Instead Of controlling it from that switch you could use a Motion Detected switch intead to just use the Inside of the elevator as a Radius and set it to Direction so if you fall it would come back down to the bottom.

i have made an elevators with three grab switches one for each floor. the grab switches are numbered 1,2 and 3. if u press 3 it will go the third floor and stop(same for other numbers). Just like a real elevator!

try using some magnetic keys to activate the doors. like umm.... put either magnetic key switch on a dissolve material and use a sensor switch to dissolve the material which should shut the door forever. i hope that helped

What frusterates me is that I cant make a simple door that stays open when you need it too and closed when you need it too.

Case in point: I made a CH-47 Chinook helicopter (the big army ones with the two rotors). I made the back door open like a real one. Problem is: I want it to be open and stay open when you arrive at it, and then close before taking off and STAY closed while in mid flight only to open after landing. How?

I'm thinking 3 way switch? ?_? I cant test out, vacat in hour.

I may be a little late, but I have a good guess...

Try what He did, by making the first green switch (I can't remember the name, sorry!) on the back of the helicopter, and then make the other switch on a block that can disappear after you start the plane. Then, when you land, Place one more trigger switch to open up the door. I hope my vague description helped somewhat!
