My experience of alprazolam is that it is probably the best anxiolitic available but along with lorazepam in particular and all benzodiazapenes in general it has plenty of potential for addiction and abuse.
the acid in the drink breaks down the drug somehow and eventualy makes it easier to get into the blood stream...to much xanax means more severe side affects
W000t for alprazolom:) XR = extended release and grapefruit cancels out the effects and can lead to other problems aswell just dont drink alot of grapefruit juice with xanax bars...
i was perscribed this for social phobia anxiety, n other related issues... including insomnia... an i know this has a reputation of being a seditive type drug? but honestly it almost does the opposite for me, it makes me more active/social. but doesnt help me with sleep..... should i ask my doctor for like ambien or something??? or what i dont know cause i feel like i haev to abuse the drug to get the hypnotic or sleepy effects. an that is then affecting my doseage during the day..
Yes i agree. These so called patients who really are drug addicts are giving everyone that needs these drugs for medicinal purposes a bad name. I take Q and Citalopram and without these drugs my stress and anxiety would literally give me a heart attack.
it depends on what you mean by ''fail a drugs test'' you will ONLY show up positive for benzodiazepines if tested so u should be fine as long as your doctor prescribed them for you
Hello WestConner I'm passing by menopause and I having a lot of hot flashes and no sleeping at all, my doctor prescribe me Alprazolam .25 mg and help me, but know she gave me other medication veralipridine 100 mg, yesterday a took it and today a felt all dizzy and sleepy, and a saw in the web that this second medication give you some problems like parkinson and depression (sorry if a miss or misspell) Maybe both medications cross thats way i felt this way,
Veralipridine? I had to Google it, don't know anything about it because it is not available in the US. You should have your hormones checked with a saliva test. Check estradiol, progesterone, and testosterone. In the US, ZRT Labs in Oregon is good. Check with your doctor in your country. Alprazolam should make you sleep but I'm pretty sure the problem is hormone levels. Good luck.

Is there anything that can help that can be purchased over the counter...I know Gabapentin and Trazodone do help, but I'm also curious about anything else. I'm on a small dose, but the withdrawal is freakish to say the least...Thank you for making these videos!
I'm not too familiar with gabapentin helping but the trazodone will help you sleep. Get yourself a pill cutter and slowly take a smaller and smaller dose. You can also try kavakava or valarian root to help you relax. Don't take it with the alprazolam though, wait until you are off it.

grapefruit juice doesn't cancel it out, it does the opposite...it potentiates the effect of alprazolam.

Grapefruit juice :) It tends to block the enzyme that breaks the medication down.
