Guy from Shop: $88, with Super Mario Bros.

Me: $HUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY!

  • 7:51

Due to games like Super Mario Bros. 3 and Shadowgate...

...Shadowgate? Really? I'm surprised Shadowgate hasn't been on AVGN it's so bad. There should be laws against putting those two in the same category.

  • Nintendo: Now your playing with infidelity lol.

  • NINTENDO IS SOOOO BOOOOSSSS!!!!!!!!!!! :D

  • 8:58 Bear Hugger-"NEED A HUG?!"

  • sonic is better then mario

  • @blocklandman0815 Oh please give it up. Nintendo and Mario brought back a dead market just accept it

  • i dislike this video because i hate nintendo

  • @blocklandman0815 then why are you here

  • sgea is better

  • Nintendo kept quality control with it's lock-out chip and seal. But when you look at the P.O.S. games that came out for it. It makes you wonder. If these games were good enough for the seal, how bad were the games that didn't?

  • @Sunkincid

In some cases, it was a matter of who could afford the licensing fee in order to get that seal on the cartridge.

  • snes is best

  • if nintendo pissed off miyamoto, he'd go to other companies and make other masterpieces.

  • WHAT IS THE SoNG AT 4.55???

  • I hate nintendo cause it betrayed SONY,!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Die in hell Nintendo!!!!!

  • @mexicandude911 if you hate it than why would you want it to be in the same place when YOU die.

  • Funny how Sega and Nintendo were at each other's throats back in the 90s and now Sega is basically owned by Nintendo Sega went from being Nintendo's rival to being Nintendo's bitch

  • 316 people took what people thought as a suicidal dive

  • Graphics!!!

  • seriously whats wrong with this playstation fanboys....nintendo consoles are pure fun....in most of the nintendo games you can see that they put love in there game.....sony and microsoft are only greedy fucktard companies

  • @StarWarsUnited123 I love both Nintendo and Sony

  • @RonCrafton1989 and i dont have anything against that, but i hate it when this sony fanboys are bashing nintendo for no reason....

  • @StarWarsUnited123 I know what ya mean but for me its the 360 fanboys. To me they are the worst.

  • @StarWarsUnited123 BTW constantly rereleasing old games isn't fun and purposely taking out the gba slot on the dsi and making the ds lineup more fragile to breaking so they cant rerealse gba on eshop and buy another ds that is greed. I remember they use to built gameboys tough and had backwards compatibility for 4 consoles not anymore.

  • @dukenukem710 thats the same at sony and microsoft...most of the producst are copied from nintendo....(kinect, move) ....without nintendo the sony ps wouldnt excist....a fact and you know why? cause sony was working with nintendo for a console with a cd drive...nintendo was a important part for the ps 1....in the end they decided to make a console without a cd drive...

  • I think atari made tengen because they were regretful,stubborn...

  • Oh Tengen, Nintendo was not gonna fall for the same trap you did.

  • the legend of zelda and super mario bros 3 are two of the best games on the NES and i love the game genie

  • FUCK U SONY FORGET SONY.. BTW SONY MAKES 3RD PARTY MONEY. WITHOUT NINTENDO VIDEO GAMES WOULD NOT BE A MEDIA PHENOM=UNLIKE SONY WHO HAS TO WAIT TO SEE WHAT NINTY INVENT=GAME CRASH.

SONY ONLY MADE SHIT & BLURAY.REMEMBER THERE PS3 BOOMERANG CONTROLLER UNTILL THEY SAW THE WII REMOTE AND BINNED IT HA HA DICKS.

  • @queenjoanne1984 Sony is fuckin a game changer. Sony is what introduced CD-ROM to the gaming media.

Without Atari there wouldnt even be video games. Sony has made the best controller just take a look at the ps1,s and compare it to the Nintendo,s 64. Sony will always be the better game maker and the PlayStation consoles are always better then the Nintendo,s. ps1 is better then N64. ps2 is better the the GameCube. ps3 destroys the Wii.

The Nintendo Wii is the biggest joke in console gaming.

  • @coolboy9991 ACTUALLY WITHOUT ODYSSEY ATARI WOULDN'T BE. BUT I AGREE WIIS A JOKE, JESUS EVEN SEGA MADE SEXIER LOOKING CONSOLES. NINTENDO IS GARBAGE BIN GOODWILL TECH.

  • @dukenukem710 Not all Nintendo consoles were garbage.

