  • GREAAAAAT!!! :))))))

  • Amazing

  • Was looking for Costello's version, found yours and LOVE it!

  • This is such a good version. The Juliet Letters is an absolute masterpiece. I saw the original broadcast on British TV (is it really nearly twenty years ago?!!), bought the CD soon after release, and have been listening to it ever since. There's always something new to get out of these songs. It's particularly interesting now to see how others reinterpret the music for other instruments.

  • thank you - very lovely.

  • Had to watch it again, three more times. Excellent performance, and video production.

  • Wonderful rendition, and video and sound production. "The Juliet Letters" is a masterpiece, and, IMHO, this is one of the best songs from the album, though "The Juliet Letters" was all very satisfying to an EC fan like me. Please keep up the good work. You deserve far more "thumbs up" than you've gotten so far.

  • Very nice. So much of Elvis' work is "underenjoyed." Best interoation I have ever seen/heard fom a kat who got My Aim is True when it came out.

  • The old joke is one in which lonely people (soldiers especially) take a photo of the grocery store items Pride and Joy (wood polish and dish detergent, I think) and then ask if you'd "like to see a picture of my pride and joy... " Great rendition! I play "The Birds Will Still be Singing" and "Jacksons, Monk and Rowe" on guitar all the time... and nobody knows where they're from... Yes, it's a masterpiece.

  • StLennyBruce (great handle!): I've never gotten the reference in that one song---I'm not near my music library, so I forget which---where EC sings of "like when a soldier in a story says to the sergeant 'Have you seen my pride and joy?'---You know the rest---and it's no joke..."

I'm an obtuse person much of the time, and here's an example. What is he alluding to here?

  • Oh, very nice, man. Isn't it an incredible album? Great rendition.

  • Thank you, and yes, it's a dang masterpiece in my book. "The Letter Home" and "Taking My Life In Your Hands" bring me to tears every time I hear them.

  • thanks for posting, i have to base a drama piece on this music and i couldn't find it anywhere. thankyou!

  • Wonderful......brought me tears

  • Thank you. It's a very deep and painfully true-to-life song.

  • I'm truly impressed, Alonzo. Excellent rendering of a beautiful song.

  • Awesome. so glad someone did this, i've been looking for it online since i heard it in class 2 years ago.

  • great! thanks for posting!!

  • Thanks for this -lovely version. I'm going to see Elvis play with the Brodsky Quartet this weekend - yaaaaaay!!!

  • I should reissure my video with me GREEN with envy. How great for you. Have a great time, and I don't need to tell you for that to happen!

  • Wait - Costello and the Brodsky Quartet are playing together again live? No way...

I'd love to see a live version of "Who Do You Think You Are"

  • beutifull song, I'll have to check out the album.

  • A very interesting song that I've never heard before. I'll give you as many stars as I can.

  • Thanks, sir, and do check out "The Juliet Letters" by EC and the Brodskys if you can. It's a unique and beautiful album.

  • Marvelous. You never cease to amaze.
