  • Hmm, well, at least he had his plan laid out and was friendly with the question and seemingly quite firm with what he was "laying out", good interview.

  • You can have standards and varying processes. Confidentiality is a standard, for example, that could be achieved in variety of ways. This is an intelligent argument that Dodd makes, with an oddly Republican slant of states' rights, but it definitely falls short of being an actual plan.

    Planning to have standards is not a plan. Otherwise, I'd have a much better girlfriend by now.

  • How can you have common standards without having a common system. Since this person governs the whole people, shouldn't he or she be elected with a system that is uniform for all of the people. Not to take away state's rights, these votes are national - We should get this one right, it should be consistent, and we should all have the same system.
