  • Wow, what a beautiful horse! He was smart, too, that was amazing!

  • what a beast of a horse!!

  • impressive haha!

  • that is grease. its supposed to help the horse slide over the jump smoothly w/ minimal damage in case the horse whacks into a jump. doesnt do much good in a rotaional fall though. but effetive in a brush nonetheless

  • wow that was amazing! :D

  • that rider is my idol :D

  • I believe that pair was at event named Richland Horse trials doing thier three star course... very awesome pair to watch going around the XC course...

  • was it the 4th of may that cross country day?

  • What a great horse and a great rider!

  • Storm Valley Stables, the yelling was cheering, and even at the flippin' Pre-Begginer Novice level, they wouldn't get disqualified! ( I would know, i did that level two years ago on the pony i leased, my event team cheered me on.. the only way i got disqualified was b/c i had one to many refusals!) i Must say you may want to go adn read a rule book!

    and thats one amazing rider!

  • Wow! What a heck of a rider, and that horse is amazing to not duck out. Must have quite a bond.

  • hmm well I got in trouble for yelling so, whatever

  • Yeah same here!!!!!! They are all like shhhhhhhhh.

  • maybe not in this level, but on a lower level I could very much see that getting a rider in trouble.

  • god bless that horse...haha

  • may i use this in my video?

  • that was awesome! but my heart always hurts a little when i see that flower basket, because of what happened to Laine Ashker and poor Frodo Baggins =[ he was so gorgeous

  • Hey mandy its me got a channel thingy... and by the way everybody i haven't ridden Arthur before but i have lunged him.

  • wow, was i off! lol, at least i knew the horse's name!

  • oh ok.

    thanks :)

  • It's simply called grease. It's either clear or white, just so they can slide/scramble over a jump with less resistance if something happens. It's also extra protection for the skin. Don't see it being put on until at LEAST Preliminary level.

  • haha.

yeah that all makes sense why i dont know about it.

    thanks.

  • it also has antibiotics in it just in case they do get cut there is less likely to be an infection

  • HA! I love the crowds reaction when they make it over

  • hahaha.

    that made me smile.

whats the white stuff on his legs?

    it cant be sweat!

i saw in during the olympics 08 too.

  • That horse is a saint!

  • i second that!

  • wow, i deffo wud hav fallen off lol :p

  • wow

  • Haha you screamed LOUD

  • she is from my Pony Club And Gave us lessons after Rolex

  • Who was that?

  • i think it's connie asher and arthur... i know the horse is definitely arthur, bot sure of the rider name though!

(that's when you know your a horse person, you know the horses but not the riders, unless of course it's one of the living legends, ie dutton, wofford, morris, plumb etc and so forth

  • Dude I was over watching Pale face jump I think it was the ducks when this happen... I heard them say it over the annoucing and I was so excited I love athur and her ridder... I also got to meet heidi white and kim seaverson they where really nice

  • Damn eventers stick like glue.

I would have died. Even if I didn't fall off, I think I would just topple over and die. My horse would never have jumped without me balanced anyway.

  • i feel so bad for that horse!! good save on rider's part

  • AWeSOME!!!!!!!

  • has anyone got a video of laine falling off? i really would like to know what happened?

  • She took her horse waaay to fast for the flower box jump... like she didn't even slow down, the horse flipped she fell off the horse broke it's neck and the ridder got a broken jaw, craked ribs and some other shit... all the videos are taken off though they use to be on here

  • she actually didnt take it fast, she was fine. Frodo does'nt like that kind of jump, and he ducked his head, which put his legs down, and...he fell. Like bjumper said, he broke his neck.

  • I beg to differ. She seemed to totally ignore the small dip in the ground before the fence. Watching the other riders, they almost "show jumped" that fence. She galloped it, intentionally, and that was NOT how that jump was designed to be ridden. He did not get to the correct take off spot, and that is her job.

  • I agree now, the dip was fairly hard to see and I did'nt see it until you pointed it out.

  • Well that is what I was told.. but i did here that so I don't know which one is correct

  • wow.that was an awesome save, i was standing in that same area and i saw laine & froddo fall. it was very scary, i have it on video but i am not posting it.

  • that was awesome. talk about a great horse. he really helped her out there

  • @FutureInvestment175 she helped him!

  • this horse is so cool!! Yay Alison and Aurthor!

  • What a save!

  • What an awesome save!

  • WAY TO HANG ON!!!1

  • i was standing on the other side where you were filming and i was like...holy crap! that was amazing! lol

  • I was standing on the side about 20 feet away from where you are filming. I couldn't believe that she held on to jump the last fence. On video it seems to go so fast, but at the time, I remember jumping up and down yelling for her to "hang on"!!! I was thrilled when I found your video! Thanks!

  • yelling that kind of stuff can get a rider dissquallified.

  • you can cheer, just not assist.

  • yea, you can cheer, just not go, get him over it! cause I got in trouble for doing that

  • yeah I dont get that. cause it is encouroging the rider to use all of his/her strength.

  • yea

  • were u there when laine ashker fell?

  • I was. It was very sad... Were you?

  • i saw quiet man fall. it was scary, but not as scray as laine. i saw the trailer go out nad i stood there 4 like an hour while it happened. we just happened to be close, but we didn't c it.

  • i was there when laine fell, it was soo sad!

  • OMG That was soooo sad. I couldn't believe it just happend. I was their too

  • i think it was the definatly the rider's fault

  • No, Her horse cliped the jump with his back legs.

  • Go Allison!!! I trained with her when she still lived in the chicagoland area. Aw, I miss her

  • Allison is really good! She is my friends trainer at my barn!

  • Isn't that jump 5?? The same jump where Frodo lost his life? Were you there when that happened?

anyways..good job Allison for staying on!

  • Frodo Baggins lost his life on the flower basket. I saw the whole thing happen when frodo flipped:( soo sad

  • i was there too, i didn't see it, i was down by the flower basket thought..

  • #42 was Allison Springer and Arthur. That horse is a SAINT!

  • i remember hearing about this on the speacker i was at the ducks right then

  • Allison Springer and Arthur from Marshall, Va. My trainer! Those two are amazing together.

  • I remember this! i was just standing there going hooooly shit! I was sure she was going to fall. Actually, i think i see my gigantic dog in the background. we were crossing guards by the basket all day

  • i was there!!!!! i got a really really good pic of her almost falling off. that happens to me all the time but i usually stay on! I LOVE RIDING!!!

  • Haha how friggin awesome! I would LOVE to have velcro on my ass like that!

  • Damn eventers. Stick like glue.

  • Damn right!

    :-)

  • I have had some pretty good saves, but not as good as that one. It is pretty amazing that the horse and rider can slip up like that in the middle of a combination and go on to finish the combination without missing a beat.

  • She just pulled a "Morgan" Save!!!!!

I'm pretty famous for doing those!

  • I saw that! It was an amazing recovery!

  • that was allsion springer riding artur...wonderful stickibility on her part!!!
