As far as the bands that are around, there is no musicianship, just silly lyrics that are either rapped or screamed, and there is no such thing as a good guitar or keyboard solo to be found!!!

@BLUESMANRONCHICAGO - Very true. Everything u said are the same reasons why I don't listen to mainstream music (such as pop, hip hop & rap). I listen to older music for the most part. Jazz & Blues musicians still carry raw authenticity in their work. Luckily George Benson & Stevie Wonder are still around. I also listen to Esperanza Spalding, Hiromi Uehara, & Joshua Redman in terms of Jazz. For Blues/pop I like John Mayer. Thank goodness for them