Gameboy was and is still one of the best handheld devices of all time.

Also i think that the N64 was an awesome system.

  • @coolboy9991 Dude dont feed the trolls!

  • Comment removed

  • @dukenukem710 Somebody needs a hug...

  • @dukenukem710 the nes revived gaming snes revalutinized it n64 perfected 3d gameqube housd some of the best games of all time ds was a great hand held wii WAS JUST AWSOME geat games and internet surfing wii u dosent need to be collered and is ment to be a wii sequl and is a video game system in the form of a tablet and if its so crappy how come ppl are still downloding thire favorites off the wii shop channel

  • @dukenukem710 wow you have nor respect for the company who saved the gaming industry...fuck you you fucking sony fanboy and never come back to this video....man how stupid can people be

  • @StarWarsUnited123 WOW so you "saving video games" is the reason to support any rehased shovelware. WITHOUT america gaming wouldn't have even existed and without odyssey/ atari gaming wouldn't be a phenomena but guess what those companies are either gone or 3rd party, so again what makes ninty the exception. man how stupid can fanboys be. u must have ninty diapers collection too smh u tool

  • @dukenukem710 lol.....i am a fanboy cause i have a opinion....i just dont agree with yours...so i just dont get it why you are wasting your time on this video.......cause you hate it???ß thats just the logic of a child....bye

  • @StarWarsUnited123 Oh the irony in your post is just laughable. Am also stating my opinions as well you know but unlike you I don't need to curse someone with a differing view thats something a child does. Also your getting mad at a company that makes games aim towards children and the elderly(both wear diapers) WOW grow up kid your logic is of a manchild soon your going to tell me nintendo invented motion gaming. Bye-bye go play with you toys.

  • @coolboy9991 Do Your homework the playstation 1 wos an add on for the snes designed by nintendo with parts supplied by sony then nintendo scrapped it thinking it wosn't time for a cd medium so sony released it as the sony playstation so without nintendo the ps1 wouldn't exist...and the wii is the biggest joke in gaming i cant argue with that..

  • @queenjoanne1984 It was designed by Sony, why else do yout hink Nintendo bailed and went to philips. Nintendo knew that sony would be making a bigger profit. Sony also made a CD- Add on for the sega genesis way before working on the one for nintendo. Nintendo didnt have any making on the playstation 1.

The reason why Nintendo didnt have a CD attachment by philips was because Philips decided not to make one for them(im really not sure why.)

  • @coolboy9991

You mean the Sega-CD? I don't believe Sony had anything to with its development, though their games division was certainly active on the format.

I suspect Nintendo just became less and less keen on CD's as time went on, due to past experience and the failures of then current CD systems.

  • @queenjoanne1984 Yes the PS1 started out as an add on for the SNES but I disagree with you saying the Wii is a Joke its got plenty of great games for it like Smash Bros Brawl Super Mario Galaxy Twighlight princess Donkey Kong country returns and some good M games like Mad World and No More Heroes

  • lol they show mario warping, u dont have to cheat to get that.aslo i am more of a genesis kid in the mid 90's but snes/nes where good my older cousins had them.

  • I was born in 89' but grew up on NES and SNES q-tips were a staple because the cartage were so wearn out not to mention my brother and I beat the crap out of each other for a turn.

  • FUCK U NINTENDO

3RD PARTY DEV. REMEMBER HOW THEY TREATED YOU. FORGET NINTY. 3RD PARTY JUST MAKE GAMES FOR SONY; WE TREAT U BETTER AND LET U MAKE ALL THE GAMES U WANT. BTW SONY MAKES 3RD PARTY MONEY. WITHOUT SONY VIDEO GAMES WOULD NOT BE A MEDIA PHENOM=UNLIKE NINTY WHO JUST MADE CACA GIMMICS=GAME CRASH.

    SONY R KINGS OF GAMES & INNOVATORS=WALKMAN,HD TV,3D TV, BLU-RAY,DVD,COMPUTER AND MORE.

NINTY ONLY MADE CACA SHIT GAMES AND STOLE PS3 GRAPHICS & BLURAY.

  • LOL is that Cliffy at 5:23?

  • Super Mario Bos. was one the best games ever

    BULL SHIT!!!!

it IS the greatest game ever made!!!

  • And this time, nintendo loses.

    *dog laughes*

    Me: XD

  • 80 bucks for a nes?!? they sold those things 3 times more expensive were i live. i got one for my 9th birthday in 1989

  • Nintendo would not have succeeded in America if it wasn't for Super Mario brothers.

