fabulous singing and the musical arrangement was bouncy great not slow like d'orly carte records i have on vynl from the 1950's. the pianst was great enjoyed singing withem in the bouncy tempo. really enjoyed this performance. ROGHARM rated highest 11+.
The second refrain should have started with "Then give three cheers and one cheer more to the well-bred Captain of the Pinafore" but otherwise a nice rendition. I particularly liked hearing female voices singing in the chorus. Nice touch.
Reminds me of the community plays I would go to when I was younger and couldn't afford Broadway prices. They may have been lacking in expensive scenery and method acting, but they were enjoyable just the same.
A ragged bunch of part-time amateurs, a cheesy stage and a struggling pianist...and still everyone has fun. Thanks to Gilbert and Sullivan for composing their delightful operetta.

@cuddlyable3 has this so right. G&S is for ENJOYING. It's FUN.

For years idiots used to put down G&S as "passe", "stale", "stodgy", etc., and YouTube shows just what profound idiots they truly were.

@MrCuddlyable3 Because there's no such thing as a G&S performance that does not work!

Yes, but the uniform is a little too "merchant service"... i.e.... the uniform ought to be better tailored and more elaborate...
