@fhdsgfhkgkj Our VE-Ware tool and the plug-in are both available for free, no strings attached - go to our website and click on download software and choose the VE-Ware option. Other levels of our simulation tools are paid for and available to trial for 30 days - I think this is where the confusion lies as the plug-in links to them all.

How do you install the VE Ware? I just downloaded it, and it's an ".msi" file, and my computer does not recognize it.

Sorry to hear you have been having problems installing VE-Ware. I believe you will find a solution on the IES VE-Ware User Forum. If not post a new topic with full details of the problem and we can investigate for you.

Unfortunately, this company will not actually give you the file for free like their website claims. I imagine they got a grant to make it available for free and are not actually following through. Too bad!

Please be assured that VE-Ware is completely free. We did not get a grant to develop VE-Ware, our founder is a keen advocate of the power of performance analysis in aiding green building design and wanted to make a global commitment by opening up some of the capabilities of our software for free. We offer other paid for tools which utilise the plug-in to Google SketchUp, but VE-Ware is and will continue to be free.