  • @warnut8 and rob the robot

  • @warnut8 The xbox wouldn't have succeeded without Halo the Playstion wouldn't succeeded without Final Fantasy 7 (or least that what they say) whats your point

  • @Vyse195

Final Fantasy 7 was a great game, but the killer Playstation app was easily Tomb Raider followed by Konami's Metal Gear Solid and then possibly Capcom's Horror masterpiece Resident Evil 2 which must have shifted a squillion playstation consoles(despite also being on other systems too). Anyone who says otherwise is obviously kidding themselves.

Without Final Fantasy 7, the playstation would still have been a monster success.

  • @Vyse195 i personally dislike the playstation and 2 and 3 cos they always have to be more techonologically superior to EVERYTHING! if the XBOX used Blu-ray disc, then the PS3 would use... uh... VIRTUAL REALITY! and we all know how that fails. it's a recurring motif. hell, what made the ORIGINAL playstation popular anyway?

  • @christiansoldier11 have you ever owned a ps?

  • @Vyse195 Excuse me sir. But the Playstation would have done just as well (or almost as well) without FF7. It has many many many many many many other great games.

  • @Ghyst05 the PS1 and Final Fantasy 7 had the most system to game sale ratio (for PS1) and before that the PS1 and N64 were close in sale numbers, but after FF7 came out the PS1 outsold the N64, by alot

  • @Vyse195 not true the n64 came out almost 2 years after the first playstation, also gt sold more than ff7. Learn something before you try to talk on the internet with your incorrect facts

  • @antilove121 I'll believe GT before I believe you

  • @Vyse195 final fantasy 7 came out half way through ps 1's life time, at which point it was already more successful than the snes, get your facts strait dumbass

  • Anyone know what music is used in this episode?

  • whats the song on 4.56 please its so sweet:D?

  • whats the song on 4:56 its sweet:)

  • Thank you Nintendo.

  • 4:37-4:40 YEAH! Blades of Steel

  • I remember when I was in kindergarten i asked my mom for a NES for Christmas, and then she gave me a box in inside was a Sega genesis, and i was a little disappointed but you know i had fun with my genesis i loved Sonic the hedgehog 2 and General Chaos, but I still wish a I got a NES sometimes, so I could for played this game when they were first released

  • @Vyse195 What about snes. Genisis came around atthe same time.

  • @supercooldude2121 maybe i asked for a SNES, you know what I don't remember I think I asked for a NES but I might have asked for a SNES. Either way i was disappointed but i had fun with it my Genisis so it was fine

  • @supercooldude2121 I HATE SONIC

  • Come on PSN I want to play Black Ops NOW!!!

  • Wow so many games I played in my childhood :)

  • CLIFFY B!!!!!!!!! What

  • I never can beat the first world of any old mario game D:

    'world' meaning series of levels

  • LOL

" it felt like i was cheating on my spouse, like i felt dirty and icky"

  • i am really glad tengen got screwed by nintendo

  • miyamoto is the michael jordan of video games

  • @spartan9199 don't agree

  • @spartan9199 the only reason the play station exists is because of nintendo.

the story behind it is that nintendo was working with sony on a cd add on for the SNES but instead they left and a few years later the play station came along so you owe nintendo a lot for that piece of shit..... just a little history for you

  • 4 people played the Atari 800.

  • thumbs up for Cliffy B's hair-do!

  • OMG I remember when I was a little kid everyday I would come home to watch Aladdin and play Starfox for hours end lol I love Nintendo for being my first console and being their with me through out my child hood. Thank You ! Wish you major success Nintendo!

  • Thats the reason why Nintendo is my favorite game console

I had it even before I was born

  • Super Mario 2 and Rockman Series was the Shit!

  • Wasn't Nintendo created in 1976?

  • @BuggatiWeryon No it was created around 100 years ago. Before they were selling video games they were selling playing cards and toys in Japan. Thou 1976 was the year Nintendo decide to go into the video game market and sell games.

  • First console I ever owned, NES. >:D

  • how did LJN ever get a nintendo stamp of approval... lol

  • @ImmaSneakyBeaver maybe they only gave those games very limited releases and I doubt those games bombing would affect Nintendo's overall success very much

  • @ImmaSneakyBeaver There's a few decent games they did. A couple of WWF games were good. WWF Raw and WWF Royal Rumble. Spiderman vs X-Men was a good one too.

