It took me a while, but I now have the comic these guys created their name from. It's Daredevil # 77 from about 1970. There's an alien structure in the story that resembles a giant teardrop. Then, halfway through... the 'teardrop' explodes!

Believe me this video was expensive!!! None of it makes sense atall and Balfe looked as though he was about to pass out. Heavy drugs time for the Teardrops at this point and sadly the band were only heading in one direction via various directions... 'Wilder' is first class and deserves reappraisal!

Trust me them only Cope recorded before drugs was the Sleeping Gas and Treason singles. This album, according to his book, was hard to record due to the amphetamines f-ing his voice up! I love the man regardless of anything. His autobiographies 'Head-On' and 'Repossessed' are essential to read for anyone who loves music and life.

I remember one of my cousins bought the Wilden album (on cassette) in 1982 and gave it a good thrashing. Good video. First time I've seen a Teardrops vid. Nice to hear horns, guitars, real instruments. I got sick of hearing the synth by the late 1980s.
