  • Thank you very much.

  • this video was made much earlier before the possible meltdown... now the situation is worse...

  • Thank you RT for having a good interview. This man is a moderate and realist.

  • @MrLee2793 Exactly, and as for REAL assistance from the U.S., it's too busy bombing yet another country to "help them" by destroying them.

  • why is russiatoday more-or-less the only media outlet, covering this story in depth. japan is one of the most media centric cizilizations on earth. and america and japan are straight up allies but american media doesn't have half the news russiatoday has wtf! i can't trust russians!!!

  • @BuBzIeNYNY The media isnt covering much. Check out leakspinner, he's been posting daily about the situation and he fully explains eveything. Peace

  • All the people worried about MOX forget that regular spent fuel has Plutonium in it from the thermal breeding of U-238 so the risk for MOX and spent are only so different

  • More World Government: excellent!

  • Safe level is 20 microRoengens, not milliRoentgens!

  • @LeadHammer "milliRoentgens" I hope it is a translation error.

  • @ImMichaelTaylor Nope, that is what he said.

  • @LeadHammer I don't speak russian, so I can't tell. I certainly don't agree that a 20 mR/h is safe for anything but very brief durations.

  • No end of the world? Ooooohhh... Too bad... Guess Jesus won't be coming now and the world will live on. Shit...(insert sarcasm)

  • Screw the U.N!!

  • Japanese are nothing but the BIG LIARs. disgusting.

  • @FilJapKiller back up your statement

  • Lying? He is negative and says the situation is very bad.. Where is he lying?

  • Fukushima is contaminating ground water because water is being used to contain it.

  • oh, heres a crazy idea,,how about hydro, wind or solar power,, oh wait,,, that cant be monopolized like this toxic stew can be. Wake the fk up people!

  • @janeledwonwonder

It's the jews, I tell you! The jews did Fukushima! Just like 9/11!

  • @CorporateG0th

    Obvious Paranoid person is obvious.

  • @TheHeavyMetalJohn i can't wait until that meme dies. along with 9/11 conspiracy theories :)

  • @janeledwonwonder

Cause the riots will achieve.. what?

Do you think if you shake your fist enough time will wind back a month and the laws of physics will be broken to make sure a nuclear fission reaction stops dead in its tracks spontaniously?

    The gub'mint did it!

  • thanks very imformative

  • ? Fukushima had spent fuel sent all over the place because they stored it on the roof.

  • @janeledwonwonder But all that said the normal level is so incredible small, X it by 100,000 is 0.50 mSv an hour and the known amount that will increase your chance of cancer by a little is 50 mSv. and thats per hour which means you would have to stand at the Fukushima power plant for about 100 hours and a bit with no radiation suit on just to get enough radiation to affect your health later on in life.

  • goes to show the fear mongering is unfounded - hell this guy should have some idea on how to advise us. nice one RT

  • Thumb down on the information...thumb up on the interviewer =D

  • Pluuuuuto-nee-um.

  • Thanks RT keep it up!

  • Awesome information! A real expert instead of Bill Nye the science guy.

  • @EssedariusMaiestas The truth is, you 2012 arsewipes are just pissed that this isn't the doomsday you were hoping for.

Life goes on. Deal with it.

  • The bastards want to keep hemp illegal so you have to keep buying their oil-based products; Crush the bastards by standing up an demanding that Hemp be legalized, unconditionally.

  • @kapuxi1000 what oil based products would hemp replace?

  • Comment removed

  • He did not talk about MOX and Plutonium, the dangers are different...

  • In any operating nuclear reactor containing U-238, some plutonium-239 will accumulate in the fuel. Reactors have a build up of plutonium 239, and the cooling pools have a lesser amount, but it is there. Since plutonium-239 is constantly being created in the reactor core during operation, the use of it as nuclear fuel in power plants can occur without reprocessing spent fuel.

In other words, the irradiation of U-238 in nuclear reactors creates plutonium239. MOX isn't the only source.

  • Japan allows for the farming of industrial hemp, but acquisition of a license to do so is very limited, thanks to the US Government forcing the occupied Japanese to sign onto a Cannabis Control Law in 1948 which, like US law, confuses cultivators of non-drug hemp with those growing medicinal marijuana and consumer cannabis.Hemp Oil can cure cancer.

  • Humanity is like a wrecking crew on steroids.