  • What game is at 7:16?????

  • @ILetGoOfDogma i think thats ninja gaiden

  • hell yeah seal of approval ftw.

  • It's a shame Nintendo didn't survive the video game crash :/

Imagine what could've video games become today...

(says the dude from an alternate reality)

  • I love how they use old crappy emulators like Nesticle when they do gameplay footage. The sound isn't right.

  • NINTENDO FTW!

  • 1:16 THE SOUND JUST TRANSPORTED ME BACK TO CHILDHOOD! That's so cool!

  • atari was very stupid not to take the offer and they would own mario but thay dont because they were stubern and stupid...

  • @mariorocks20 That's easy to say in hindsight but Atari had just lost a ton of money in the video console market at the time

  • @mariorocks20 It was because they say Coleco to use Donkey Kong for a tech demo, and Atari was feeling betrayed because Nintendo worked behind Atari's back. For more information see on Gamespy's top 25 dumbest moments in gaming number 1.

  • @mariorocks20 You're also a retard

  • @mariorocks20 Yeah they were......I think if it had the Atari name.......It might not have sold........Atari screwed up too much by then...

  • @mariorocks20 Atari missed their chance for greatness with the NES, and Nintendo missed their chance for a partnership with Sony with the Playstation.

  • @mariorocks20 I say this worked out for the best cause Atari could have potentially blown it and the NES could've just died.

  • @mariorocks20 I like your spelling.

  • @mariorocks20 mario started on the atari..

  • @DipKins33

    The arcades, actually.

  • @mariorocks20 atari was not stubborn, the decline the offer as Nintendo release donkey kong on the colecovision which is atari's enemy

  • @jeffpolol

It all fell through when Coleco presented an early version of the Adam version of Donkey Kong. That's where all this uproar over Atari and Nintendo came about. That meant until Atari was sold off by Warner Bros. (in July 1984), Coleco could not release Donkey Kong for the Adam.

  • @mariorocks20 No, they would get Dokney Kong. But you're still right, that would have been better than nothing!

  • I still have my NES complete in box :)

  • 7:34 HAHAHAH!! Justin Leeper!!

  • LOL nintendo cerials

  • I still want the Nintendo seal on modern games =D

  • @forsak3n64 They still are. Check the back of the boxes, you'll be surprised.

  • @Pr0t0dude the back? no one looks there D=

  • @dunnono00, Absolutely agree, while the NEO proved decently popular in my neck of the woods in CT..it was targeted for the arcade perfect enthusiast with deeper pockets, mainly a more mature audience. Ironically the Snes itself also played a role in the overshadowing of it's own 8-bit predecessor as more and more gamers switched over to the 16-bit. TG-16 is actually 8-bits and not 16.

  • @dunnono00, My point and argument is'nt geared towards discrediting your views but rather is geared towards showing you a much more detailed overhead view on how it really happened here in the U.S.

  • @gamecollect101

Let's start with discarding the NEO GEO as a viable, timely competitor to the NES. It made it's retail debut sometime around 1990 with games that cost as much as an NES unit. It's contemporaries were the SNES/Genesis/TG-16 in any case and whatever strategy SNK pulled, it clearly existed in and for a niche market that never threatened the dominant consoles at the time. As far as market share (my point) goes, it barely made a dent, I think you can agree with that.

  • @dunnono00, As for Neo Geo I never disagreed to it's overpricing, I just mentioned that SNK still brought it's own strategy aboard regardless of it's high pricings or targeted niche market.

  • @dunnono00, SEGA (WIki) "In 1986, Sega of America was poised to take advantage of the resurgent video game market in the United States. Sega would also release the Sega Master System and the first Alex Kidd game"....Sega was just unable to fully establish itself due to Nintendo's aggressive market strategy.

  • @dunnono00, So you see, Nintendo didn't really have that explosive headstart of 4 years on TG-16, it was rather more a 2 year proximity. Now couple that with the fact that the TG-16 was specifically designed to target the NES with twice the graphical power and was also instantaneously well known by everyone due to it's aggressive marketing and commercials makes for a very formidable threat to the NES.

  • @dunnono00, Your confusion comes from not living here in the U.S, you see 1985 consisted mainly of a very small and very well unknown test run, a wide release didn't occur until 1986 in which the NES still remained widely unknown to millions due to it's surprise release being ahead of it's marketing. It wasn't untill 87 that the NES really took off in terms of nationwide popularity. An overhead view suggests 1987 not 1985.

