it's sprinkled throughout the series, but the ones that stand out include Season 5's Redemption and Unification along with the Nemesis movie. Beating the Borg, Season 3's Best of Both Worlds and the movie First Contact, where he also went head-to-head with the Queen. And the hardest, resisting Mrs. Troi, Season 2's Manhunt, and somewhat in season 3's Menage a Troi.

  • @TheTigerwolf55

    Thanks so much for explanation

Infortunatly i'm italian so episodes names are translated very badly.

I found the first scene when Kate asked coffe to Neelix is SE05 episode 12 "bride of chaotica" , but i can't find the scene whit Chakotay , she said in dialogue three years so i assumed was on SE03 but didn't find it.

Sorry i quite a maniac of those stuff you can't imagine how many times i watched the episodes , also is quite help me to learn some better english.

  • Why does she have to order it from Neelix, surely she can ask the replicator herself.

  • @cjgrayside

In this episode replicators was not working because of mayor energiy problems so the only one working was Neelix.

  • @kxjack

For who is intrerest i found both episodes

First scene is from SE5 episode 12

Second scene is SE4 episode 15

    I know i'm maniac :)

  • @charmlighter Do you mean the opening clip? It's from Bride of Arachnia

  • @charmlighter That must have been one of the first couple episodes in season 1

  • CCooffeeee....coffee, coffee, coffee, coffee.......Mochachino....

  • When Neelix gives her the mug of coffee her face is a picture. I have a deep seated need for coffee in zer morning.

  • coffee has the POWER

  • 0:30 Best face!

  • Tea defeats Romulans...Coffee defeats the Borg!!!!

Coffee is the drink of true warriors!!!!

  • Root beer pwns the Ferengi and the Cardassians.

    Prune juice pwns the KLingons.

  • Comment removed

  • @greenknight5700 Yep, you hear about raktajino, you never hear about Klingon TEA!

I remember a scene from season 1 of Voyager: They're stranded on the other side of the galaxy, and Janeway asks: "Do we have any coffee left?"

  • @ProtoKun7 There's a Klingon tea ritual--I remember that stupid Dr Pulaski went through it with Worf once. Since that was when the Klingons were still transitioning from Soviets in Space to a 100% warrior society, they were filling Klingon society with a bunch of nonsensical "Look how badass these guys are!" tidbits. So the tea was, of course, poisonous.

  • Yes, I remember, because she covered for Worf having Klingon measles. It was in "Up The Long Ladder", if I recall correctly. And Dr. Pulaski wasn't that bad.

  • She was annoying as hell. She acted like everyone loved and respected her when the whole crew just rolled their eyes at her presumption.

  • @greenknight5700 Probably why Sisko did so well against the Dominion.......He drinks Klingon Coffee. :P

  • @greenknight5700 That is so true Defeat brog drink coffee. Coffee is good

  • @greenknight5700 Raktajino defeats the Jem'Hadar

  • Decaf isn't an abomination, it's a crime against mankind.

The "Coffee first" is usually my line when I get to work :P Some know it already, so they leave me alone until the coffee has been consumed.

Coffee, the liquid gold on which societies are built!

  • well it is a best part of waking up...(and kicking some borg ass)

  • lol coffee defeated the borg

  • I think this clip clearly demonstrates that while Janeway refused advances from any member of the crew the entire way home, she made up for it with coffee.

That face when she drinks it just oozes the line "Better than sex..."

  • @AtenRa Agreed. Love Janeway....and her coffee addiction.

  • there's Coffe in that nebula!

  • It occurs to me that she never has it black as she adds "cream" to her coffee as indicated @ 0:28

  • on janeway's memory alpha page (star trek wiki) theres an entire section devoted to coffee...and i didnt see it in the comments so i looked it up this episode was "bride of chaotica" if im not mistaken

  • 0:28 She mentally gets off blowing her load :D

I wonder if Janeway can convince Torres to modify Voyager's warp core to take in coffee and anti-coffee.

  • bwahahahaha!

  • As a lifelong coffee drinker myself, I SO get this.

    "Coffee FIRST."

    Hell yes. xD

  • @n0wheregrrl I agree...also,decaf is a abonimation

  • Decaf is the work of Satan. I always describe decaf as like having sex without coming. I'm a cultured guy I am.

  • @Alembic25 LOL

decaf is the work of christians. i have no doubt satan gets up and has three espressos.

  • Decaf is a abomination

  • @craffte i`m christian and i HATE decaffe !

  • LOL you've got THE POWER!!!!!!! no offense meant.. (and if you're taking offense anyway, fuck off.)
