jamrocboy yes there is always music playin in those big loud speakers in maypen all around the year on the side of the streets & in cars woooooooow memories...
I live in Holland now, but its nice seeing where my parents grew up. Clarendon is nice for a few days, but I think I would rather live elsewhere if I had to live in JA.
I have always wanted to know as much as I could about May Pen. My mother was born and raised there until she came to America. She died at 94 - two years ago. This is good - at least for me - it gives a little insight.
Its good to see May Pen again. The last time I was there was in 1985. (smile) I see some places I remember. My first school-May Pen Infant School, the church I attended Bethel Temple. The V-clip stopped infront of a friend of my family who died afew months ago.
heywood1991.. YOU use to go a Ms Dennis school, I use to go there before it was even a proper school, just doing evening classes getting ready for common entrance.. bless mi May pen ppl dem
Clarendon Jamaica the place where I'm from. Clarendon is like the most vibrant place in the world, you always hear loud music playing in buses, taxis, the streets, everywhere. Clarendon to me is the best place to be in Christmas especially on Grandmarket night. I miss the Denbigh Showground over there, but anyway Clarendon I'll visit you soon.
I'm from Clarendon too, i spent 10 years of my life going to Foundation Preparatory school and I agree with you, I love that place despite its bumps and brusies.
