In another video when asked what is the quran, he saids that the quran is the word of God given to mohamed during a period of 20 some years. On this video he saids that Jesus is the word of God come down in the flesh. Am I hearing this correctly? I disagree, Christ's words in John 8 are a clear claim of his own divinity. The Jews understood God's name JHWH to mean "I AM". The thing is, the NT was written in Greek, but Jesus probably spoke Aramaic - a Semitic tongue very close to the Hebrew by which God revealed himself to Moses as I AM THAT I AM. So his "I Am" proclamations likely sounded very much like the tetragrammaton.
At any rate, it's clear that Jesus' meaning was not lost on the Jews, for they understood that he claimed equality with God (John 5:18)

Come on, twm, be honest w/ yourself. Your point was that Jesus said none are good except God alone. I pointed out that Jesus called himself the Good Shepherd.
As I mentioned, he did not expressly say to worship him, but neither did he rebuke his disciples for worshipping him (Matthew 14:33; 28:9,17; Luke 24:52; John 20:28). The Bible says that the wise men came to worship him (Mt 2;2, 11), as did a blind man (John 9:38), and a leper (Mt 8:2), and a synagogue official (Mt 9:18), a Canaanite woman (Mt15:25), the mother of two of his disciples (Mt 20:20). Hebrews 1:6 says that even the angels worship him!
Besides the verses I already mentioned, there is more support in the Bible about the divinity of Jesus and the RIGHTNESS of worshiping him. Take for instance the glory of the Lamb in heaven as revealed in the Revelation in chapters 7, 8, 12, 13, 14, 15, 17, 19 and 21.
When the baptizer saw Jesus coming to be baptized, he proclaimed "Behold, the Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world!" (John 1:29) John says he existed before him, yet John was born before Jesus. see Micah 5:2

I don't worship a dead man on a cross, I worship a risen Savior - God Incarnate who has defeated death through his sinless life and his resurrection. twm, if this is so, it's what the Bible calls taking God's name in vain. As a teacher, Jesus would have rebuked his disciple for such wrongful use of God's name. Yes, we ARE accountable for our own sins, nor do we put the blame on anybody other than ourselves. But we do realize that sin's just penalty is death. In another video when asked what is the quran, he saids that the quran is the word of God given to mohamed during a period of 20 some years. On this video he saids that Jesus is the word of God come down in the flesh. Am I hearing this correctly? He believes that the word of God can become flesh but he has a hard time believing that God Himself can come down as a man? OK. Large differences were noticed, so a final version was edited, released to the world and all competing copies were ordered destroyed. There you have the "miracle" of the Koran!

I disagree, Christ's words in John 8 are a clear claim of his own divinity. The Jews understood God's name JHWH to mean "I AM". This is the claim that Jesus makes all throughout John's gospel, i.e., that he is the great I AM, and is why he said "unless you believe that I AM he, you will die in your sins." and again, "before Abraham was, I AM".

(cont'd) Not quite correct here - verses 18 and 19 reflect the truth that the Father and the Son are two distinct persons. Orthodox Christianity has never disputed this fact. However, we acknowledge that both thre Father and the Son, along with the Holy Spirit are three distinct persons of the Godhead named YHWH. The thing is, the NT was written in Greek, but Jesus probably spoke Aramaic - a Semitic tongue very close to the Hebrew by which God revealed himself to Moses as I AM THAT I AM. So his "I Am" proclamations likely sounded very much like the tetragrammaton.
At any rate, it's clear that Jesus' meaning was not lost on the Jews, for they understood that he claimed equality with God (John 5:18)

Besides the verses I already mentioned, there is more support in the Bible about the divinity of Jesus and the RIGHTNESS of worshiping him. Take for instance the glory of the Lamb in heaven as revealed in the Revelation in chapters 7, 8, 12, 13, 14, 15, 17, 19 and 21.
When the baptizer saw Jesus coming to be baptized, he proclaimed "Behold, the Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world!" (John 1:29) John says he existed before him, yet John was born before Jesus. see Micah 5:2

I don't worship a dead man on a cross, I worship a risen Savior - God Incarnate who has defeated death through his sinless life and his resurrection. twm, if this is so, it's what the Bible calls taking God's name in vain. As a teacher, Jesus would have rebuked his disciple for such wrongful use of God's name. let me shed some logic onto you. Lets say you live your life according to a religion and you die and find out that you were right. Good. You live your life according to religion and you die and God doesnt exist. Still good cz you literally cant care. You live your life without religion and you die and find out your wrong. Bad. You go to hell. If your right then you still cannot care, LITERALLY! So if you want to follow logic and probability then there you go...find a religoin and stick to it!

Its your life and you choose how to live it. It doesnt affect me. My life wouldnt change the slightest if you were to convert to Islam.

Thanks for the differnt perspective. I don't believe there is a hell and don't fear it. I just see that there are thousands of religions that say they know the truth and they know what is going to happen. It's like the lottery. If you choose the right one you will make it. I wish you the best. I don't have anything against your belief. It's just a differnt point of view from mine. . I feel that we as humans can tell right from wrong and still want to treat eachother with respect,.

Yusha Evans said that we need to be open-minded and seek God and his guidance. That's very good. But he himself didn't search that way and wasn't open-minded. Because if he was, he wouldn't had converted to Islam, but would had stayed in Christianity and would let God do the work in him like all Christians experienced. Anyone can say that they are or was a Christian. But if they haven't experienced God in any way, then there is a chance they were never truly open-minded and Christians.
