  • Great Video! Been playing with the FM LEOS and like the SSB transponders better. How many signals can occupy the transponder passband at the same time?

  • @k6fq Thank You for the comment. I have heard up to 10 QSO going on during the one pass with the SSB birds. There is around 10 KHz of space so plenty of room, sometimes if its really busy you may drift into/up on to someone elses QSO but apart from that the SSB Sats are the best ;-)

  • Hi Simon, another nice sat demosntration!

When I played with HamRadioDeluxe (Sat module), I saw there feature for automatic tuning via CAT upon computed doppler QRG versus real sat possition. Maybe it could be useful. GL es 73! Tomas

  • Hi Tomas,

Tnx again, I have seen the HRD programme and also have it installed. Nice programme! I prefer to manually adjust the uplink to keep on the same frequency rather than wandering up the bands.

Best 73 see you on Twitter.

  • lol@CBRADIOLOVER... the Cobra 142! that's a toy with a whole 4W - 12W output! CB was fun, but not that much fun!

  • I agree, I used to love CB in the early days it was unbeatable at the time and still is ok for folks who are content with CB. But I dont use it these days and cant see myself stepping back in time.

    Thanks again and 73!

  • Nice job simon... next should be a G5000 rotator and a PC interface then there'll be no stopping you! Still having fun at this end on FM with my home brew crossed 8/4 yagi and handhelds. 73 - Rob VK2GOM

  • Hi Rob, sorry I did not get back to your last msg. I gave a couple of Shouts through your repeator. will try agn soon.

I would love a G5000 but I am still thinking over a pneumatic ram idea Id like to try one day. (too tight to part with money) lol.

Glad to hear your still playing hard, catch you on 20M with a bit of luck soon.

  • Thank You, I like the SSB SATs the best, as you get lots of Stations rather than one at a time like the FM birds.

    All the best.

  • Quite interesting! That first guy was quite hard to copy and you did a good job. Always enjoy your videos!

  • Tnx for commenting, glad you liked it. It can be tricky at times but always fun.