  • @dunnono00, "Yet it's even less likely you can compare a console released 4 years after the NES' debut (TG-16) or a console never intended as more than a niche alternative (NEO-GEO AES). Remember, $200 a game? I thought you lived that through that era! It's a common tale for old timers like us to regale today's generation with. I'm sure the NES fought a good fight but my point mainly concerns your line about market share, because the market then was very different in terms of competition."

  • @dunnono00, "I'm sure the NES fought a good fight"- The first one you denied "the market then was very different in terms of competition"- seems like pretty plain english to me. Seems pretty plain to me...now would you like for me to copy and paste my last couple comments that answered those statements directly? You have a pretty short memory span, not me. Where's the core of my misunderstanding you say?

  • @gamecollect101

You mean your retort about the TG16 and NEO GEO? If I recall correctly, your response was something along the lines of "The TG-16 was very good" and "NEO GEO was expensive because it was a strategy!" Which was pretty vague. You didn't address how SNK pricing their games 3-4 times more expensive was meant to compete with other systems, nor did you address the fact the TG-16 was released 4 whole years after the NES. Remember when you said the NES sold most in its first 5 years?

  • Yet it's even less likely you can compare a console released 4 years after the NES' debut (TG-16) or a console never intended as more than a niche alternative (NEO-GEO AES). Remember, $200 a game? I thought you lived that through that era! It's a common tale for old timers like us to regale today's generation with. I'm sure the NES fought a good fight but my point mainly concerns your line about market share, because the market then was very different in terms of competition.

  • @dunnono00, Face it, you've been in over your head since the very start. You've tried attacking my comments from every angle and exhausted all of your options to disqualify and discredit everything I've said, why don't you just research a little more and save yourself some face and further humiliation bonehead. Make a vid to the world as to why and how the NES succeeded if you feel that strong about it.

  • @gamecollect101

I don't know whether you're blatantly lying or not, but I'll give you the benefit of the doubt this once. If you click the 'View All Comments' link which is at the bottom, to the right of the number of comment pages, you'll see every comment, including any of the ones that got lost between pages. Deleted comments are clearly marked as "Removed by user" or some variation thereof. Spammed comments can still be seen simply by clicking "Show". Nothing's been deleted, so no excuses.

  • @dunnono00, So what do you know Mr. Dunnono asks for me to copy and paste comments that are now mysteriously missing and spammed, yes half of your initial comments are now missing jack-ass, so not even cheating your way through this conversation has brought any light to your recycled arguments...the only thing you've mastered is the art of lying and denial. Oh ans you missed a few for deletion.

  • You really don't like being wrong do you? Grow up, I schooled you from the very start very clearly so don't play yourself. I smacked you upside your head time and time again with 110% accurate information and now you want to play lawyer.."point where I said this, point where I said that ...paste here, paste there" Nothing you've said has carried any weight since the very start. Talk knowledge and stop crying.

  • @gamecollect101

So you're willing to play 50 questions about game trivia, but you can't copy and paste a single sentence that you're basing this entire argument around? Sorry, you're not fooling anyone. You can't find it and you just can't admit it, can you? Can't bear to get that ego cut down to a more appropriate size? By being unable to do this most simplest of requests, you've effectively ceded this argument over to me.

  • @dunnono00, Go ahead, challenge me. Pick a subject or topic from any system, any one of it's games, any generation or anything you think is beyond me...shoot off. Anything any era. Maybe your favorite games, systems or franchises....go.

  • @gamecollect101

It's nice to see you're so invested in this that you can't wait for my next comment, but I'm afraid it's not mutual. Now, I already challenged you, and I'll reiterate it right here. If that's EXACTLY what I meant, show me. That should be so easy, shouldn't it? That's the point I'm making, you said, it should be so evident in my comments. Point it out since it's so very obvious. You're not going to distract me with frivolous gaming trivia.

  • @dunnono00, Backing out of the crab hole now aren't you, you clearly know what you said even from your very first statement so flipping the script now is a bit tad late. Is that why it took you one entire hour to respond to my last comments while you sat in front of your PC? That's EXACTLY what you meant from the start and your only lying to yourself, me and everyone else. Call me out? How can I assist you again.

  • @dunnono00, A 15 year old informed me this week about a popular homebrew title I never knew existed in all my years of hardcore gaming and collecting. Do you think I said "YOUR WRONG, IV'E BEEN COLLECTING SEVERAL YEARS"....absolutely no, I researched the title and that kid has my biggest respect, in fact I'm sending him all my NES repeats as a gift to him this week.

  • @dunnono00, I'm actually a very nice person and don't discriminate against opinion but your lying to yourself and others by being so quick with false assumptions, let's be realistic and fair to the knowledge of those who want to know the truth eh.

  • Your point is that the NES's success is due to a very different market in which it lacked the competition that's displayed in todays generation, see the problem is A. You really don't know much of your history and B. Your point of view is constantly blurred because of it.

  • @gamecollect101

False assumptions? You've been assuming things about me all through this discussion. I think you really should pay closer attention to your own posts... but putting that aside, I'm going to stop you right here from rambling in a dozen different directions to make yourself look better after the tantrum you threw

Point to me where I said "The NES's success is due to a very different market." This is the core of your misunderstanding and I'm calling you out on it.

  • @dunnono00, When you have systems like the PS3 and 360 who share most of it's popular titles with exception to it's exclusives of course and their displayed graphics are on par with one another, your inevitability going to get a close race. Past consoles had their own exclusive libraries and therefore posed bigger threats due to it's unique and distinctive libraries. The games are always the main source.

  • @dunnono00, Imagine that after taking a second look you realized that the beam was coming from a lost ship who was using it's narrow beam to destroy a rock that was actually the source of it's information. See the "breaking up" is actually me giving you several aspects and examples as to why your point of view or "beam" is off it's target, you just need to "calibrate" your beam because it's pointing in the wrong direction buddy.

  • @gamecollect101

And since you know my point so well, why don't you tell me what it is I've been telling you? What is my original point? Let's test your comprehension, eh?

  • @dunnono00, Just listen to the statement made @3:08, there's your answer as to how the NES excelled and was so successful.

  • @gamecollect101

Imagine a beam striking a rock. The rock refracts the beam, breaks it up into several pieces. It's me throwing one statement at you & you breaking it into several unrelated arguments (rambling wildly) Arguing in a traditional manner is useless because you're, no offense, not sharp enough to get the point. Maybe too many years of gaming caused you to neglect other things, I don't know. To illustrate how off the mark you are, C&P. Or are you ducking me because you know I'm right?

  • @dunnono00, Again, relax yourself and take a second look at your statements. Research my answers and you'll find that I'm correct, being wrong doesn't make you less a gamer or deteriorate your skill level so just calm yourself. Your just distorting the facts with your own personal views, which means that your filling in the blanks with assumptions...that's why you've been incorrect several times.

  • @dunnono00, Who throwing tantrums? I just said you were full of shit very calmly from my leather chair while sipping my coffee, that was 1 comment..not 4. Youtube comments aren't deleted so no worries there. I heard your side but yet you continually duck and ignore my clear answers. How could you even begin to compare or talk about a subject that you haven't even properly researched yet?

  • @dunnono, Not only are you short on NES knowledge but you also lack the knowledge on other consoles of that era like the TG-16, if you knew anything about the TG-16 and it's library you wouldn't even have mentioned it. The TG-16 is the single most underrated console of all time my friend, it's U.S Hu-Card library is relatively small but saturated with hit gems, not to mention it's many formats and introduction to CD attachment.

  • @gamecollect101

Personal attacks? Did you forget the 4 comment tantrum you threw earlier? I've been a gentleman practically by contrast. Your troubles with short term memory are casting a a shadow over your long term. I confronted both of your previous posts head on. I asked you to copy and paste two simple simple statements. The gauntlet's been thrown, will you pick it up, or would you rather call me "kid" for the 100th time & keep trying to convince yourself that you "won" while ducking me?

  • @dunnono00, Lol, reread your comments kid. See your little personal attacks are a testament to your lack of knowledge. Your still scrambling around on dead subjects I already informed you about, I summarised and broke it down for you a 2nd time and yet you still amazingly dodge me again. You're assumptions are just that, assumptions. I answered all your assumptions with real facts. Listen and learn.

  • @dunnono00, Give it up kid, it's o.k to be wrong once in a while. It's clear to everyone that you don't favor the NES or you just completely didn't live in the U.S. at the time. Just take a broader view by researching a bit more instead of wasting your time with this rock as you say. On another note, have you even paid attention to the vid right above? Might clear up a few things for you, no offense intended.

