For those who've read the comics, ALL their costumes are weird, not just the girls who barely wear anything. (Robin's lack of pants disturbs me...) If the artists were willing to sacrifice fashion sense for fanservice (busts are ALWAYS huge,) then that was their issue. In the show, the more time characters spend together does NOT equal a romance. Season 4 had a ton of "RobRae moments," that were actually just them helping each other through a crisis.
I think it has more to do with a fanfiction author's perspective on what makes a good story. Robin and Raven are stereotyped as the most angsty characters on the show, but with angst you can go somewhere with that. Starfire's stereotype is her dumbness, and if authors can't get out of that mindset then they don't see her as "worthy" of Robin's time. Conflict=easy romance.
And 2. No way in h3ll is she a slut. I want to know who said she was tbh. Just because she wears short skirts and tank tops because of artist's choice (the original older starfire also had some slinky clothing >_>), doesn't mean she is. Does she act like a slut on the shows? No. Again like SD said, she doesn't flaunt her attractiveness to get her way with things. We would all know when and IF she decided to act like that, which would make the show no longer tv-14. XD
1. Starfire is far from stupid. In episodes where she's actually dealing with extraterristrials and other concepts she's familiar with, she's very intelligent about things. The problem is she's oblivious with Human lifestyles and what things are on earth. Like SD said, you just can't help that when you're new to something. -

I love Starfire and shes one of my favorite characters ever.
She and Raven are my favorite Titans.
She is a very original and special character and just like all the titans extremely lovable.
I dont think i have ever seen a character similar to Starfire before in any other stuff.
I cant understand how anybody could not like her.

1. She is Annoying
2.She Pretends to be help less in some episodes so robin will like "save" her i mean you have to think about it when you watch T T episodes
