@beto77baez I've had mine for 2 weeks now, and the battery still lasts all day. By all day I mean 16 hours plus. By the time I go to sleep and begin charging, it usually has about 45% - 50% battery remaining.

So far so good. I heard the Huawei Ascend II's battery sucked.

I exchanged a Samsung Transfix for the Mercury, Wow what a difference.. The mercury's lcd is very bright & clear, The internal speaker quality is clear and loud while playing games, If you goto Settings / Applications you can enable Fast Boot which makes it turn on much quicker from a powered off state. The only notable con I've experienced so far is the audio quality when recording videos, It's very hollow & compressed sounding, but perhaps they can improve that with a software upgrade.

I wouldn't get this phone only because I had the huawei ascend on the metro network and it was horrible. Will never buy that brand again.

@gooca96 That's a value phone. The darn thing cost like 150 bucks or something. It was practically a throw away Android phone. Motorola/HTC/Samsung made some cheap devices too. They sold so many Ascends so it was a success for them. To understand what a business does you have to think like a business. I think as a business you try to make money. Sounds about right, eh?

@gooca96 huawei ascend on cricket was not that bad, the ascend II is a really nice step up. with the mercury it it's better internal build, I don't see anything major that would make it a bad phone.

@gooca96 That was the FIRST version of the phone, so there is going to be major problems. Metro isn't a great phone company (so i have been told by friends that have their huawei ascend phones). But people damn sure belittled Cricket's phone company no look at this, huawei ascend 2 along with this phone. What more could you want on this phone it looks amazing and works like a charm. rapid response, text responsive. i still have my huawei and throwing my phone to get this.Think about it

@MarionetteKazuko Same here. I've tried rooting it, but the Superuser app never gets granted Superuser rights. I've done everything correctly on both Windows and Linux, but it's not working. Puzzling. However, I don't think it will be long before something is developed to easily root it.
