Remember how these actors need to take characters that are already established with other actors. In this respect, I love these versions as much as the originals, though it is bloody fast, guess it is meant to be funny for Mrs O, but made more sense if it was a slow increase of speed than just 'bloody hell this is quick'.

I think this one is all a bit over done - there is no comparison to the original cast! The original company were sublime - this cast is trying to hard - it has no effect!

this is way to fast the fun of the original is that they refuse to speed up an carry on obliviously.the trouble of the tour version is that they couldnt get the original stars to do it so it was obviously never going to be as good.

I love Sally aswell and saw her in a concert " The Sound of Musicals " earlier this year aswell which I travelled miles across the country to see....

She was Great and kept winking at me as I was in the front row and she at one stage pointed at me and sang a solo which was amazing!

Sally Ann Tripplet would of done a great job on tour!

I saw the show five times on tour and I was at the final performance in Cardiff which was stunning.........

Victoria Wood should be really proud of her self because the show is amazing and the songs and the fantastic choegraphy by the amazing Stephen Mears is just so upliffting and a fantastic energy comes from the stage at every single performance

I wish Victoria would bring it back to stage for another UK Tour!!!!

i met Julie Walters ( Mrs Overall ) today at a book signing she was doing for her new autobiografy " Thats another Story " and she also kindly signed some Acorn Antiques the musical leaflets for me plus she did her Mrs Overall voice for me to bless her

There are different lyrics just in the middle where it came to a stand still in the show... something about flying feet up to Yes sir I think it was changed to.

The original West-End show had "You limping John's and adipose Janes/Farewell to aches and adios pains/Just tap away your varicose veins" but I thought the tour version was "My flying feet are almost a blur/The crowds applaud and say 'Look at her!'/My lumpy legs are causing a stir! Yes sir!", however, she never got further than "My flying feet...oh..." then broke off and talked about her piles, leading to my favourite line in the show "they're like the Hanging Gardens of Babylon".

Agreed. This was the revival - the original version was slower and much better (not least because it had the 'real' cast of Acorn Antiques - i.e. Julie Walters, Celia Imrie etc.)

a lot of the lyrics are lost by it being so fast. it's a shame, because it's got some great lines. This is the only clip I've seen with this cast, and although I'd love to have seen it with Julie Walters and Celia Imrie, it's still excellent.

my freind was in the westend version and this show has VERY strict copyright laws surronding it so they cant make a recording!

sorry! I just use a dictaphone when I watch the DVD to record it on to a tape so I listen to it in the car...

I much Prefer Celia Imrie as Babs, I feel she plays the part much better, but that may be because she was the original character.

I can't believe how fast that was!! I was in the original London cast and it was never done that fast - some of Ms Woods hilarious lyrics are lost! Well done though for tapping that fast!!

Ria Jones as Mrs Overall is absolutely AMAZING - mind you wait till you get to hear her sing properly that voice is INCREDIBLE.

I've seen both the West End show and this one and both are as good as each other in my opinion - I ached for days after laughing so much.

this is good as its fast and fun! But i prefer the original cast also, they make it alot funnier and well they are the originals and you cant beat them... i mean Julie Walters, Celia Imrie are amazing and all the other cast too! however this is still good

well that is brilliant. i certainly feel that Queen Victoria has out done herself this time. I hope u all agree with me as she is fantastic and so r her comedic skills. Though I do prefer the old cast of C Imrei, S Triplett, J Walters and D Preston, i imagine that they are much funnier i hope u all agree with me???

Personally I prefered the original, perhaps because I saw it first, but I also really enjoyed this when I saw it in Darlington and I think it is very good in it's own right.

For once the provinces won out over the west end. This new production is far far better than the original. Shame they haven't produced a DVD of THIS version. I'd certainly buy it.

I wudnt agree more i saw it last saturday concidering they have ruined the actual reason of the show the new songs are goos. E.G the Karaoke one and the new opening with the Chicago Skit.

the new cast is arguably better than the original for verious reasons including the fact that they can make the dance quicker and more fun. i've seen the new one with a few people and each loved it just as much if not more than the original. go ria i say!!!!
