If it was that easy they would be doing it. Well I think that user generated content is a symptom of a decline in culture and economy.

Talent, of whatever form, exists and longs to be fully utilised, normally all natural (i.e. untrained and honed) talent would be indoors making sense of the great mediums or outdoors making sense of the opportunities presented there in, but when professional talent can no longer thrive, (i.e. as a result of a failing economy) then natural talent will fill the gap.

At no point in that clip did he say that people shouldn't have the platform to air their views. All he said in the video, is that technology has given us this platform to express ourselves and some people are exploiting this opportunity and are gradually becoming more narcissistic and think that making a short video on youtube would qualify them as a film director, or putting something up on their blog would make them a writer.
