  • sounded like nick cave and it was a song i didnt know

  • Half-Sack was an Iraqi war veteran.I find it ironic. After all, Bagh-dad didn't kill him.

  • i went through all the episodes in 4 days i really should have paced my self season 2 was my favorite the whole violent overly religious and huge racism thing is just a topic i love watching fall and being crushed into the dirt even if it is by a killer motorcycle gang o im sorrry "harley appreciation club"

  • @montanealan I miss Sack, I love that silly cute idiot

  • @StrangeGirl484 He was mostly pretty smart, particularly compared to some of the prospects! Half a sack maybe but twice the balls!

  • @Flamekebab True very true, I like how you incorporated one of the quotes they had about him. I'm going to miss him so much, he was the cutest and funniest young man they had on there. I hope these new prospects will atleast be HALF the man he was

  • two seasons later and I'm still bummed about sack.

  • love the way jacks fucked up that shooters face, just watched s3e1 wonder who was behind the shooting though

  • @haeltacforce i just watched it as well, wondering the same thing.

  • Great song, perfect mash-up to the SoA season 3 episode 1 ending...

  • 3 persons was on family with Hale !

  • great song for a great show and episode

  • The title refers to Baghdad, or Dad for short, because the song is about the Iraqi War. Old Ali Baba is another species refers to Saddam and the Iraqi soldiers and their methods of warfare.

  • 3 people got head-smashed

  • Good show, good tune!

  • Thumbs up, if everytime you hear this song, only thing you can think about is Jax Teller smashing that shooters head to the ground!

  • Just watched the first episode of Sons of Anarchy season 3 and as this song was playing I thought to myself "that sounds like Richard Thompson". Looks like I was right. Good song.

  • R.I.P. Half-Sack :[

  • @natandolejal

Dude, write SPOILER if your gonna say stuff like that man. Some people haven't seen that far through. I've seen 'em all but I just got me mate into the series and he loves Half Sack's character! Now he's gutted! :P

  • Yeeeee the true song!!!!!!!!

  • Men of Mayhem

  • Awesome ? Nope, "Awesome" is too weak.

  • SOA

  • Generation Kill!!

  • Good song... dads going to kill me...

  • Baghdad. Thumbs up if you had no idea.

  • sons of anarchy

  • I came here because, Lester Bohem, the guy who wrote Dante's Peak, played bass in the Sparks and was the front man in the Gleaming Spires told me Richard Thompson was a good guitarist and songwriter when his son and I were hanging out and watching a documentary about North Korea. I'm way better than all of you.

  • Respect SoA!

  • SOA for life.

  • good song.

  • richard rhompson vivait bien avant SOA (j'adore cette série) ne l'oubliez pas... j'aime cet homme. Guns are the tongues...The most beautiful song for me....

  • its to bad half sack died woulda bin good to see him patched up he was a ballsy lil guy

  • buddy needs to kill dad first.

  • Half-Sacks (f)

  • I know there's a lot of people posting things about Sons of Anarchy in the comments and it gets a little annoying at times, but I kinda have to make one, too.

My life's taken a turn for the worse in the past year, and I've kinda lost sight of where I came from. In my free time, I've been watching SoA to take my mind off things, but as I've been watching, I've been hearing songs I know. When I heard Dad's Gonna Kill Me again, a lot good memories came back.

    Thanks for posting.

  • He sounds like Nick cave=/

  • Sons Of Anarchy S3E01 end soundtrac!! yeah, it's cool!!1

  • Très belle musique!!!!! Elle est très bien inséré dans l'épisode ou elle est présente.

  • I dont even remember the scene of SoA where there was this fantastic song... but yeah, soa brought me here XD

by the way, what was the scene/ episode?

  • @YABRY Season 3, episode 1.

  • @YABRY its either the first or second episode in the 3rd series

  • 3 people's dads tried to kill them.

  • @Randomnoobi The song isn't about fathers, "Dad" is referring to Baghdad...

  • I coulda sworn this was a remake of an older version. i know ive heard this ages ago (before 2007 and sons) just had a different tune.

  • For everybody who thinks this song sucks.

    Look at the dislike bar.

    Now at your penis.

    Difference is none.

  • @Mrexantexan hear hear!!

  • I love the fact I knew of this song and Richard Thompson before SOA

  • @madlikeblogger Why?

  • R.I.P. half sack and Hale (even tho he was a duchbag towards SAMCRO. LIVE ON S.O.A!!!!

  • @plokmij23

    spoiler! :(

  • @plokmij23 yeah Hale didn't like SAMCRO, but he had a bit of a conscience when it came to taking them down the right way. He deserved better than what he got. Stahl on the other hand... she can rot in hell.

  • In the end, Dad didn't killed me, but it was a hell of a fight....

  • @kakabona2 oh it did, irish man was killed by father priest in a church...

