  • Y U NO BUILD ORTHANC!!!

  • the dwarwes arnt what i expeced them to look like...

i expected the dwarves to be shorter and thorin is utterly different

    oh well..

  • @Pierrejoan1 No Gimli but his father Gloin is one of the Dwarves in The Hobbit

  • can't wait!

  • I love this film I look forward to it so I wonder there is no Gimli?

  • @Pierrejoan1 : No Gimli. He was alive at the time ... in his 60's ... but was not in any way involved in the story told in "The Hobbit." And at that point he lived in mountains to the west of the Shire, while Bilbo's adventure took him eastward ... so they never even came close to crossing paths.

  • this is the 1st scenes they shoot

  • My favorite music of LOTR (: :DD

  • I always wondered why they didn't show much of the dwarves in LOTR . Now I see why - they were all in the Hobbit

  • @SolidGold1980 im assuming you never read the books...

  • The scene in clip 1:26-1:34 where the fat dwarf is playing make believe guitar and pounding his fat stomach must be Bombour, fattest of the dwarve of Thorin & Company.

  • Ian McKellan appearing as Gandalph in this one?

  • @67nairb yes he is

  • @fuschiabamonte thought so.

  • Soo excited!!!!!...and they wear those beards like bosses. :D

  • When I grow up I want a beard like those.

  • OMG YES!

  • lawl at the end

  • @WingedSoulies One, by Metallica I believe.

  • Jees.. making a movie looks so complicated!!.. glad PJ is back at the helm to pull it all together!!

  • Wait a minute. Is Radagast the Brown really going to be in the movie? And the necromancer?.I'm pleasantly surprised.

  • 1:10 I guess Gloin is the 4:th from the left?

  • @mattsson20 Well he is Gimli's father so theres a big resemblence between the two.

  • for dwarves i sure dont see a lot of axe use....

  • @honorablegod They use swords and knives in the book as well. Besides, they're mostly sitting around eating.

  • Bombur looks like Obelix lol

  • 1:26 Bombur after drinking coffee

  • @yo09ify apperently in the trailer there is gonna be a scene where Bombur is sitting on a chair and he is about to eat a pickle i think then the chair breaks under him and he crashes to the ground

  • I really wish i was a hobbit

  • LOL. At 0:56 the drawf looks like Vitalstatistix the leader of the gaulish village in asterix.

  • OMG! WoW Clone

  • @driojas -.-

  • @driojas LOLOLOL!!!!

  • @driojas um

  • @driojas Do you know that WOW was inspired by THE LORD OF THE FUCKING RINGS dont you? FUCKING IDIOT!

  • whoops that should be *specieast* silly me can't even spell imaginary words correctly!

  • Call me spicieast but all hobbits look the same to me...

  • I' am not one to pick at straws but I do not recall Frodo, Legolas, or Saruman in the Hobbit. I refer to the book not the animated version which left quite a bit to be desired though I do like it as I watched when I was a kid.

  • @Pandaro2 I believe the only part Frodo will be in is in the beginning where Old Bilbo talks to him. I'm hesitant about the Legolas arc though but I know the movie will be great

  • Metal-middle-head-earth-dwarf FTW. \m/

  • Where's Smogg ?

  • wait till the movies comes out damn it and if it is bad rip on it then remember what they said about LOTR? and guess what greatest thing to ever happen to cinema :DD

  • uhh..does anyone notice that Thorin - Richard Armitage ,dosent have the wright proportions for a dwarf? I mean really, He looks more like a buff hobbit....

  • I hate this movie already!

We all know that Jackson doesn`t like the dwarves - So he morphed them into small elves rangers and monks...

    Bullshit!

  • theryre taking alot of liberties with this flick. Galadriel wasnt even in the book and shes in both movies. and does the story even justify 2 parts? i know its just for marketing and money but when directors do this to good books it disappoints me. this really was a childrens novel though not really a good book.

  • Starts singing 'Chip the glasses crack the plates that's what Bilbo Baggins hates'

  • Even dwarves know that old school Metallica owns!! lol

  • 0.56 = David Crosby ( Crosby, Stills and Nash)

  • This looks most like the bastard offspring between LotR and the Asterix films to me... Not that that in any way is a bad thing!