  • @gamecollect101

I offer you a quick, easy way to prove your point and you... duck me completely. Now you're doing the equivalent of a 1st grader sticking his fingers in his ear and shouting "I WON! YOU LOSE" All you had to do was read my comments and copy+paste and yet you can't even do that. Instead you keep braying on and on about arguments I answered. I said why NEO GEO and TG-16 were not equivalent competition compared to later generation console wars. Is reading painful for you? No offense

  • @dunnono00, Yes I absolutely said the NES had the NEO GEO etc,etc as competitors in response to your lame excuse on how the NES's success was due to lack of competitors....I clearly answered all your initial arguments but it seems to me that you conveniently dodged my last two comments, so who's lacking comprehension you say? Lol, don't kid yourself bud..read your own comments.

  • @dunnono00, You also proceed to compare the PS2's 10yr selling span to that of the NES's without taking into account that the NES moved most of it's units during it's first 5yrs, furthermore you also completely dismiss the fact that the PS2's was largely propelled by the very successful PS1. How could you make such a wreckless comparison when the population alone had tripled in size by 1999. These are just some of your many misconceptions of reality.

  • @gamecollect101

Nice to see you've recovered from your outburst

    >you highlight that a considerable part of the NES's success was due to lack of competition

Copy and paste where I said that

    >you go on to say that the NES fought a "good fight"

You're grasping for straws. You were the one going on how the NES had to deal with the Neo Geo and TG-16. I'm kind of wondering if you even pay attention to your own comments now, since it's pretty clear you don't read mine, or at least comprehend them.

  • @dunnono00, Ok, you highlight that a considerable part of the NES's success was due to lack of competition, I correct you and explain that it was overwhelming dominance achieved through legendary titles instead. Then you go on to say that the NES fought a "good fight", I wouldn't call dominating 90% of the market and moving 61.9 million units a good fight. Sorry but your views are way off.

  • @dunnono00, What happened? I thought you had well rounded knowledge? Yes I can attack any subject matter from many different angles, it's called knowledge my friend. Of course things are incohesive to you, I speak of things you can't even relate to yet and all your slick talk has led you to a dead end. It's been very evident that you missed the NES train, don't be mad at me..be mad at the train. Lol

  • @gamecollect101

Where to begin? It's like you're a rock of ignorance & any attempt at illuminating you is reflected off in arrogant asides like comparing yourself to Jordan, incoherent arguments about subjects I never brought up & believing that spastic ramblings equates to knowledge What happened to you? All your rantings have lead to nothing more than personal attacks on me since you've clearly run out of material. Want to list your credentials for the 3rd time? Want to beg me to "trust you"?

  • Yes I know the Wii has it's limitations, it was purposely designed to play Mario (Just answering your next plan of attack). Anyhow you crack me up bud, again keep your knowledge reserved if you don't like being proven wrong because you've made it very obvious to me where you stand in knowledge. Your brilliant speech is constantly overshadowed by your limited views, just thought I'd let you know.

  • @gamecollect101

All you've let me know is how arrogant & petty you are, not to mention a rambler unable to put together a cohesive argument despite using 2-4 comments to my 1. In terms of "plans of attack" your ability to deduce and predict is lousy and that's putting it kindly. You go all over the place on topics I never even mentioned. I would sooner trust a 12 year old who has at least read the history to know more than you at this point. A shame some old timers become so close minded.

  • @dunnono00, Part of why Nintendo is'nt what it used to be is because they never fully expanded into the hardcore gaming arena and decided to go with it's very reserved image, targeting a complete different demographic which is about a third of todays gamers. On the contrary NES and SNES existed at a time when Nintendo targeted everyone, so if that was the case today..Nintendo would've dominated the market again, and again...and again, and again, and again.

  • @dunnono00, The "credentials" is just to show you that I have a birds eye view of what's been going on bud, and honestly you telling me you've been there is not believable based on your tunnel vision and lack of respect so I think your full of shit....just face it, you would probably try to teach Micheal Jordan how to dribble if you had the chance. Lol. Sorry but you haven't told me anything I don't already know.

  • @dunnono00, Again no fierce competition? Dude where the hell were you from 86-93? Pardon me but you definitely weren't in the U.S my friend. If the Turbo grafx, Sega Genesis, Sega Master System, Neo Geo, Panasonic 3DO, All handhelds of the era weren't fierce competition I don't know what is! The Genesis forced the Nes to evolve young buck. Remember that?
