@Muddrik Old-persian is very similiar to sanskrit and both of this ancient languages were members of indo-iranian(aryan) languages and that's why urdu and persian are kind of similiar today. partly and mostly of the common indo-iranian words, as well persian influence and even some common words of arabic and turkic. Urdu and farsi both Indo-iranian (iranic) languages by nature and arabic is semitic, totally from a different family tree.
@ccastudent3 no you are mistaken. Prophet Muhammad(S), was from Hijaz, the construct known as "Saudi Arabia" was created by the Sykes Picot Agreement following the dismantling of the Ottoman Empire. Hijaz is the western portion of what is now called Saudi Arabia. He was born in Makkah, and passed away in Madinah where he is burried. Hope that helps.
DAMN SHOWS HOW STUPID AND IGNORANT U ARE ...U HAVE SO MUCH TO LEARN ABOUT HISTORY FIRST OF ALL ALL IM GOING TO SAY IS WE HAVE 10,000 years of history and our profit mohammad from 1400 yrs ago taught u stupid ARABS not to eat bugs and kill ur women. GO READ SOME BOOKS and get back to me u MORAN.
@TheMango9634 From a scientific point of view, neo-persian(Farsi/Dari) is totally different from middle-persian(Pahlavi). Perhaps not totally but if you mix pahlavi persian with some arabic and turkish vocabulary you will have Farsi. Because our farsi is heavily mixed with arabic, and some turkish. almoust 40% of farsi is made by arabic words. Still languages like farsi and urdu are indo european languages part of iranian(iranic) sub-branch by nature. Arabic is semitic language by nature.
@TheMango9634 That's why we do not speak pahlavi (middle-persian) anymore which used to be the original form of Persian, if you trace thousands of years back in history it's old-persian. Old-persian is very similiar to sanskrit and both of this ancient languages were members of indo-iranian(aryan) languages and that's why urdu and persian are kind of similiar today. partly and mostly of the common indo-iranian words, as well persian influence and even some common words of arabic and turkic.
