@SuperChinese89 Remove the US default altogether AFTER you've added English UK. That worked for me.

today i was playing world of warcraft and suddenly the key layout went all weird. for example the escape key took me to the desktop. since then it goes switches back n forth between normal layout and this weird one (its normal as i type this). and when it goes weird i find that pressing "/" (the slash key) it switches it back to normal for awhile! any ideas?

First, open Control Panel.

Then, click Clock Language and Region.

Next, go to change keyboards or input methods.

Then, in the tabs along the top, click Advanced Key Settings.

And there should be two things to check at the top, one being turning off caps lock with shift, and the other turning off caps lock with caps lock. (:
