I agree with you about the laws of physics. The drum would probably brake. But even if it was strong enough, she would not have risen higher than she fell. She fell about 4 ft in the air or so, so if the drum was completely elastic, which it isn't, the highest she could have risen would be 4 ft and she rose a lot higher. And she would have been propelled in the opposite direction she fell. But I'm analyzing this too much for a dumb movie.
