  • Sounds like a Mexican Burger - you got the nachos the cheese the chili :L Haha

  • Do any of these burger places do anything unconventional like fish experimental fish burgers or anything?

  • @jemmaledger both MOS burger and McDs have "ebi" (shrimp) burgers here in Japan, and they have the normal "fish filet" type sandwich. I'm sure in some locally owned places you can get wacky fish type burgers, but I don't eat fish so I've never tried any.

  • It is weird Japan has these "America burgers" and you can't even get those in America.

  • Now I'm Hungry for that Burger!

  • fucking huge mcdonalds

  • @floridian32141 well, you get used to the "huge amounts" pretty quickly. They basically don't use a decimal point like we do in America, so you can think of it as 720 pennies, or $7.20, but with the current exchange rate, 720 yen is close to $9 USD

  • I LIVED IN MIAMI AND I WANT THAT BURGER!!

  • MIAMI BURGER DOESN'T LOOK VERY TASTY I PREFER TO HAVE A TX THICKER BURGER..

  • I lived in Miami for six months. Not sure how a taco burger is...Miami-ish. Lol. I agree with Cornelioushuxtable below. I think more beach like. ♫ Thanks for the post. (^_^)

  • @auryngirl thanks ;) i'm glad to be here!

  • interesting, when I think of Miami I think of tropical fruit like mango, guava, fried plantains, black beans, citrus, spicy hot sauce, and maybe some fried chiccharon pork skin :-q

  • im gunna try this i live in yokosuka japan

  • I'm with psyjax, nothing Miami or Latin about that burger. A "frita" would be closer to a local burger. I know they serve them with string fries under the bun, maybe some mojo sauce over the tomato and lettuce. Yuca fries on the side, and a cold beer (getting hungry).

  • Why would companys name their food after the flavors they fail to use in it?

  • What about MOS burger the best in Japan IMO.

You should cover that I dont dont think lot of westerners know about MOS burger.

  • Jonathon lets get hi.. THIS PATTY IS HUGE (LOL)

  • I live in Orlando, FL and from my opinion that does not have anything related to Miami in it. What was on the Idaho burger? I guess I will look that up. Good quick vlog. =)

    -Billy-

  • I am from Miami, and the only thing that would make that a true Miami burger is if it had a fried plantain on it. That would make it sweet and savory at the same time, which would be amazing. Tortilla chips are more of a Mexican snack if anything.

Also, Jason, I have my interview tomorrow! Woot!

  • How about a 'Miami Vice' burger?? Hmmm?

  • Sounds more like a Mexican or Southwestern burger

  • looks good kinda weird that its not very miami at all.

  • Shannon (sp?) looks more like an officer's cadet at West Point than an ALT.

    Hahaha, ごめんね! ; P

  • Yeeeah not sure how "Miami" that is, but hey if it tastes good, that's most important thing right? I'd love to try that :)

  • Maybe they should have gone with something closer to fried plantains and thin slices of chorizo on Cuban bread for the Miami burger.

Oh, looks like a Cuban hamburger already exists. It's called a Frita. I'll have to try one next time I'm there.

  • That is more like what a Texas burger should be. The Miami should maybe have pineapple and black beans.

  • I love Shannon! I wanna taste her! Where is she from in the states?

  • I went to a Mickie-D's for the first time in about a year on Saturday. It's still really good, but not something I would want to eat more than once a month at most...Too bad we don't get them fancy burgers where I live.

  • Thats funny because its really a Mexican burger, lol.

  • Jason, did you try to Idaho burger?

  • @hojoojoh nope - I missed it

  • Because of global selling point of the hamburger is "the American culture", I would say for McDonald Jaman has starting point recurrence.May be laugh at all if put this on sale in America.

  • @gtoyas おっと、またミススペリングしてしまったX< McDonald Jaman → McDonald Japan

  • Haha that's the McMexican burger. LOL nothing like Miami. I should know, I live here! XD But I give the Japanese kudos for naming it after my city. :D

  • This is definitely not Miami based lol! Though I'm sure it's delicious :( Wish I could try it!

  • I must say it does look really nice yummy :) x

  • I've been a bit hesitant to try the Miami Burger, but after seeing this Jason I'll definitely give it a try. Nice job on the review with hired JET talent!

  • I had one last week! It was rather tasty! I did not at all like the Idaho burger! It was no good! It was salsa on the bottom. I thought the same thing as Shannon. I have no idea how Miami it was! We thought maybe it was more Arizona or California with the more mexican culture! ^_^

  • @mostawesomestjes hey it's mostawesomejes!! awesome!

  • I haven't had McDonalds in years.

I think if I was in Japan I might eat one again. I hear they're WAY better in Japan than in the US. Not sure if that's true.

    Thanks for sharing.

  • I would not eat that!

  • ai papee!

