  • Just wanted to say hello =] I made this recipe last week and am making it again tonight. It's only my second week going low carb and it would have been a lot harder without recipes like this that actually taste lilke real food. I bought the ingredients for the peanut butter fudge and strawberry poke cake too and am looking forward to making them soon! Thanks for your videos =]

  • @MIpologirl You are very welcome, and I am glad to help in whatever way I can... :-)

  • so i cooked this tonight, well i am cooking it now lol.. how do i put it in fit day tho.. i did not eat 4 eggs, lol, i wont have 3/4 heavy cream.. i'm only having a slice of the taco bake... so confused... :/

  • @hrj318881 I usually do these recipes one of two ways. Add the whole recipe to Fitday, and then take the totals and create a custom food. With that new custom food, you can thing add it and then the portion (1/6th, 1/4th, 1/8th) that you ate. That is the longer way with these multiple food recipes. The shorter way is to add the portion of the total of each item you ate. I like using the first one for the ones I am going to eat more often, and the second one for the one I only eat once.

  • I made this for lunch and ate it again for supper and I have to say...it was a really nice change. Thanks for the recipe!

  • @hannahkathrynodom Always nice to find a good change of pace recipe. I am glad I could share it with you guys...

  • where it says it has five carbs...is that with the fiber already subtracted from the carbs?

  • @hannahkathrynodom No, that is the total carbohydrates. Net carbs for this recipe would be 4g.

  • Wanted to commend you on this recipe. I am on day 3 of induction and I tried this today and it was FABULOUS!! Thanks so much for these videos I watch them everyday. Seeing the change you went through keeps me motivated to keep going. Thanks for all your doing and GOD bless.

  • @TheAshbrittany Hopefully I will have a videographer tonight to film another one of my videos, so be looking for one late tonight or tomorrow morning. This one won't be Induction Friendly, but it'll be something to look forward to after your done with Induction. I am glad you liked this one.

  • I can't wait to try this recipe, but I think instead of green pepers(because I don't care much for them) I will use red bell pepper(a little less than what you used) and maybe do a little bit of onion also.

  • @marnao122 I encourage tweaking of all my recipes to your tastes. I know I often tweak and change things up based upon my own tastes or just simply what I have in the house. Experimentation is the joy of cooking, and perhaps one of the reasons my baking side is not as good. :-)

  • @kentralmakes3 - Thanks a lot! I work out by doing Zumba Kinect 4-5 times a week for 45 minutes. It is a lot of fun and I HATE working out! LOL! I am not a video gamer either, but love to dance. I burn about 450-550 calories each time. I also do New Atkins' and keep my calories at about 1200-1300 a day (I also use the Lose It! app from iTunes). I have Hashimoto's Thyroiditis and on a beta blocker so it makes it a little tougher for me to lose. I can't eat as heavy as some can.

  • I have been watching your videos half the morning! Your videos are such a huge burst to my motivation! I started Atkin's in January with the hopes of losing 70 pounds and have already lost almost 45 of them. Recipes like yours show how easy it is to maintain this lifestyle. Keep them coming! :)

  • @StephaniP1 I am glad I could help, and big congrats on your progress so far. 45 pounds since January is fantastic!

  • @StephaniP1 - Can I ask exactly how you are doing that? Wow!!! That is amazing. I know you are doing Atkins, but , can I ask how much you eat and how much you exercise? Congrats!!!

  • any suggestions for salsa? is it 1 or 2 pounds of ground beef; have you tried ground turkey? Thanks for all you do!

  • OMG! I made this today and it is SOOOOOOOOOO good. I'll probably be eating taco bake every day. lol Thanks for this recipe.

  • @writeserengeti13 Glad you liked the recipe... I love a taco pizza, and this one certainly met that niche.

  • Great Meal! We made it last night. Easy and great tasting even if your not living the low carb lifestyle...Keep them coming and thanks, Happy New Year!

    Dan

  • @Dlgillen Being a dad who doesn't like multiple of different dishes for my non LC'ers, having a dish delicious to all is important to me. I was just going through my recipes in my head yet to do, and I had at least 8 or 9 recipes ready to go. Looking forward to the new year and another year of low carbing...

  • @bowulf I been low carbin since July. Im down 70 lbs. I still have another 70 to go...Your recipes are the best thing I have found. We have used several of them over the past few months. Looking forward to the next one!!

Thanks for taking the time to post them. Dan

  • Looks delicious!!! Thanks for the recipe. We love Mexican styled dishes in our house too. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you and your family. :) ps...keep 'em coming Kent...just love watching you cook.

  • @rast123456789 All to prevent boredom and feelings of deprivation on this diet. :-)

  • damn such a geneius idea!!!

  • @meshkat19 Thanks!

  • This looks great and will give it a try for sure! Merry Christmas to you and your family!! Thank you for all your great low carb recipes.....it helps me stay on track!! I'm doing turkey all low carb tomorrow! We discovered how a sprinkle of Xanthan Gum thickens gravy and will make the faux mashed 'potatoes' that you make! I will also make a crustless cheesecake using splenda. It really is easy to stay low carb!

  • This looks amazing I can't wait to try! Merry Christmas!!

  • @n10ding The mozzarella cheese usually lends to a better crust (less cheese flavored) . I hope you like it! Have a blessed Christmas!

  • OH MY GOSH !!! Thank you soo much for posting this video. That looks wonderful !!Have blessed, Merry Christmas !

  • @mshealthfirst You are very welcome. I hope you and yours have the same blessed Christmas.

  • I love Mexican themed food and that looks yummy with a beautiful presentation. The crust looks great and I am anxious to try this recipe. Thanks for all your cooking videos!

  • @ckrtom2 Thanks for watching. I highly recommend it, and it is extremely simple to make. Here's to a very merry Christmas and an even better 2011!

  • do both you and your wife do atkins? and how much weight have you both lost? has she had the same amount of success as you, if you both did it?

  • @spieldose She has done low carb in the past and lost nearly 100 pounds too. She however is completely free to chose whatever way of eating makes her most happy.

  • Looks good. Can't wait to try it.

Merry Christmas to you and your family!

  • Respond to this video... Thanks for the nice comments and for watching!

  • How "eggy" does the crust turn out? (By eggy I mean egg flavor)

    It definitely looks good though.

  • @thecpukiller With the additional taco spices, I can't taste any eggy flavor. This is additionally helped if you cooked any the crust was more browned than say even I did in this video. My wife and I are or were big taco pizza fans, and this is a good substitute for that.

  • That looks good!

  • @imnanasmama Thanks!
