  • Thank you very much! 4 camera angle is best for me.

  • still want comments? angle 4 and 5 suits me! Regards, Eljas

  • 45

  • I like 5. I can see most of the fretboard and see how you're picking with your right hand. With the closer angles, it wasn't immediately apparent as to what 4 fret box you were in (you didn't say, either). At least with angle 5, I can see where you are on the neck.

  • I agree with 4 being the best, with 6 a distant second.

  • camera angle 3 and above are best in my oppinon 4 being the best. on page tabs tho would be cherry on the cake.

  • Angle 4 my preference

  • 2, 4, & 5. And 5 as the very best.

  • I liked 1&2. 1&2 give me the same view as when I try to do it. What I like best is that you are brave enough to think outside the box on this issue.

  • To me 2 was the clearest for each fret.

  • angle 4 zoomed out a bit would be my preference... a combination of 4 and 6 I guess.

  • Robert, I'll also vote for 4 and 5. A million thanks for your great videos.

  • 4 and 6 big guy, and keep them coming bro :)

  • 4 & 6.

Not 5, because you can't see the frets as clearly as 6.

  • 5&6

  • camera angle look the clearest to me great teaching thanks

  • 4 AND 6

  • 4 & 6 for me, thank you

  • 4&5

  • Best guitar teacher on YouTube.

  • Angle 4. Nice job

  • Angle 4 - Thanks Robert

  • 4 !

  • I suggest angel 6 as it is face on and shows both right and left hands clearly. However, angle 4 is great for a close up of the left hand.

  • Hi Robert - angle 4, will

  • definitly 4 and 6 (but 5 is also ok xD)

  • Why not try a POV vid? They made POV porn, why not make POV guitar lessons?

  • 4&6 xD

  • 4&6

  • 4 is a Definitely

    2 & 4 for showing finger positions.

5 & 6 for showing both lucking & finger position. Thought helps better with the plucking.

  • Angel 4+2 .

    Thanks Rob.

  • 1+4

  • 6 gives a good view of both picking and fretting. Perhaps I like it best 'cause I'm used to viewing lessons shot from that angle, though.

  • angle five is not clear enough... the rest are ok

  • Angle 4 was the most visual for me

  • I can't vote for one camera angel being better, for me they all work, and are all very good. Sorry but I really don't have an opinion here.

  • great tone you got there....

  • 4 and 6 for sure first 3 are not great

  • The number 4 is best for me.

  • Angle 4 for fret fingering and both 5 or 6 for right hand, picking one!

Thanks Rob, you're a great teacher!

  • I think 4 and 5. Angle 4 is the best for the fretting hand. And angle 5 really helps you see the picking hand. Exactly what kdc300z said. I'd just like to emphasize that comment. Hah.

  • angles 4 and 6 are the best

  • 5 for me, the issue for me with 6 is that it can be hard to see which fingers are touching the strings due to the way there is no angle to judge depth! If you create an angle, then it becomes more clear, how far away your fingers are from the strings.

5 is clear, shows both hands & has enough angle to make it interesting to look at :)

I like the idea of 1 too, the problem with that is, i didn't notice the E string until you mentioned playing a note on the B! which i thought was the E string

  • Continuation..

If i were to improve 5 at all, i'd probably move the camera slightly higher so it was slightly above the fingerboard maybe? Or failing that, even just a little more level with the highest point of the fingerboard, somewhere around the 3rd fret say? I don't know for sure! I always get too annoyed messing around trying to set my camera up haha!

  • 6 for sure

  • 1, 4 and 6 are all good, with my fave being 4

  • 4 is great and either 5 or 6

  • great idea ! 4 and 6 seems best ;) i watch your vids alot !

  • 4 and 6 for picking, The most important thing is to name the string AND fret number. Then the camera angle is secondary. Its possible to block one finger with another no matter what the angle is.

  • 4 and 6

  • Angle 4 :)

  • 4 and 6.

  • 4 and 5

  • INNOCENTIA RULES YOUR MOM

  • 4 and 6 look the best for me.

  • I liked 5 and 6. Gave me much more sense on where you were playing on the neck.

  • 4 for fingering & 5 for picking !!

  • 1 and 4 are the best. Thanks for taking the time to post your lessons and thinking of your students. Cheers, Daniel.

  • Do angle 4 when describing how to finger it and angle 5 when picking.

  • Angle 4 is nice, but 6 is good with the right hand visible as well.

  • Angle 4 or 6 if you ask me..

  • Definatly angle 4 for frethand. Angle 5 for both hands. Cheers.

  • angle 2 is easiest to see

  • angle 4 for fret hand, and angle 5 for the other. A combo of those would be most beneficial to me.

  • One of the best angles I've ever seen is when the camera is over the top of the neck looking directly down with the guitar neck tilted up as if you were the guitarist playing the lick yourself. A student needs to see each finger clearly on each string without any other fingers obscuring one another. As far as this video is concerned, no.2 is quite clear and no.6 would be good if the camera zoomed in a little more. When you get a shot where no finger obscures another then I think you have it.

  • angle #5

  • Thumbs up for "angle 4"

  • angle 5

  • angle 4

  • I would prefer Angle 1 if it was turned anti-clockwise by 90°. Other than that angle 5.

  • For me it's between 2 and 5. If I had to choose I would go with 5.

But If you can show 5 as the main video and 2 as a smaller video in the lower left corner I think that would be the best of both worlds.

  • 4 is the best for showing left hand, 6 for both hands

  • 4 is best for showing the fret fingering, 5 best for overall view.

  • angle 5 is the best

  • i think angle 3 is good for showcasing fingering and angle 5 is good for showing what the right hand is doing. You can try using both to illustrate licks in the upcoming lessons. Hope my input is useful.

  • 4 is Excellent.

  • 5 and the note names spoken.

  • 3 and 5 are pretty bad. The others are ok, I think 4 is my favourite.

  • 4 for the close-up view when you teach what notes to play, but I'd also like to see more of the guitar's neck. 5 and 6 for an overall view, and 5 for showing how to pick the individual strings(and use of hammer-ons and pull-offs)

  • Angle 4 and 6 are the best for sure!

  • 2, 4 and 6 for me. 2 and 4 for a perfect view of the fretting hand, strings, frets etc and 6 for a good overall view of the fretting and picking hand.

  • 4 and 6

  • Angle 4 and Angel 6 :)

  • Definately angle 4 my friend.

  • Angle 4.

  • angle 4

  • Angle one makes it easier to see where you are actually putting your fingers...same goes for 2, 3, and 4. Angle 5 lets you see what fret you are on in that you see the 12th fret, but angle 5 makes it hard to see exactly where you are putting your fingers because your fingers are sometimes blocking it.

  • Angle 3 for fingering and angle 5 for picking technic

  • angle 5, and 6 !!!

  • 2 and 4

  • I like angle 1 and 4 and 5......love your videos man, i am mainly into bass but got an AMERICAN STANDARD STRAT and really want to get decent at it, again thanks for your GREAT licks as it inspires me to learn something on it, i mainly love blues.

  • I like a combination of 1 and 5.

1 is a similar angle to me looking at my guitar when working on form for a tricky lick, while 5 allows me to see your strumming hand to see your rhythm, or flow of your attack.

  • 6 is the tits, as well as the first one. the first one would be better if it was from the opposite side of the guitar though (over the shoulder)

  • i liked 3 and 4

  • angle 4 seems to be the same angle I would be looking at if I was trying to learn a lick in a live person to person situation.
