Why to put -1 to VASSILISCHR??? i think you are not at all fair, just because he is right??? the sister E.G. White describes how the angels worship God with reverence, lets better as GOD what kind of worship HE wants, not what kind of worship WE want Ezekiel 22:26
I think you guys did great, and for vassilischr... Several places in the bible speak of playing a new song in a new way, and gosh, there's even a several places about a lyre (aka guitar) that King David plays. 2 Samuel 6:5 "David and the whole house of Israel were celebrating with all their might before the LORD, with songs and with harps, lyres, tambourines, sistrums and cymbals." Gee, that kind of sounds like contemporary worship music, only about 3000 plus years ago.
This type of music, "contemporary worship", is totally unacceptable in an SDA community. It is a good example of how christian music should not be; electric guitars, drums ... it is sad.
What's wrong with 'contemporary worship,' as you put it? If you don't like that sort of music on an artistic level then fair enough (personally I can't stand rap, even Christian rap) but I don't see how a particular sort of music can be some how 'unacceptable.'
Whisper it, speak it, shout it, sing it, however you do it, the main thing is that you're declaring your love for the Lord!
Notice that you say it's unnacceptable in an SDA community? You didn't even mention Jesus, or God altogether. You didn't give any bible refferences to back up what you said either.
DO you know God as your personal Lord and Saviour?
