i agree. i used to bboy, but i was getting nowhere, then i started freestyling one day and just stuck with it. i enjoy freestyle/newstyle hip-hop dance...it definitely shows more originality than anything (not saying that b-boying doesn't) :-D
I guess the "shucks" or the fact that the crowd couldn't be more dead didn't clue you in on the sarcasm. Bboying has much more difficulty and athleticism to the dance. I think it's far more technically impressive than newstyle. It's just more intricate and difficult to notice nuances in footwork than it is to notice style differences in newstyle.