  • Comment removed

  • In Belarus, site of the original Chernobyl disaster, they are not only using the hemp to clean up the soil, they’re making money on the processing of that hemp into biofuel!

  • @kapuxi1000 Chernobyl is Ukraine not Belarus

  • This guy apparently didn't get enough radiation at Chernobyl. He is still nuke-hugging.

He claims that it was the first generation nuke plant at Fukushima? So what? It doesn't matter. The cooling system was shut down by tsunami, so any plant would fail.

Maybe that guy was one of the experts who told Gorbachev that Chernobyl reactor would be back in service by May or June (after having been blown up in April). :)

  • And what generation of nuke plant stores nuke waste above the reactor itself? I think every one of them. :)

  • Those spent fuel rods that got blow a thousand feet into the air probably is what they should be talking about

  • Was that guy insinuating that bc someone drank alcohol b4 exposure they were saved?? Hell, in Russia that's half the population

  • @WarRogers then we survive - you not :) Lol. Stop bying this stereotypes, nobody drinking vodka here so bad. I can prove it because im from Russia and you didnt even were here, so how could you know?

  • Duhhhhh? Obviously nuclear disaster is the discharge of radiation. No wonder this industry is such a disaster if idiots like this are the experts. Is the obvious to all of us all that these experts know?

  • @klard Not only is that statement wrong, that's not even what he said. Worse yet, you agree with it enough to label it as obvious. You should just put your key board down and go home.

  • @hozehd : Listen at 3:32. You should know something before throwing insults around. I don't have your time to troll around the comments making petty insults. Some of us have jobs.

  • @klard Right at 3:32 he say "Discharge of nuclear fuel" not discharge of radiation. You are just too stupid to know the difference. I just hope you don't have some kind of important job where you can kill or maim people with your ignorance.

  • @klard Notice I didn't use any insults until after your stupid punk ass accused me of it.

  • US army uses depleted uranium on peole every day in Iraq in Afghanistan in Pakistan and now in Libya( to help people,LOL). Children in Iraq now are born with deformeties due to mutation. I wonder how many tons of DU, US have dumped on this planet. Japan apears to be an accident, but USA does this every day very well, knowing the dangers of DU.World leaders are all insane for using this stuff .They know the half time life of DU and mox.Stop A-plants and wars . Now.

  • oh come on, if you read between his lines he's saying: "Everything is under control, Atomic eneregy production is safe and effcient."

    Give me a break.

  • 20 years passed and they still use water and sand!

  • when Chernobyl's disaster happened they contacted NASA to get some suits that the Apollo ast used, when the manufacturing plant, told Russia those suits do not protect from radiation, isn't that funny, so that means nobody ever left our atmosphere.

  • @MrLee2793 lol they dont have 650,000 people people because they cant fit that many people there :L

  • Unfortunately even now so many years after Chernobyl we still don't have robots that can do the vital mitigation work that men are doing at Fukushima. They are still being put at great risk and subject to dangerous levels of radiation.

  • The used reactor cores were stored on top of the reactors, Outside the main containment facility . When they blow up where do you think 40 years of rods blew? I'd say straight up.This is 100 times worse than Chernobyl .

  • Did I just die and wake up on planet retardation? 40 years of nuke power 35 recorded accidents an accident about every 1.6 years. Not a problem it was just because of an earth quake. Which just so happen to happen all over the planet probably around once a month. If you cant see the big ass pink elephant in the room then you obviously must have ate to many radioactive Pyscodelic Mushrooms. either that or sombody gave you a labotomy

  • this is even worse than Chernobyl but were just getting lied upon beeen already 3 weeks!! Those workers are gona die of internal bleeding + and thats just in ---- March 27:

Workers flee Japan nuclear plant as false readings say radiation levels are 10 MILLION times higher than normal

  • Yup, we know it was a mess but do you know anyone who were arrested and really paid for their recklessness, As always if you murder one you are regarded criminal, if you murder several – just serial psycho, thousands–you get away with it. What a joke, the basic Human Rights are spit on and noone even gives a shit and just talks talks talks. If you really care–start beheading those bastards who lead to Chernobyl and then concealed it, the same about Japan. Any other way it doesnt matter

  • 6:20 - If in Japan there are no discharges outside of the buildings?!

Has he been living under a rock?

  • @iamgoddard he is talking about nuclear fuel and parts of reactor outside the buildind ,and that didnt happent,he says that few secs later

  • @astifan1

    I don't read, "If a, if b or c," to imply a = 'b or c'.

