@pdlip1 Early 1990's.. come on.. Really? Its a Panasonic PV-L651 VHS-C Camcorder. Purchased in 2003. My friend was taking the video work. I was flying the airplane. Video was transferred to DVD then to "avi" format when uploaded to Youtube. My 2009 Olympus digital video camera's LCD screen is cracked and I couldn't use that one.
@pdlip1 Actually what makes it look "vintage" is the fact that he was filming through the aircraft's plexiglass window that has a tinted film laminated to it. It actually was a bright sunny day- but If you noticed- the white wing actually looks smoky green. This also effected the camera's ability to focus well.
I suggest taking a look at a video I posted called "Rails-The painted turtle!!" (or go to my channel- it's the channel video) It was done with this same camera. WAY better quality. :):)
@TheRACINGRANDY IAIS 513 has been in service almost 2 years. entered service on 21 Jan 2010. from what i've heard, the derailment happened in the consist not too far behind the lash-up in which 513 was lead with IAIS 504.
Sorry to hear about that. On a similiar note its amazing how fast clean up crews can clear that out. I was reading sometimes 24hrs or less after the investigation is over. Thanks for sharing the video.
@DardanellesBy108 Yeah, in fact this is Monday and it happened this past Friday and I just got word this morning that they cleared the tracks and the road. Right now, IAIS is using BNSF tracks from Rock Island, IL to Galesburg, IL to Peoria to Bureau Junction, IL.Then on to Chicago. Its a bit out of the way run to keep the commerce flowing.
What kind of camera are you using. One from the early 90's.

@ILSRWY4 LOL, j/k. I had a VHS-C way back in the day. The video has a vintage look to it and makes it look like it was filmed years ago.

@ILSRWY4 That's a relief. Usually when a diesel train derails, the locomotive blows up!
