are you sure this was out? I was always of the belief that "hit wicket" could only be given out when batsman was either attempting to hit the ball or take off for a run, clearly he is doing neither here.

Thats a hit wicket. The batsman`s left boot hits the middle wicket. This happens just as he goes forward to leave the ball. Pause the vdo on 4 seconds, you will see the middle wicket moving back

I don't have good enough resolution to see the bails here but he defo did not tread on the stumps (that would be up to the striker's end umpire to decide). Anyway sorry but this is definatey a fake, there was no appeal so nothing for the umpire to decide on - and watch the striker as he walks away, he's not at all surprised, nor are the fielders - trust me here, I'm an umpire and sometimes even when I give correct decisions, the side disadvantaged by it act very surprised.

The umpire actually has perfect eyesight...he saw the bails being dislodged after the batsman completed his follow through and stepped back. It's not easy to pick up since the video is not clear - watch again, carefully.

He's batting just outside his crease and if you follow his feet,he doesn't go anywhere near his stumps.

If he had trod on them,don't you think he would've looked back at them? Also,the only fielder appealing would've pointed towards the stumps but he doesn't even look towards them.

Why would the Umpire have to raise his finger? The Umpire can't give it "Not Out " when somebody treads on their stumps. LOL
