  • Aww cute. Poor rat

  • To everyone paranoid about mind control and slavery in humans, it's already been done. Just go to the pokies and watch people put money into metal slots. This is just a little more creative way to do operant conditioning. It's not much different for yelling 'left!' and then giving the rat a treat when he turns left. [cont]

  • [cont] The 'pleasure centre' thing was found in the 50s. They tried it in humans in the 70s, even to try make a gay man straight, "Septal stimulation for the initiation of heterosexual behavior in a homosexual male, "The 'pleasure centre' thing was found in the 50s. They tried it in humans in the 70s, even to try make a gay man straight, find "Septal stimulation for the initiation of heterosexual behavior in a homosexual male" on scribd. But DBS is now used to treat Parkinson's.

  • Fucking PETA freaks! You are so naive! When you get Parkinsons you will be begging for the technology that this scientific work reviels. Animals are having a hard time all over the world, and this rat is not one of them. And the baseline: IT'S A FUCKING RAT!!! They are regarded as vermin by most people on earth anyways, and in the aspect of creating new life-saving or improving techonology I have nothing against using animals for lab tests.

  • Aww that's so sad. What a terrible life.

  • puppies

  • brain wired remote control war dogs...

  • There must be a special place in Hell for people who do these kinda things.

  • If rats ever rise against us we are fucked. We've subjected them to every kinds of horrible and demeaning experiments, they will have no mercy.

  • "Go get me a sandwich"

A new day will come when this applies to women doing this to rats

  • Just what we need..

The day will come when they apply this to humans for a new era of slavery.

    Mark my words.

  • @tom432011 Yeah but you'd be getting high for doing it. If I could get a hit of "happy" for taking out the trash for you I'd do it. It's a hell of a lot better than pushing papers 60 hours a week for an asshole boss that makes you feel miserable, which IMO is just another form of slavery.

  • @tom432011 They don´t need this to control us...the economic system is already doing that. This type of science as already gave their fruits to stop Parkinsons disease from dying from respiratory death...slavery in Europe as already endend centuries ago...just update yourself...

  • @tom432011 Exactly. This experiment deeply worries me.

  • TODAY, REMOTE CONTROLLED RATS. TOMORROW, REMOTE CONTROLLED PEOPLE!!!!

  • @hecktick133 hypnosis of the future?

  • This kind of technology needs to be destroyed, forgotten, and forbidden, before it is abused.

  • @Kelarre653 this isnt some technology. It is a step closer to finding a cure for diseases like parkinson and alhzheimer

  • @mattievk

But either way, what if the wrong people get a hold of this?

  • @mattievk Realistically, most technological advances are created and utilized for ultimately destructive purposes. Parkinson's and Alzheimer's will work themselves out of our species (and new things will arise) whereas spontaneous conditions such as cancer which are highly influenced by outside variables will likely increase with exposure to these technologies which are only just revealing themselves to be considerably harmful to human health. I can do without this and many other technologies.

  • robotic rat orgasms?

  • IT'S THE IMPERIUS CURSE!!!

  • I was watching a quickscope montage 3 seconds ago...

  • How is this any more immoral or cruel than pulling the reins on a horse left or right?

  • How do you make it eat?

  • i want a radio controlled bear

  • Siamo alla frutta!

  • poor rat their eating its brain away

  • This is disgusting.

  • @FlamingBat lol it's hilarious... it's not like the rat is getting hurt

  • theyre doing something like this at my university

  • THIS is what you get when you go into a limb clinic and get "augmented". I bet this rat was just thinking he was going to get a "computer assisted social interaction enhancer" and didn't read the fine print! I bet this isn't what he asked for!

  • @youllneverfindem Rats can't read. Rat's don't even have a center in their brain that handles language.

  • wrong here, we have not yet seen the full capabilities of the bran yet...

  • Why do they have to use the cute rats :(

  • soon enough they will start controlling human beings. The age of deterrence has become the age of controll.

  • new spying device

  • wowwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww this is fucking amazing and Genius holt shit

  • FRED BANTING KILLED OVER 20 BIG DOGS TO DISCOVER INSULIN i live in the city it was discovered

  • For the rat. Pros- he lives more, triggers pleasure spot on brain if being good. Cons- annoying directions, a backpack that is heavy that is connectivity to his brain. I can see that its neither cruel or good but just a regular experiment.