But I would read the clarification, "If a, which is to say if b or c," to mean a = 'b or c'.

But then we're only hearing what a translator is quickly interrupting, which can't be expected to be perfect.

  • Well done

  • wow rt you are standing on news. lets say people do things for money----then if someone comes out with another way to get that money well thats something to go to war over. and i think also girls are another reason to go to war,i think that all people should start each conversation with the word war then pussy then more war and better pussy, then more war then more pussy then more war then more pussy then big bang thery boom start over agin.

  • I am just worried about the impact on the ocean and nature in general. Humans are a plague of Planet Earth and deserve what comes to them.

  • wonder how much the Globalists paid this tech monkey to spew this bullshit. The plutonium alone will make the effects felt world wide. But he does give himself an out "unless fuel discharged" ...Buddy it all ready has :-/

  • I sure hope this guy is right.

  • poor pacific ocean :(

  • @nRADRUS not just pacific, all oceans are one. no more fish for me ;-(

  • 04:28 - Question on a containment building

Lst in translation / bad editing - The answers about the UN!

  • This video and this guy is full of shit. Already it's worse in terms of how much radiatian has actually been released. There are so much more radioactive materials in the first 4 reactor, which are still in a stage of meltdown with core breaches now reported at the third reactor which has spiked levels of radiation to thousands of levels above normal and that's the reactor with uranium and weapons grade plutonium. This is only the beginning to. Children are still getting leukemia cuzofChernobyl

  • if the reactors are intact then how the fuck are they gettin the water in from a fire trucks & helicopters ??

  • In the three mile, There are still so many deformed living.

For example, two head cows, dandelion with huge leaf, strange colored flowers and so on... Next Fukushima

  • Damn, where do I buy me a Geiger counter?

  • @renumeratedfrog In your mom´s whore-house he

  • hydrogen is the future ,we live on a planet that is 75% water its a no brainer.

  • Check out what Dr. Alexei Yablokov has to say about the comparison between Chernobyl and Fukushima. It's not as optimistic as what Evgeny Akimov has to say.

  • chernobyl catastroff

  • @Dragracermarine

    US credo :

    Fight debt with more debt

    Fight war with more war

Fight nuclear plants with more nuclear plants

    you'll prove wrong.

  • @envanje in what way does this have anything to do with the u.s.?

  • @username0u812ic

because the US is notorious to solve problems by enlarging them.

  • @envanje this NATURAL disaster has nothing to do with the united states moron!

  • @username0u812ic Your so fucking stupid it hurts, I had to waste time on a dumb shit like yourself ... Look it up ya dumb fuck!

  • @username0u812ic

a US user was propagating new and bigger nuclear plants which fits in the US philosophy to fight problems with more problems, moron ! - blocked !

  • @envanje You're right , pay no attention.

  • "there will be nothing to fear, everything will be peaceful and quite"..then....." don't come into the open..., put on your respirators..., change your protective clothing"

  • @hoosierhiver ...yeah, we got lots of hot particles(up to hundreds KBq) from Chernobyl...don't inhale them...just stop breathing, it helps

  • stop shitting in your space suit, planet earth

  • @RealBulldust

    well said !

  • his solution probably consists of dumping massive quantities of vodka on the facilities

  • @stupaod thatd just be a waste of good vodka

  • 5:30 i would of liked an explination on how that guy survived radiation poisoning from drinking alcohol?

  • @Blado1988 probably that drunkard caused the accident

  • thyroid cancer rates have nearly tripled since 1986 all over the world...WHY?

  • Just build Geothermical energie, like other nations, SAME energy output, NO danger, CAN run FOREVER.

    whyyyy nuclear....

  • @DragonBaine ... agreed !

  • Bloom boxes, the size of your coffee maker can power your house. There are many clean energy if you look. Stop supporting these toxic energy, that will one day render the Earth inhabitable. In the vastness of space...there is only ONE fragile, lonely planet Earth... it is YOUR HOME.

  • These reactors need government subsidies, or coal fired plant to even exist. Not efficient at all. The truth about zer0 point energy is also quashed by the oil industry.

  • Chernobyl disaster is still a massive disaster and will be for thousands of years.....Chill with the bullshit this is a BIG disaster.

