Well, as rude as i usually am i'm not gonna say you're an idiot since you thought about what you are posting. Most people don't.

I didn't want to spend that much time on it for a huge elaborate video, i just wanted a simple and short video for giggles.

That's just one example. For your joke to work, you can't assume people are that "smart"

For instance, for your joke to work, you'd have to put a voice of a person along with the video for instance, making wild speculations as to how menacing those white dots could be. At the same time, you'd be showing those dots zomed in, making the contrast between what the person is speculating and what it actually is. Then you would divide the screen into two panes. One pane would keep stressing out the reality to absurd levels, the other pane would show what the person thinks it is.

Well you're looking at the joke other way around. Now that you EXPLAINED it, it sort of redeems itself. The problem is, that's not what you get from it the first time you watch it. You'd have to make it MORE obvious that they're actually something pretty ordinary, and then deliver the punchline. The setup you have is ambiguous.

It's a joke. Just like the people believing that shiny dots floating around for a few minutes in what appears to be a strange mating ritual is alien spacecraft. Especially since they move like balloons, look like balloons and the close up picture that was on the news when they were bunched together looked like grapes. If aliens came to new york, they aren't going to dance around and fly off, and they won't be that small unless driven by gerbils.

actually there's a picture, well it was shown on Inside edition, that showed a closer up picture when bunched together. You could tell that they weren't very large. You can see it grouped together in pictures. Sometimes we want to believe something so badly, we blind ourselves to do so. They were too low and/or small for radar to pick up, unless people want to believe that these shiny objects are invisible yet visible to the human eye.
