good vid, college life is def. free but you gotta make the right choices about your life and where you wanna end up... a campus ministry is always a good way to plug in and meet friendly people that can help you...
why do u all have to put those that believe down??? just because they've got faith. if u've got "issues" w/jesus or god ..... that's your problem. maybe if u understood or had faith ..... u wouldn't be as messed up or angry. we're not pitiful or clueless. we're happy. something obviously MANY of you aren't. just go away.
In my opinion religion is brainwashing. It's not necessarily a bad thing, I just don't believe it. It's a crutch for people to use when they can't deal with their problems on their own. Again, not a bad thing, just some people take it way overboard.
Christianity isnt a religion, its a relationship. it isnt a crutch, its a way of life. i have no idea how you get brainwashing from it because if you actually looked into it, you'd see that christianity is actually a very factual faith.
I don't think there is such thing as a "factual faith" if you take it's "teachings" literally. I can take the Bible if not taken literally. When taken figuratively it says the same thing that science says just in a different, poetic way. I still don't believe it, but you do and that's cool with me.
if thats what you think, then you dont know too much about the bible. you can press the scriptures incredibly hard and they still hold up... there is literally TONS of evidence towards christianity, and the bible being the inspired word of god. and if you dont believe me, there's plenty of sources out there. My personal favorite is "New Evidence That Demands A Verdict" by Josh mcdowell
ProtoBrisk: I agree. Anyone who says there is evidence of God is lying, or doesn't know what evidence means. I don't care whether people believe in God or not to be honest, but to say you have evidence is just irrational and deluded.
And that is exactly what it is like the girl said "It's like, wow, I am in College now! And I can go and do what I want..." That is exactly the main thought going through your head, that gets you tempted to get into a mess. So much happening that never gets out in the open. But college partying is much worse than you all think it is.
It is so tempting to let yourself go and get into the party scene,...as it says here, get involved with youth ministries once you go to college, not everyone goes to college, even when you get on your own and get a job, or join the military - find some focal point of ministry to guide you to adult hood.
I think this is awesome, this is just a promotion for the website, .... so go and have a look on what it is about.
When I went to college, I got sucked into the party scene, too. And I wish I would've never done it, maybe then I had finished college, and would've never gotten into all the relationships I was in. When I went with my aunt and uncle, who are youth ministers, to a major youth gathering, I found Christ, and turned my live around.

Ghey, get sucked in by the college crowd then get sucked in by the religious fanatic one...wow, you guys really are screwed...I feel your pain...err not..
The BIBLE and GOID is MAN MADE>> This is a FACT.. by anyone with half a brain. It was created to keep the SHEEP at bay. To help those who cannot think for themselves.
Show me your evidence. I spent the summer studying a lot of scientific and philosophical evidence that would prove otherwise. You might look into reading this book:
Einstein even believed in a higher power as a result of studying physics. Was Einstein week minded? Study your own mind before you call others week minded. You cite that God is man made as a fact. Fact need evidence, WHERE IS YOUR DAMN EVIDENCE. Think for yourself, stop drinking the kool-aid of culture. Ask your teachers questions, examine your own worldview through and through then make a decision. Look in the mirror yourself and see if you see a sheep looking in the mirror back at you.
I meant "weak" minded, sorry spelling is not my strong suit. After reading your spelling, I'm sure you're one who can understand. :) I'm a little weak minded when it comes to spelling. :P
Great video, hope to see the full version of it. This is a great initiative started by you guys and I wish you all the success in it. I sincerely wish that something of this sort starts up in India so that younger generation can learn the art of living and can get/give a better life.
As a campus minister I wish every new college student could understand how profoundly important even small decisions can be at this stage in their life. Hopefully this video will help some students find a campus ministry home that keeps them connected to the body of Christ, it could change the course of their life, it did mine.
I didn't like this video in the ways of how the quick short story went. Binge drinking, Sexual Assault, and straight into join youth ministry. find a ministry home for you. Good message in stay out trouble and start finding a path.
This is a great step in helping our young people stand when they go away to college. But we might also consider not cloning them into our own image. (What a horrible thought to think of a generation of young people who live as half-hearted as we too often do.) We should be training them to stand on God's Word, in the fullness of their passion, so that they might become the men and women God created them to be.
A video that parents should see, high school students should take seriously, college students should use to reach out to freshmen on campus, and the chruch should take seriously.
I graduated in '91. I've told Srs that culture shock awaits. In the 1st 72 hrs on campus I (1) walked thru a margarita party in the dorm. I refused an offer of a drink, but my wasted roommate punched the bartender to keep me from temptation (2) Walked into a room with a marijuana cloud (3) Helped a young woman escape a date-rape after a frat party. That was '87. Destructive lifestyles are harder to avoid than ever. I only made it thru 'cause of a campus group, WDA. I hope you can make it, too.
Eye opening........If I didn't know better I would think this was scripted. Thanks for speaking the truth. We all should open our eyes. Now do I get the scholarship

the church is trying to find new people to brainwash. just another angle for them to connect to people and ruin their lives...