  • OMG! i love rats and have two myself and now i see that poor little rattie

  • unfortunately this video did not show the extremely beneficial outcomes of this kind of research, so an absolute shitload of morons decide that it is ethically wrong.

  • @snappyface101 what about the extreme horrific outcomes? Man is evil and this will be used for bad more than good.

  • @asorita1

while there are potential negatives with this kind of research, it is ridiculous to straight out say that man is evil. And many things that people have said in the past are evil or in humane have lead to hugely beneficial scientific advancements.

  • @snappyface101

The only beneficial outcome, that I can see. is that it get them one step closer to human mind control.

  • so at 1:53, he's talking to a rat ._.

  • Now we do rats... a few years or maybe even as we speak this wil bes tested and used on humans.... Alsooo they talk about stimulating the mouse.... But that aint stimulating thats causing pain unless he does what needs to be done. This is where us humans fall and dont understand the valeu of life...

  • @HyNiJo Hasnt it been semi done already? Like by affecting the balance of a person, or soemthing like that, you can force them to move in a dirrection, or turn.. or so I heard

  • @A3319 I dont know about that, I do know that the media influences our opinions en decision trough movies, commercials and other media attended messages. There is something alse too... The RFID chip.. Its extremely smal and before it was used in machines and other products. If u ever bought close u have bought RFID chips. But this chip could also send a certain frequency trough the body to alter the brain activity of that moment.. for example to buy the same label again. I know its creepy!

  • @HyNiJo Creepy stuff indeed

  • @HyNiJo

FFS shut you're whinging mouth. Sometimes sacrifices need to be made for the rest of us. It is a rat. A RAT. It has no value. Nobody cares about it because it is a rat. If you do care, tough titties. Stop crying about rats. They are rats.

    RATS.

Why not spend your "give a shit"credits on other people eh?

  • @toothyp1cks Have you even read my comment? Your pretty tough with your reply... Yeah it is a rat and no compared to a human it has not much valeu.... But thats not really what my comment is about... is it?? Now read again and come back to me on that... This rat is maybe the first step to remote controll humans you retard... Also idd like to hear you whine when your brain is being inserted with pain to make you do what they want you to do.... ASSHOLE

  • @HydoSkills they are just animals, they are irational beings

  • @akoctopeng You are an irrational being... Moron.... Read my fucking comment before you reply... What is the use of torturing your so called irrational beings.... Also without these irrational beings we wouldnt even exist.. You tiny brain is the most irrational thing i experienced today... Now FUCKOFF cause your worth less than a rat, Ass!!!

  • @HydoSkills It could also be the first step in giving people with no mobility, mobility. If you assume we live an a stable and moral society then it's worth it. You do realize how many studies have been made using animals that actually ended up saving millions of others?

  • @deadmeh I know we need to test for the graeter cause. But this stable society you speak of is not as stable as you might asume. There for these experiments may mean a way to be mobile again. There other face it might get is control. Something you see all around you in commercials and speeches of politicians. This kind of technology can be as dangerous as it could be helpfull. Thats what im sayin all the time. Testing animals is not needed to achieve succes on science though....

  • @HydoSkills Animals are needed in some part of science. There is no other way of making sure the results are safe for the rest of the population. If you don't trust the world to that much of a degree, you might as well kill yourself since science will only advance and a minority of it will be misused.

  • @deadmeh Dude, your living in a dreamworld where science is cure for all evil... There is a way without harming innocent beings to discover whether its harmfull for us or not.... Maybe you should do some more research before you speak such nonsense. Making people mobile is just making another parasite mobile who can cause the world to suffer a litle more. The only irational beings on this planet is humanity for humanity destroys everything of this beautyfull planet.

  • @deadmeh Now i feel pitty for this remote controlled rat and the tons of remote controlled monkey's that must suffer the science lust of humanity. Because we need to cure and repare ourselfs to cause more destruction. For me... this science is completly useless. I will not reach my 35th birthday and i wont be cured. But if i had to choose to make these innocent beings suffer for my cure or die right now. I would choose to die. This is not just a rat.... This is evil at play, but we dont know it.

  • @HydoSkills We're better off with people like you off this planet anyways. Please take any other people you know with a distrust of science with you when you die.

  • @Crossopterygii Insgelijks kankerjong

  • @HydoSkills English please

  • @Crossopterygii Concerning the fact that u are a useless parasite, no, i will not take the time and effort to speak anymore english to you than im doin right now... Just go play with ur dick while watching remote controll rats and stop bothering humanity with you uselessness... GO FUCK URSELF

  • @Crossopterygii O and 1 more thing... If you tiny brain has trouble figgering out what im saying to you in dutch...

