I used redsn0w & followed the steps mentioned on redmond site & as shown in this Video. But it stuck showing the apple logo. When I reboot using redsn0w with tethered reboot option it stucks @ pineapple logo also Itunes does not recognize it. Please help me .. now I can not power off the phone neither see the home screen. I need help... I jailbroke my iphone 3gs and i thought i'd save some time if i'd install ipad baseband at the same time. the jailbreak worked and then i tethered the phone so that cydia would work. afterthat when i opened cydia it asked me to update it so i did. when it went to respring, it froze.. nothing at all was happening. i couldn't turn it off or anything so i decided to force turn it off. then i couldnt turn it on again... tried a few things then restored it.

I think this is exactly what was said in the video, but I need to confirm it. I already jailbroke and unlocked my 3gs with fw 4.2.1 using this method. Is it impossible to successfully restore and update to ios 5? I already restored and updated my phone and it is unable to activate, although it does connect to wifi. Is this directly caused by having flashed up my baseband, or do you think my already dying iphone finally gave out?