  • thankyou rt for showing us these films.i am from my town in japan my frather i saw him in hsopital because of contamination i have been really upset because he died I stayed with him till the last moments he waved to me while his eyes suddenly rolled inwardly cross eyed and they stayed open i am scared of this , radiation so shamed my family.I think he got an erection

  • @1111tsukiko I feel sorry for you. May your father Rest In Peace. And don't be worried about others people opinions, be strong. My condolosenceto you and your family. Be strong.

  • @80136060

I don't know if he was being serious since he said his father had an erection at the end

  • Are you fucking kidding me? Reactor 3 with the MOX fuel which has plutonium in it already blew. We saw the video. And if that's not bad enough they stored the spent fuel rods on top of the reactor. you could see the debris falling in the video. There are confirmed reports that reactor 3 is leaking radiation, it's cracked! Radiation levels around the plant at 1000 times normal. I was looking at RT as a credible source of info. after this I think not. This is Bullshit!

  • What was dangourus about Chernobyl disaster was that if the liquied radioactive lava had melted all the way under the plant into the big underground river that Chernobyl Nuclear plant was built over which the river led out to the ocean. If they didn't stop it the whole world would be radioactive and more then a billion would have died. Fukushima is nothing close to Chernobyl disaster.

  • @SMGJohn

since Chernobyl did not melt down into the ground this is NOT what people are referring to when they refer to the Chernobyl disaster

they are referring to it blowing its load into the atmosphere

Fukushima is different than Chernobyl and potentially much worse for different reasons

  • a good film about Transhumanism/Neo-Eugenics for anyone who cares:

    /watch?v=AdzepK-LVtU

  • "To alcohol! The cause of and solution to all of life's problems"

    Homer Simpson

  • @Jogeta5 Bullets solves everything!

  • Comment removed

  • Chernobyl: reactor exploded and rod pieces all over the place

  • FUCKING LIAR!

  • If the reactor is melting down the problem will solve itself in short time by the reactor melting itself away, just like the snow.

  • @envanje

so many people acting as disinformation agents these days

I know what you're about simply based on your favourite movie listings

    you're probably a transhumanist

transhumanist's do NOT want people to question potentially dangerous technologies when they want us to merge with machines...

    freaks lol....

  • @stupaod

Don't know the definition fo a "transhumanist" but I'll look it up.

I myself work with a machine all day long, it's called a computer, and my health has been harmed by that machine which dictates me what to do and in how much time.

In fact I'm an anti-machine humanist though I admit my comments may be confusing, take them just as a reflex of my maltreated mind and soul.

I admit, I'm mad, though not more mad as any other person.

  • @envanje

    ohhh

    you were being sarcastic?

    I apologize if you were

  • @stupaod

OK, I looked up the definition of a transhumanist and I can assure you I'm exactly the opposite.

    Have a nice day !

  • @envanje

    ok thats good to hear

  • he drank some alcohol :D :D 5:38 lol

  • The best interview I've seen in regards to this event.

  • @joel1923

based on what? him telling you exactly what you want to hear?

I don't know how bad it is and neither you do but its very odd to me that no one is addressing the spent fuel rods above the MOX when the containment building was blown apart

  • AND not to mention chernobyl only had 800 tonnes of fuel, fukushima has 1700+

  • This is bs, miner explosions my ass. And tepco's already admitted to 2 breaches in the reactor containment vessel. Guess nobody in the media wants to mention ICELAND is picking up higher levels of radiation..as of like 3 days ago, that shits already floating in the jetstream.

  • Like Einstein said long ago: THIS IS ONE HELL OF A WAY TO HEAT WATER!!! Give it up and this utter stupidity on NUKE POWER. Anyway I doubt seriously if this cock sucker is telling you the truth like everyone else who works on these projects. Hey lets let him drink the water and see what he says.

  • remember to drink alcohol

  • @rheographics Bottoms (urp) up!

  • @Dragracermarine what about them? fuck them. they're the reason why we haven't moved on to other ways of life. they have invested interest in our current way of life, but they're only the upper 1%. The rest are mediocre or the poorest of the poor. So the upper 1% is gonna do whatever they can to keep things the way they are, when really, we need to change, and fast. so fuck the people with all the money.

  • Ah-hum........who is this guy? First, they lied for weeks about any leak, then couldn't contain it until they buried it in concrete and lead........and you want to listen to him?? The "peaceful atom" as it's called, is nothing but disaster waiting to happen everywhere......PERIOD......clean coal and solar energy is a viable alternative, but, the only reason they don't convert to it is because It won't fuel their WAR MACHINES!!! WAKE UP!