  • @martinyearly

    haha

  • Hmmm..... interesting; a "taco burger." I'd like to try it.

  • I'm from Miami. Nothing Miami about that burger :)

  • Looks good! Not getting the Miami connection!

  • awesome video!!! favorited!!! what attractive guests you had... ;-P

  • @hoosierhana haha - they were well compensated for this appearance, let me assure you... :)

  • Only slightly less saturated in fat than a regular BigMac

  • Chili isn't mexican

  • I LOVE every type of culinary mishmash that people (corporations) come up with.

The more "wrong", the better they taste! Stop being so CC (culturally correct) all the friggin' time I say! On the related topic, I believe if someone had the balls to mass-produce fresh Natto (納豆) Burgers in Japan, they are going to be rich and famous!

BTW, I only go to Five Guys to get a burger nowadays...

  • HHHAHAHAAAH: "This patty is HUGE"

  • McDonald's? Tasty? That's a contradiction in terms.

Unless every single McDonald's "restaurant" in Germany that I've been to sells you "tasty" cardboard buns and grilled grease instead of the real deal.

  • @42317 the Idaho and Miami are certainly a departure from their normal, less appetizing fare, and I would eat the Miami again - it was indeed tasty

  • @42317 Japanese mcdonalds definitely take more care with their food, its seen more as a fast food restaurant, defo less greasy from my experience, however if you go to mcdonalds here in the UK its seen as very low class and the most unhealthy food you could eat

  • @LozRyu

Are you implying that, apart from maybe 3rd world countries, there are places that do NOT consider McDonald's in particular and fastfood in general "the most unhealthy food you could eat"?

  • @42317 I'm just going by what i know, i think uk and japanese mcdonalds are on 2 different ends of the spectrum in terms of how they are viewed, other countries might consider something worse, but im just saying, in the UK mcdonalds is terrible in terms of health and even taste, japan seem to promote a better image for it and it does seem slightly better.

  • It's a "flog"... Get flogging, lol.

  • Mc Donald's food good? Wow, maybe it is better in Japam

  • Hey how do you get into that Jet program, if you're not american and dont speak Japanese?

  • @JustaEropeanGuy look up the Japanese consulate homepage for your country and see if they have ways of getting into JET

  • @JustaEropeanGuy what is the JET program?

  • @uzamaki205 jetprogramme(DOT)org go there

  • Hmmmmm Nacho in burgers....? Im a doubter.

  • That thing is incredibly yummy. Nachos and beef chile on a cheapo burger. Kind of sad I didn't have a good video camera with me when I ate mine a few hours ago. Nothing like that in the States.

  • I'm so jealous. McDonald's isn't like a great option, but when you have to eat there it's nice to have a variety of nice tasting burgers. I live in the US and think we have the least variety for McDonald's. Every time I go to Canada, I always try to get something at McDonald's because they have new stuff. They had subs one time, muffins, and better buns and meat, and cool snack wraps. My favorite thing I've gotten at a Canadian McDonalds was a Mediterranean Chicken sandwich with feta cheese :)

  • ooo Osaka,Tokyo, and Fukuoka.. man they got Kauanas burgers!!

  • it was in beppu in November.

  • I agree this isn't a Miami Burger is a California or Texas Burger, way more Mexicans live in California and Texas.

  • Looks tasty! Now I'm kinda wanting a burger for lunch. xD

  • @StarDr0ps

it taste like a glorified taco

  • Definitely NOT Miami. I'm of Cuban decent and live in Miami and that burger is a Mexican burger. Cuban food doesn't do tortilla chips and salsa.

  • @perdomot Curious. What would a real Miami burger have? All I've heard up until now are jokes about cocaine.

  • @ElevenColors I am from Miami, and the only thing that would make that a true Miami burger is if it had a fried plantain on it. That would make it sweet and savory at the same time, which would be amazing. Tortilla chips are more of a Mexican snack if anything.

  • lucky guys in japan.. canada gets shafted...

  • Sounds like it tastes like a frito pie?

  • I could be down for a taco burger. Maybe next week...

  • more vids that make me hungry plz

  • aww i want a burger now and its like 8am

  • STOP THE MADNESS!

  • @AntoneX6 LET THE MADNESS CONTINUE! lol :D

  • The Miami Burger is phenomenal.

  • Is that Matsue Saty? Seems like I've been there...

  • @reynoldsair nope - even more inaka than Matsue - at a foodcourt in a YouMe town

  • @myargonauts ahh, the Izumo YoumeTown?? Dude, we stayed for a few days during obon last year at my wife's cousin's house just a minute walk from it. We went shopping there a few times.

  • OMG we saw the ad at the eki earlier today. in the end, my friends and I went to a local shop instead. :) I didn't like this year's Texas burger. :|

  • @nerdlass yeah - everyone I've talked to that has eaten both versions of the TX burger says that version #1 was way better than version #2
