  • get better man...I just pulled my right pectoral and been just trying to heal it up. Hurt like a bitch...was doing 315 for reps on the decline bench, hit the 4th rep and bam i felt the pull. left a nasty bruise...but the doc thinks i wont need surgery. got the MRI this weekend.

  • I hope you don't get it because it sucks big time check my channel and see how a torn pec looks like..I wish you the best of luck and less injuries

  • Gayass story

  • i tore my pec and they said it would repair with physio 9mnth later still the same so went bk to a diff hospital and the surgen i seen said he would operate so time i waited on that i got the op 12mnths after it happend,im now 7 weeks after op and getin a bit better hoping i can get bk to nearly 100%

  • Pec Tears are no joke. Once torn, you will never be the same....EVER. I tore my left one completely off at the musculotendous junction (a bad spot). Surgeon said it was like sowing two ends of a mop together. Better to tear tendon from bone. F-ing thing is now deformed for life. Be smart when training pecs heavy.

  • @DavisM6512 That's definitely a cautionary tale... how heavy were you lifting when it ruptured? Maybe I can stay with lighter weights.

  • @hawaiidispenser I was going for 385 for a single raw. I hit 365 x 2 the week before. I was working my way back up to try and top my best of 420. Basically, when you start getting old and try to hit heavy crap for low reps you are pushing it, in my opinion. Also, I let my elbows flare out a bit, thus putting the bar up my chest....which is a major no no for power.

  • @DavisM6512 Definitely some heavy weight. To avoid this, maybe I'll just stick with repping 225. :) BTW, in your other vid, you suspected it wasn't a pec tear after all... what did it turn out to be? And are you back to benching 100% now? PS - Forearms look great in this vid.

  • @hawaiidispenser This isn't my video. I don't know who BigDaveSmith1184 is. All I know is it sucks that he got hurt.

  • @DavisM6512 Whoops, sorry I got confused. :)

  • i have torn my chest muscle like yours also the left one.... on the 4th of Jan still no doctor could say that it was torn but when i went for a ultrasound they saw it was completely torn off my bone of my shoulder.... i am no going to go for surgery on the 1 March and then i am back into the gym just have to heal first

one question how have your benching been going after the surgery?

  • man...srry to hear about ur injury. i tore BOTH my shoulder muscles benching awhile ago. went from 315(then) down to less than 80lbs on flat bench. took over 9 months to heal. constant throbbing the entire time. best to just work around the injuried area. maybe do lite incline flyes and start doing pullovers when ur range of motion is acceptable to do so. good luck bro.

  • had it happend 6 weeks ago, shape and strengh is out the window, its depressing, went hotptal they just put me in a sling and said eneded time to recover, went doctors 2 days ago he said its major epc tear and is torn from the bone and will never been as strong as the otherside, he didnt reccomend surgary altho he said thats the only way to fix it, use to press 147kg now struggling on 60skg and gettingf wierd tingle in the torn area

  • My whole pectoral side went black and blue the next day after it had torn. The muscle is never the same again. Loss of symmetry and the other side slowly lost detailed shape also. Work out drastically changed to focus on other muscle groups, because the pexcs are never the same again. Loss of strength in that torn region also.

  • hey man whats going on with it ? did you need surgery?

  • You're huge man. I tore my pec only a few weeks before you did, got surgery November 4th.

How's your recovery? I was doing well, started doing pushups and last week I think I did too much. I haven't used it lately but it's been feeling weak...

  • How are you recovering?

  • I tore my pec 3 weeks ago. I went to the Dr. and luckily it wasn't a complete tear, but they took a blood test to check my Magnesium levels. they were a little low. I recommend you tell them to check your Mg levels too. id like to see if we have that in common.

  • I had surgery for a pec tear on January 30, 2008. It will be two years exactly in a few short weeks. I'm glad that is far behind me now.

  • are you now or have you ever been on steriods?

  • a fairly common injury that guys heal from ok. heal soon man!

  • U R still hot as hell...

  • *big hug* glad youre ok sexy <3 heal up soon :) sorry if it offends u comin from a guy lol xD