  • Wow...

  • omg omg omg !!!!!!!!!!!!! lotr is the bossest movie this is probs the best cant w8 sad how orlando and all that arnt in it i think

  • @yourmumdafun legolas plays in the the hobbit movie , he is prince of mirkwood and his father is thranduil king of mirkwood

  • @ElyathProductions i believe he isnt in it until the second hobbit movie which is due for release 2013 while the first hobbit movie is december 2012!

  • @ElyathProductions the what about gimli? he is the son of gloin

  • @ElyathProductions

Though he is not in the books which annoys me that they have found a place for him in the movie

  • @ElyathProductions thanks for the info !

  • @ElyathProductions Gandalf, Legolas, Elrond, Saruman, Galadriel, Frodo, Sauron, all feature in the film.

  • @ElyathProductions you're right... but one thing to the ignorant people that just watch the movies and not read the book read the books they're way better...

  • @ElyathProductions Is viggo mortenson in it? I love him

  • @temptstress666 : Apparently no Viggo. Aragorn was only 10 years old at the time of "The Hobbit" and living in Rivendell with his widowed mother; Elrond was basically his foster-father. So I wouldn't be shocked if there's a dark-haired human kid that shows up in a minor way in the Rivendell scenes ... but no Viggo. (There was, at one point, thought given to including material between "Hobbit" and LOTR that might have included an older Aragorn, but I think that was canned.)

  • @drdaveoldguy Oh geeze of course. I know he was not in the book The Hobbit but yeah your right, He was very young at that time. Dang cause I kind of think viggo rules.

  • @drdaveoldguy Are you sure re: Aragorn's age? I thought he would have been in his 20's at this point. Doesn't matter either way.

  • @scotsmanmemag : Yeah, it's pretty clear from the chronology in the Appendix to LOTR:RotK. Aragorn was born T.A.2931, Bilbo's adventures w/ the dwarves T.A.2941, Bilbo's 111th b'day at the start of the LOTR T.A.3001, and Frodo's quest to destroy the ring T.A.3018. There were 77 years between "Hobbit" and Aragorn's appearance in LOTR, when he was 87. (A lot of people forget the 17 years between the start of LOTR and Frodo's adventure ... it's totally glossed over in the films.)

  • @drdaveoldguy yes, but it's glossed over because he didn't want people who didn't knew it to "forget" about the dangerous and threats that mordor possessed all the time :P

  • @blodstainer: Didn't quite follow you on that. I mostly think it is glossed over because, from Frodo's perspective, nothing much happens during those 17 years. (Even Tolkien covers most of that time is all of one paragraph in FotR.) That plus PJ undoubtedly didn't want to try and deal with what would have been some visible aging in the appearance of the hobbits ... especially Pippin.

  • @yourmumdafun yes he is foo

  • @yourmumdafun I am happy about it!

  • Its gonna be legendary

  • I can't wait until that movie comes out!

  • really2 love this....

  • This is LARP?

  • Why is the dwarf smoking! Hobbits invented that.

  • can't wait...

  • 1:11 does not bode well thats not the hobbit i imagined

  • @killgore333333 The actual hobbit, Bilbo, isn't in that picture. The guy up in the front is Thorin, leader of the dwarf party.

  • @Spartiphobia i know thats not the thorin i imagined this one looks like a really short elf

  • @beauferret I think you are right, Bombur should be the fat one. I mean if he is the fatest than he is definetelly Bombur. :D

  • Branca de neve e os mil anões

  • I'm reading chapter 1 at the moment with the tea party and this footage totally fits the scene and imagery in the book, i can't wait for this movie!

  • why have they not mentioned martin freeman or benedict cumberbatch in any interviews?!?!? They're Bilbo and Smaug!

  • Comment removed

  • WUHUU, GANDALF :D

  • why do dwarves have to be fat? they look unnecessarily fat.

  • @dayoftheVictor these dwarfs are not stocky enough my friend.

  • @DmMaster69 they're not well then they shouldn't be stockier than this, otherwise people'll think they're short, bearded Americans. they're plenty stocky in the video.

  • @dayoftheVictor Thats a question just like: Why do Elves have pointing ears?

Cuz it makes them what they are.

  • Fuck YEAH!!
