You definitely have the best instructional videos out here. The others say "beginning banjo," but after showing you the basic strum a couple of times they start playing chords. I'm like wait!! The only Cords I know are the Levi's that I wore in the 80's!
So, thank you for taking her slow and giving me enough courage to go to my first lesson. Maybe I'll wear Cords ;-)

I'm an old buzzard who tried learning bluegrass l 50 year ago without much success. I now have an open back 5 string and have made more progress with frailing in two weeks than I did in a year trying bluegrass.

I had been playing my Dads old Tenor banjo and was having a great time learning on it, so I decided to buy a 5 string Banjo. The "beginners" book I bought with it jumped right into playing bluegrass with fingerpicks and memorizing all these forward and backward rolls etc. I was ready to give up and then found your great and fun lessons, so I've been learing to fral and am having a lot of fun!

I started out trying to play the three finger way but i cant put the thumb roll in with the melody its just yet do you think you could do a video on that.
I've got a banjo and I can't wait to learn from this site. The only problem is that our computer is in the middle of the house and the whole family will get to enjoy me learning! Aren't they lucky!! Can't wait!! t:)