  • If SOA has brought people to check out Richard Thompson's awesome talent, great stuff. He's a killer musician and I doubt anyone will be unhappy if they check out his other great albums.

  • I'd never heard of this guy until SOA, and I keep my ear close to the radio. He's from Scotland, I believe. Maybe he's just getting known herre. Whatever... GREAT song. Truly great. I'll keep watching for this guy. What a bunch of cool dudes.

  • Half-Sack, you will be missed. R.I.P

  • I LOVE SOA!! i also love the music they put in the episodes!

  • im only 21 but this song hits my heart like no other

  • Sons of Anarchy :) <3

  • I just want to say one thing : 81 rules yeah and guys dont forget that life is just fun and thats all, parole de 81 francais

  • Is anybody else getting REALLY ANNOYED that you can't listen to this on a link from your playlist? That makes absolutely no Goddamn sense and you can blow me SME.

  • Thank you for the long version, and for putting up the lyrics. This is the best song about the war. I have never heard this on the radio, and I'm so glad I heard it on SOA. It's truly great.

  • SOA brought me here and I'm proud. That show has brought me to great music I would have no idea how to find on my own.

  • Right, Richard Thompson may be an amazing musical genius, but he's not exactly mainstream. I'm thrilled to have heard this song on SOA, and that's made me seek out more of the man's music. And that's how any artist gets their music out to audiences, by any means necessary. I don't care how I heard it, I'm just happy I did. Same goes for countless other songs on SOA that I was lucky enough to hear.

  • R.I.P Half Sack & Hale

  • HE TOKE MY SON OF ANARCHY!!!!!

  • get over it and appreciate the artist for what he is able to deliver...the both of you!

  • SAMCRO!!!

  • Daaaaaaadddd's gona kill me!....If i play this any louder! XD

  • every time i hear it it sends chills down my spine

  • samcro of the top

  • SONS OF ANARCHY IS SO FUCKING AWESOME!!!!!

  • SOA the best :D

  • It doesn't matter how one comes across music I heard this on Sons of Anarchy, so fucking what big deal.

  • 1 Person likes Justin Bieber and hates good music

  • very powerful track.... its not sad that SAMCRO put it on the map...Bet you Richard Thompson is cool with the fact that people know who he is now...alot more people that is.

  • yep, heard it in Soa.. nice song thought

  • SOA

  • amazing :)

  • Jax smacking that guys head into the pavement after the driveby...Best scene

  • @AussieRedneck09 Agreed! Best episode so far, so powerful!

  • @AussieRedneck09 Yea the rage and the emotion in his mind, i love jax for that scene. seeing the pain that the shooter caused and taking rightful action.

  • @gingermanboy Jax is a moody fucking emo pussy. i swear to god i was hoping cammie would raise Abel in Belfast and teach him to make bombs or next generation gun dealer to the Sons. Jax always whining about the direction the club is going. booohooo, poor biker vp of the club can't find himself. gimme a break. Great song though and feel bad for cammie. I hope they kill that cunt Stahl.

  • One person's dad tried to kill him.

  • @unvorsum "Dad" is short for "Bagdad", though.

  • @okvaal That's what I meant too. Read between the lines, man.

  • @unvorsum Sorry, didn't get that.

  • Sons of fucking Anarchy.

  • totally thought it was death's gonna kill me. anyhow, was one of the best tunes from soa so far, very stirring.

  • @simonx49 haha me too bro. this song sent chills down my spine, specially when jax was fucking that dudes face up on the pavement lol.

  • @Lockesmith9 Ohmigosh so it wasn't just me.

  • bloody great song.... who gives a fuk how people come to his music...... mr thompson could keep me going songs forever, check out people doing his covers, like husker du and rem on the album, beat the retreat....... fekn brilliant, i love them all

  • Heard this song for the first time on Sons of Anarcy....Awesome! have to buy his album now....What a great artist.

  • btw : fucking useless war... ><

  • lol i'm too coming from SOA ^^

well i least, we're not part of the people who heard the song and DIDN'T came here

  • Does it matter how people got here once they got here

  • This is a great song and SOA is the best show on t.v

  • Where can i get the mp3 guys? thanks

  • Heya SOA-->Richard Thompson people, it's sad it took SOA to bring you here, because it's sad that you hadn't had exposure to him from other places before this. :D Good on you all for searching it up on here, and htornis, cheers for the song! Thank god for TV shows like this having great music on them really, I myself had heard of Richard Thompson before this sure, but everyone (including me) finds so much more great music from TV shows/films etc. than they would otherwise.

  • one of the best scenes from season 3

  • @chuggaluggaful i think its perfect soa brought me here, i dont have time to find out about music all my friends listen to let alone something nobody i know listens to. Thank god for sons for showing me music like this so idont have to suffer with the likes of britney spears and chris brown!