Go to google translate than.... o wait... no.... Go to a high building, stand on top of it... Ask god why he made you so insanely stupid and jump... Goodluck

  • @toothyp1cks Well i dont give a shit about you, when they chip and remote controll you. I dont know what the fuck your talking about but what is the use of this sacrafice?? If it would be to mind control you it would be worth it.. Ass...hole

  • that racist evil human is the source future holocausts.

    he must be killed soon.

  • that man should be terminate soon

  • Looks like the movie "Gamer" might not be that far into the future.

  • he hasnt studyed my landlord yet

  • 0:51 - who is the animal ?

  • worst prank ever

  • U such a sick bastard!!!Thats how fcked up humans race is they wants to control everything..This is animal abuse I hope PETA will get your ass!!!!!I wanna put that thing on u an make u jump out from the roof ,asshole!!!!

  • @monique9134 WOW. I just subscribed to you. Nice dancing. I was going to say that threatening to kill a human for tickling a rats wiskers is a bit much. But your butt was too cute.

  • I can see a lot of useful applications for this such as inspecting things like airducts or the inside of airplane wings.

  • Maybe in the future the goverments can do this to humans and send us into war for rich peoples sake.

  • well this is cool and all but how will this help us? and I hope the rat is ok at least it's getting something out of it

  • @sabbathcrazy Indeed. In today's news I came across a rat that could control the electric vehicle it was connected to with it's thoughts. The manufacturing company claimed it was developing this technology for the benefit of people in wheelchairs. Yeah right! Lying bastards. Scary to see how far this technology has 'progressed'.. God bless you.

  • You sick bastad

  • WHAT HAS BEEN DONE IS VERY CRUEL I AM A MEMBER OF P.E.T.A IM COMING TO GET YOU

  • awsome technology

  • Cool! Imagine the possibilities!

  • @virtuous8 unlimited!

  • I want the human race elimanted.

  • @PinkPunkyKat you don't wanna know what i do to my rats..

  • @PinkPunkyKat . You are human dumbass!

  • @FreedomFighterUK Thank you. I love you too. You're so sweet.

  • Fuck you In-Hwan

  • Now don't everyone freak out, but there are definitely medical applications for this that I don't think the video clip is showing here. "Control" can be used for good as well, it's not all evil. Some Parkinson's pt's have deep brain stimulation similar to this. This should be viewed as a breakthrough, not the road to a robot army.

  • Man Should Be Shot

  • this is sick

  • If this is on BBC, god knows what the military has.

I think it is time for the rabble to start worrying.

  • Yeah, plus this vid looks about 5-10 yrs old so I can imagine the technology has come on leaps and bounds since then.

  • Shot da bad virus controll this shit is inside

  • Shit its global

  • This is abuse. I don't care if it's pleasure center is activated, it''s still abuse. That just is not right.

  • @PinkPunkyKat

The rats feel very little discomfort, actually. Also, they still have a choice in what they do. They are choosing to comply with the commands because doing so rewards them with such a high sense of ecstasy and well-being that you couldn't even begin to imagine it. It feels like it's Christmas, and your birthday, and you just singlehandedly defeated Hitler, AND you just took ten times the lethal dose of cocaine, all at once.

  • I still think it's wrong. If they think this kind of work is so important why not test it out in criminals such as pedophiles or terrioirists.

  • @PinkPunkyKat

Because pedophiles and terrorists lack the ability to crawl through rubble or find explosives by scent, either one of which are abilities that have the potential, if properly harnessed, to save millions of human lives. What is the cost of a few rats' well-being compared to that?

It's great that you have a moral circle that extends past H. sapiens, but don't forget that sometimes, living things must be sacrificed for the greater good.

  • Why can't we use actual robots for that then? This is why I hate the human race.

  • @PinkPunkyKat

Because robot technology is not nearly as sophisticated as a rat. The rat's motor cortex alone is a feat that we are hundreds of years from matching. By harnessing the incredible processing power already developed in the rat's firmware, we can have a remote-controlled unit capable of traversing incredibly complex terrain that computer technology (at that level of compactness) could not even begin to evaluate.

  • sad i think 98645773 is right they shouldnt treat an animal like that how would u like it

  • @icarly1000 , #1, it isn't getting hurt, #2, It is only one rat, #3, it's only an EXPERIMENT.