  • Japaneses and yanks hide real information about disaster at Fukushima.

This is worse than Chernobil . At Chernobyl nuclear power plant accident happened at only one reactor. In Japan there are four destroyed reactors .

  • "A lack of information breeds panic"

Sounds exactly what TEPCO is doing...

  • this isn't good for the fear mongers.

  • This disaster is yet to unfold

In case of a meltdown, there are 6 reactors and 8 waist loads waiting to cause trouble, with wind from the northeast Tokio will be a ghost town

  • this is the best interview i have seen on this matter.

  • @SheHasALovelyMinge no but clearly you are /watch?v=-YajVCsfdo8

  • @SheHasALovelyMinge

if the spent fuel rods were caught up in the hydrogen explosion in the MOX reactor then the ocean is now filled with particles of Uranium and Plutonium

nobody knows how bad this is yet cause its too early

downplaying the significance of this is not going to help anyone

I say be extra vigilant and hope for the best

  • Stop lying, tons of spent fuel rods have being already burned and the rest is melting.

This is far worst than Cernobyl and it is GLOBAL.

    .

  • Comment removed

  • @Arbiter11723

and you know this how exactly? are you there measuring the radiation levels with a knowledge of what exactly has happened with the spent fuel rods? this isn't even over yet and you think you can make a claim that Chernobyl was worse?

    you know nothing

  • @Arbiter11723 I guess your arguments are only insults.

Research how much fuel was in Chernobyl and than compare to the amount contained in etch one of the the 6 reactors before they was blown up.

Research also where the spent fuel rods where located in the BLOWN REACTORS and do your calculation

    Wake up sheep

  • Comment removed

  • @Arbiter11723

    neither did yours

at least some of us are not so stupid to just pass this off as a non event now when the meltdown is ongoing, with no one addressing what happened to the spent fuel rods stored above the MOX

look at pictures of the building, sure looks like those rods most likely were blown into the air

  • imagine having that yellow rain run out of your nose all day...

  • the energy problem is solvable

the problem is that the technology would allow everyone to have free energy(so they make no money) and people would possess a potentially dangerous capacity...

since they have stirred up all these prejudices, hate and insanity, man is not responsible enough to possess this tech

its a trickle down effect from the corruption at the top

  • The cheep oil and coal is what allowed this atomic steam engine production to happen. The only way to make these monuments to stupidity it to waist all the resource that should go to humanity and instead use them for the task of building these. This is much like all the natural resources waisted on moon shots and MAD build up. Nukes use up more power then they ever produce even before they melt down and blow up. After they just suck up all the resources.

  • first time I see her and I already love that Natalia Novikova.

hello Natalia, how are you doIng ?

  • I. FUCKING. HATE. MONEY.

  • @crailberry

Me too, I hate MONEY unless I become RICH

  • @racenemo exactly. this money system we have only benefits the ones who have all the money. that's the upper 1%. and they're gonna do whatever they can keep things the way they are. when really we need to make big changes, and fast. money fucks the world up, literally. and this fukushima ordeal is a prime example. If it wasn't for money and the greed it creates, we would have gotten rid of nuclear energy a long time ago, and moved onto a much better, safer source of energy.

  • @racenemo and the same thing can be said about fossil fuels. If the oil companies weren't so fucked up in the head, we would've moved onto another means of power, like electricity, or whatever sort of new advanced technology they have under wraps, instead of fucking up the atmosphere with our emissions. But noooooo, heaven forbid! Electric cars would put the oil companies out of business! Nobody would spend money on gasoline anymore! We can't have that! We better keep fucking up the earth! sigh.

  • I trust this whole Fukushima story has been blown up by the media to all parts of the world while in reality there's just a small detail to be solved.

  • Keep dancing with on the sun.... just keep dancing

  • we could have had free energy years ago

free energy was suppressed and instead we have an uncontrollable toxic mess

thats what happens when greed outweighs the good of man and humanity is getting what it deserves(one way or another)

  • i'm telling you that all this could have been avoided. The truth on nukes is "you don't need them" & they seem toxic. If you want a 3 ring circus where you get killed for "the fun of it" then by all means build some more nuke plants. There is another option that involves efficiency and "no heat chucking tech" like we use now. Some people pretty much erased pneumatic storage and power, as well as the steam engine and water storage of energy. It is just using heat and fuel about 20 x better.