  • Actually i knew him from SOA

  • so badass!

  • Wow I thought this was Richard Thompson when I first heard it! Oh, hey, it is Richard Thomson! I am so smart! What a stupid song. Who sings about the ridiculous, idiotic, stupidity of going to war with the stench of rotting corpses and the horror of killing people just because you can??? It must be Richard Thompson!

But seriously - THANKS FOR POSTING THIS SONG! Richard still rocks and still writes great songs about the ironies and sicknesses of the human condition. THANKS RICHARD! I love you!

  • @ujean56 He's a good deal more succinct than you are.

  • @mink61 Hi Mink, thanks for your comment. Now kiss my butt. How's that for succinct?

  • @ujean56 Vulgarity as well....will the surprises never end?

  • @mink61 Hi again mink61. I am sure there's something on TV that's far less offensive. Enjoy!

  • I don't get why people get so elitist about a show or other "mainstream" method bringing people to a band. You would think a true fan would be happy that the band has gained popularity and more people have been exposed to them.

  • I looked this up cause i thought it was nick cave as well

  • I gotta admit, i also came here because of SoA, but after listening to the song while reading the lyrics, i gotta admit..its a very powerful song in its own right, love the topic it covers. Great song

  • χαλαρα νομιζα οτι ηταν ο Nick Cave ομως ...γαματο τραγουδι

  • Made the think of Jax beating that Calavares punk ass to a bloody pulp beginning of season 3. Love SoA!

  • heard this song before soa but now everytime i hear it i see jax smashing dudes face in the street

  • R.I.P Hale, we miss you

  • @lesoway1234 samcro means sons of anarchy motorcycle club red wood original

  • Vincent Black Lightning. found me RT. Being a vet from various war torn shitholes around this mad mad world, this track found an intstant connection with me.

  • For the love of god does it matter in what way a person hears of a song and learns to love it? If you heard it on the radio and came to this link why is that any different from hearing out a T.V show?

  • i dont understand what samcro means yet

  • @lesoway1234 Sons of Anarchy Motorcycle Club Redwood Original

  • @paulspooner1 sons of anarchy motorcyles charming redwood original....trust me

  • @lesoway1234

Sons of Anarchy Motorcycle Club, Redwood Original

  • R.I.P Half-Sack!

  • I just watched the episode, GODDAMNIT! That was bad :(

  • This song made pick up the guitar i haven't touched in years! great song!!

  • @verloren82 i am glad to hear that

  • When's the new SOA season starting?

  • Heard this furst time at Sons Of Anarchy. Rly Good song:)

  • What the hell is SOA?

  • @LazgomaN1 Sons Of Anarchy, Samcro. good tv show.

  • @Extremeaaron23 Thanks. I will check it out.

  • if you love SAMCRO thumbs up!!!!! :))

  • I know my dad watches that show I got to say great song how they use it in the show is badass

  • Wow just found this song and artist he really good. And to think I would have missed this if not for rewatching ep. one of Soa.

  • R.I.P Hale

  • didnt this guy have something to do with billy and mandy i know its stupid but this sounds like the brain singing about eating smaller brains

  • @dustin4991 That song you're thinking of is ca;;ed "Brains" It's by Gothic Artist Voltaire. Another great talent

  • Oh jax whooped the **** out of the calavaras when this song came on. Love SOA so much!!

  • This music is just awesome, but if SOA brought so many people here, it means they are doing a hell of a good job with the show :)

  • i think its sad it took SOA to bring u guys here. richard thompson is a genius songwriter and guitarist. i do love SAMCRO though.

  • @chuggaluggaful hey, better late than never.

  • @htornis true true. the guy is heavy as shit tho. every song is deeper then a fat hookers vaj.

  • @chuggaluggaful very glad S.O.A. brought me here. Discovered a great talent.

  • @chuggaluggaful well, maybe so, but... that's a way, too, yeah? it really is better late than never

  • @chuggaluggaful Thank God for SoA, I would have never heard this MASTERPIECE.

  • @chuggaluggaful this comment really annoys me. This is how you discover things, by watching something related or bumping into something unintentionally, or when someone else shows something to you. Nobody has ever showed this to me, and I've never bumped into it randomly, however I watched SOA and here I am. Now you're sad that people are discovering this? I thought you liked this guy.

  • @chuggaluggaful well u gotta find it somewhere?

  • @chuggaluggaful

I would've probably never heard of this song but I heard it on SOA and tracked it down by the lyrics, found it on several tubes and for about a month I had it open in a window somewhere, smackin play when it stopped.

  • @chuggaluggaful Yea but now people who hadn't heard of RT before SOA know about him and will probably click on a few other links and be exposed to more of his work (if you're one of these people look up beeswing and Black Lightning)

  • @chuggaluggaful yeah i admit i only found this on SOA but now iv listened