  • Poor rat.

  • Anything that can be done to a rat can be done to a human

being. And we can do most anything to rats. This is a hard thing to

think about, but it's the truth. It won't go away because we cover our

    eyes.

    (C) Bruce Sterling. Cyberpunk in the Nineties

  • I want to know more about this wire stimulating the pleasure center

  • If there was a natural disaster, and people were stuck in a collapsed building, a rescue team could send cyborg rats out to find survivors and report their location, so people could be rescued faster.

  • its goddamn abuse!!! i dont care if you play god but thats just wrong!!

  • Lols say one thing thats wrong about it

  • FYI There are very strict laws that govern this type of research. These laws ensure the most possible level of humane treatment for these animals.

Also, this is simple Pavlov control - its no different then training a dog to do tricks for a treat. Just instead of a treat, you get a jolt in the pleasure center in the brain.

Conspiracy theorists beware, this technology can be used to help people with serious medical problems: paralysis, dimentia, seizures, Parkinson's, etc.

  • @palmisano “strict laws ensure..humane treatment..” Oh yeh? Wd those be the same “humane” laws that allow labs to inject 1000’s mice with capsicum so they cd catalogue 40 degrees of agony by different facial expressions from mild to the absolute, most excruciating pain possible (before death ensues)? & how come PETA still get footage of deliberate animal abuse if these protective laws are always adhered to & enforced? Truth is – the (unenforced) laws ain’t worth the paper they’re written on.

  • u paranoid freaks need to shut the hell up, this rat isnt in pain- its rewarded for its actions.. just as much as u feel good after eating icecream. this tech is important because research is being done into how to make blind people see again through a camera connected to the brain, trail tests have been done and proof of concept is complete. the resolution is low but its a start, this controles actions but it perfects connecting electronics to the brain directly to guide its proccesses

  • Huhahaha :) PRAISE THE SCIENTISTS ! I love it when you can see their true colors, and MORE COMMING SOON ahahah YOU MONSTERS ! TAP A WIRE TO YOUR WIFES AND MOMS PATHETIC JERKS !

  • yea some things i think science shouldn't mess with like this

  • pretty soon theyre going to be putting these on babies

  • about the same time as pigs fly

  • lol

  • thats fucking awesome! i want 1!

  • Cant you ppl understand, this little rat .. is a "pioneer" in science its doing a HUGE favour to humanity. And why is everyone so negative, this could be used to have people in need to have artificial limbs and be able to feel with them.... and many other things, to treat severe brain injures.. open your eyes.

  • bet it needs an asprin

  • on one hand you got the low brow wanna be technology freaks going "rats aren't people" and on the other hand you have people wise to the truth who know its going to be people next.

  • Im gonna tell the A.S.P.C.A thats soooooo mean!

  • U IDIOTS!!!!!! FUCK!! THE STUPID RAT!!!... CAN'T U SEE THERE SENDING SIGNALS TO THE RATS "BRAIN"!!!! AND THE GOV WILL WANT TO USE THIS ON US SOON i.e TO STOP "TERRORISM".... !!!!!!!!!

  • To stop terrorism? maybe...or maybe to stop US as people! to control us and make us do what they want....it already happening!

  • the rat got controll... this is nothing else than tell a child that he gets candy if he ,for instance, shut up... i do not however say its okay (but i think it is), im just saying that this rat got controll but it choose to get stimulated. (sorry for any spelling fails)

  • animals dont just to it

  • this pisses me off...

  • That's horrible!

  • thats great!... we become more and more advanced in technic... you have to accept that...

  • HORRIBLE

  • THAT IS ANIMAL ABUSE!!!

  • Don't let P.E.T.A. see this one.

  • @blenderfroggy Rats are the only animal that can be researched without any boundaries/cruelty. PETA cant do anything for the rats...

  • @blenderfroggy they are bullshit anyway

  • amazing, but cruel i think.. the poor thing should have control over its life

  • yYu have to start development somewhere. Better start with something that has a very simple nervous system to reduce pain...aka a rat.

  • Amazing!

  • OMFG! OMFG! ur fucking mean get a mother fucking life bitch! controling an animal is not nice!

  • that's not nice

  • Scary

  • its so mean ur controling there body they dont know whats going on!!!!!!!

  • yah . and ... rats today , humans tomorrow ... our brain is made like a rat's brain , just bigger and a bit more complex ... nothing man can't control ... scary .

  • Hah cool! i want to do that!
